Our group had the most wonderful stay at Valerio’s villa. It had everything we needed for our week long stay. There were so many areas to chill and dine. The two upper apartments were a great surprise and perfect for couples who want their own space. The pool and surrounding countryside is spectacular! We hired a pizza chef for 2 nights on Valerios recommendation and he did not disappoint. Delicious pizza for days! We also hired another chef Sophie who cooked for our group another 2 nights. 4 course meals of our choosing. They were also divine. Don’t hesitate staying here, we were all sad to go and would go back in a heartbeat! Valerio is an amazing host and is a stones throw away if you need but gives you the privacy and makes you feel like it’s your home while you’re there, not his! Thanks again

My family of eleven stayed at Valerio's Villa for my 70th birthday and had a wonderful time. He was a great host and would highly recommend this place.My son enjoyed using the pizza oven and BBQ. The grandchildren loved all the open space to play, and we all enjoyed the pool.The Villa was close to many walled cities to visit.Everyone loved the meals and cooking class with Maria.The family dinners we had on the patio over looking the Tuscan countryside were unbelievable!!

Wonderful week in the Ville Le Genipraie

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary there with friends and would do it again. The villa is as described. The pool is high quality and everything is very tastefully decorated. The location and the view are marvellous. Hikes were possible directly from the villa. We also had Maria as our cook and Sandro as our pizza chef. Both were great and spoilt us with their dishes. As it was unfortunately already too cool for us to eat outside in the evenings and mornings, we sat in the living room of the ground floor flat. For our guests who had their rooms there, it was a bit noisy in the morning when Maria was preparing breakfast. It was also very cramped in terms of space. This would not have been the case if we had been able to sit outside in the warm weather.

Great week at the villa!

My family and I spent the last week at the villa and had a wonderful time despite some rainy weather. The villa is in a beautiful location, well maintained and extremely clean. We booked an onsite chef who prepared a fabulous dinner, we also booked the pizza chef who created the best pizza we had on the trip, he is a true artist! Valerio is an excellent host, very accessible and quickly responds to any questions or requests. We would not hesitate to stay here in the future. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to vacation in Tuscany.

Perfect place to wind down

We stayed at Valerio's villa with our family this July. Complete with our "kids" and their partners or friends. The place in the middle of the fields is absolutely magnificent, the view is breathtaking and the villa has everything you need to have a wonderful stay. The house was spic and span, every room has its bathroom (towels and soap are provided), the new infinity pool is top notch (with enough sunbeds and sun umbrellas) and fenced if you have young children, the kitchen has all necessary equipment. The location is extremely quiet, away from all hustle. Possibilities enough for walks or longer hikes. The villa has a large shaded deck on the front of the house (sunset side!), but also tables in other places so you always have somewhere to sit in the shade if you want. Your host Valerio goes through every possible way to accomodate your stay and make it a truly relaxing experience. Always available and happy to help in any way. The pool is cleaned every day, the garden is great and very well maintained. We asked if he could recommend somebody for the catering of meals and we highly recommend you ask him if Sandro is available for a pizza-evening. (Forgot to mention the villa actually has a traditional outside pizza-oven!) Sandro makes the most delicious pizza's with local ingredients. Not the average tomato and mozarella pizza's too. Let him surprise you. And keep a place for the dessert-pizza! If you like Tuscany, this is defenitely a place you may not miss!

Full family trip

We stayed here for 2 weeks with all of our children and 2 grand kids we had a blast property is just mesmerizing. We visited several cities which we were centrally located to. We made meals at the house that were just awesome and fun to do. Brick oven was a highlight. Valerio made us feel welcome and like family. Made many improvements over this last off season. The new pool and landscaping are beautiful. We look forward to returning. Thank you Valerio

Wunderschöner Urlaub in ruhiger Lage und Haus mit exzellenten Gastgebern

Wir sind mit befreundeten Paaren verreist, die ebenfalls Kinder haben. Das Haus ist perfekt eingeteilt mit 3 riesigen Appartments. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist groß und sehr schön, super ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Die Villa ist super in Schuss und die Räumlichkeiten sehr sauber. Das Pool wird jeden Abend vom Vermieter gereinigt und die Gartenanlage regelmäßig gemäht. Bei Fragen stehen die Vermieter jederzeit zur Verfügung, halten sich aber während des Aufenthalts sehr im Hintergrund, sodass wir uns nie gestört oder beobachtet gefühlt haben. Wir haben das Frühstück dazu genommen, was liebevoll von den Gastgebern hergerichtet war und auf einer der Terrassen serviert / als Buffet angerichtet war. Wir sind mehr als zufrieden gewesen und würden auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!

