The cottage is very comfortable and quiet - perfect for 2 people who want to get away from tourist spots but still close enough to visit. Harrison was very helpful and responsive. Village pub is easily walkable and very friendly and welcoming Would highly recommend

Qualitativ sehr hochwertig

Eine hochwertig eingerichtete Wohnung auf dem Land. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Für die Sauberkeit ziehe ich einen Punkt ab da auf den Fensterbretter Dreck und Spinnweben waren und im Gefrierschrank noch etwas drin lag und nicht alle Fächer auf gingen, da er total vereist war. Ansonsten war alles top.

Delightful

The cottage was everything we hoped for: a lovely place, in a gorgeous, quiet setting, perfectly located for visiting the area. This is only the tiniest of quibbles, but it could do with a more thorough welcome note, spelling out what to do about tedious but essential things like the bins and so on. But it was easily figured out with a couple of messages to Harrison, so all good. (And this really is nit-picking, but someone needs to sort out the booklets and magazines in the drawer under the TV on local attractions - it's 2025 and we found some from 2019!) But, honestly, we don't want to be those pernickety people - and we thoroughly recommend.

High quality accommodation in lovely surroundings

We were very happy with the accommodation, very comfortable and in lovely surroundings. Totally dog friendly and safe for them to run around the garden. A few small tweaks - extra mugs/crockery and a doormat in particular - would make this even better

wonderful few days

The property was in a quiet location with beautiful grounds and parking. It was spotlessly clean and was a converted barn with very high spec details. It was warm, welcoming and everything we needed. We cooked every day and the kitchen facilities were perfect. A comfortable bed and the most wonderful modern bathroom with the best shower we have ever had.Within easy reach of the seaside, we went to Bexhill, St Leonards, Hastings and Petts level.Although the weather was very wet we still had a fabulous time and felt very relaxed .The owner was very helpful and friendly but also left us to our own which was perfect. Would not hesitate to go back.

Beautiful property in glorious surroundings

A lovely large high quality apartment in a barn conversion. Set in beautiful countryside. Lovely gardens and lake.The only downside was the local pub and restaurant didn't open in the few days we stayed, so if you wanted to eat out you had to get in the car.

The perfect escape

This is such a beautiful escape for 2 - even prettier than the pictures show, with all the modern amenities. It is super cosy and warm, and perfect for a dog too. The host communication was easy and friendly and we will definitely be returning. Could not recommend more!

Relaxing stay

The property is set in the most picturesque place. You look out onto a couryard and then you see the miniture lake, it's beautiful. The property is furnished to a very high spec and is very comfortable and relaxing. The owner was very helpful when something on the tv didn't work, he came over and sorted it out. It's great for dogs as they have space to run around. It's near enough to get to many lovely places without having to travel too far. Highly recommend this place and I'm sure in the summer it would be even more beautiful.

High class property - in tranquil surroundings

Hi spec' property, lots of space for two people - really well laid out except for bathroom window (plain glass???). Lovely shared garden and ample parking space. No information pack which was the first time we have experienced this. Apart from the minor blips it was a really enjoyable stay - perfect to explore the surrounding countryside and towns - Rye is well worth a visit. The local Pub in Westfield (New inn) has great welcome and really good food without robbing the bank.

Calme, propreté, tranquillité

Les pièces sont grandes et donc c'est très agréable. Tout était très propre à l'arrivée. Les photos sont parfaitement conformes. La salle de bains est très bien, la cuisine aussi. L'emplacement est pratique pour visiter le région et il y a un grand supermarché Sainsbury à moins de 10 mn de voiture. Seul petit bémol, communication correcte mais minimale avec le propriétaire. Une belle adresse de repos et de calme.

Our stay at Ivy cottage

Fantastic property we took our three dogs and the owner allowed our friends to come and visit us for the day and we made use of the beautiful garden. The cottage was very comfy , clean and had everything we needed . The bedroom and bathroom felt luxurious too . We made use of all the amenities in the cottage too as it was very comfortable and cosy . Rye and camber was in easy driving distance too . We and our doggies had a wonderful time and would like to say thank you to the owner for allowing our extra asks . A really great place to stay would highly recommend. Kim & Geoff

Great location

Warm welcome from Harris (and Fred). The beautiful garden was not secure for our dog as a fence to the stable was missing so she had to be tethered. In the majority the cottage was comfortable (except the bed) and very clean but was missing a home user guide so we didn't know what to do with the recycling/rubbish. It was odd to find open boxes/packages of food in the freezer and fridge and we didn't know what to do with them. But great location for Hastings/ Battle/ BexHill. The vineyard was worth a visit and easily walkable and the New Inn in town also worth a visit and walkable.
