We had a nice time. I do wish we would have had one more bathroom for the bunk beds upstairs. It took me a while to figure out how to get back and forth from the house to various places, such as Public's. Thank goodness for the directions provided on my cell phone. I did run out of gigabytes. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. I would recommend that the queen bed be a king size -- just my opinion.
The pools were nice, but very crowded. I had no idea that the 4th is the busiest time.
Enjoyed the fireworks.
I must train the kids to clean up so that grandma didn't have tocook and clean the whole time -- Of all the children, the nine-year old granddaughter was the greatest help -- she made pancakes and cupcakes, rinsed the dishes and put them in the dishwasher, and then put them away (without be asking). She then ran the sweeper. I was amazed. She has been trained well.
Lots of bike riding -- I was not expecting that. I was afraid someone would get run over. I found out that bikes are #1 and the cars come second. It took some getting used to -- but once I got the picture, I was okay. One person did die near Destin after being struck by a car. A lady did walk out in front of my car when the light was green at major intersection on (10A) without even looking (not a kid, but an adult). Fortunately, I was paying attention and stopped. She almost walked right into my car and the light was green and I was the second car through after it turned green. Thank goodness. She looked as though she did nothing wrong -- others on the sidewalk just looked at her and shook their heads.