A beautiful villa

This is a lovely house in a beautiful setting. Our family, ranging in age from 6 to 73, had a blast cooking, swimming, hiking, exploring, and chilling on the veranda. Valerio and Paola are not only perfect hosts (and chefs), but affable, easy going and fun. Our two weeks here were unforgettable. Thank you for everything!

Tuscan Country Perfection!!

If you want the perfect Tuscan Country stay, stop searching and book this property. The spectacular villa, pool and grounds guarantee a wonderful stay but the amazing hosts, Valerio and Paola, are what makes it an unforgettable experience. They are genuinely kind and sincere people who treated us like family. Valerio was responsive to all of my questions and always had a solution. His massage was compared to the best our friend has had at top end spas around the world. We ate four dinners at the Villa and Paola's cooking was beyond compare. Simple, local, rustic dishes made with the freshest ingredients and served with a smile. Our son is a prospective Chef and Paola welcomed him into her kitchen and shared local knowledge and techniques without reservation. we made incredible Tuscan pizza in the wood fired oven. The property is so peaceful and serene and the sunsets are to die for. Relaxing by the pool or cooling off after a long day touring Tuscany were perfect compliments. I could go on and on. We have stayed at dozens of rental properties around the world. Villa Le Ginepraie stands out as the best we have ever visited. Salute Valerio and Paola - we most definitely hope to visit you again soon!

Great Place to Stay in Tuscany

We had a great week at the villa. First, the view is incredible. It feels so private and the view from the back porch of the hills is breathtaking. The location is very central between Volterra and San Gimignano. We also booked at the restaurant a few nights and Paula’s cooking was great! Overall a great stay that I would recommend to anyone.

Tolles Haus - in wunderbarer Landschaft!

Wir haben eine Woche in diesem wunderbaren Haus verbracht – zwei Familien, 4 Erwachsene und 4 Teenager – es war für uns die ideale Unterkunft. Weit weg vom Trubel inmitten der wunderschönen, bereits herbstlichen, Landschaft. Obwohl Mitte Oktober, wurden wir mit angenehmen Temperaturen verwöhnt. Wir konnten noch jeden Abend draussen essen. Den Pool haben die Kids tagsüber kurz genutzt, dafür war es aber doch schon etwas zu kühl. Die Ausstattung im Haus (in den 3 Wohnungen) ist prima, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Kontakt mit Paola und Valerio war sehr angenehm. Sie waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit und es hat alles bestens geklappt – wir kommen gerne wieder!

A wonderful place!

This villa was everything we expected. The location was is perfect. There are several different trails in the area, perfect for both hiking and running. The villa itself is clean, cosy and there is lots of space. We all loved the pool area so much! Paula and Valerio are excellent hosts in every way. They made us a lovely dinner and breakfast. Thank you so much!

A month in Tuscany

Absolutely wonderful in so many ways. Our stay at the Villa included both family and friends coming and going for the entire month. We wanted a gathering place in Tuscany and Le Ginepraie was everything we had hoped for and more. Valerio, Paola and Viola are the best! From amazing dinners by Paola, massage by Valerio, quiet talks with Viola, walking the trails, and visiting nearby towns memories were created here, so grateful for all that we saw and experienced during our stay there. Fantastic two week stay

We’ve had a truly marvellous holiday In the most amazing villa for a period of two weeks. Having rented a lot of holiday homes over the last couple of years, we can truly say this was by far the best experience we’ve had so far. Placed in the lush and quiet Tuscan hills, it offers tranquility and peace while the towns of San Gimignano and Volterra are only a brief drive away. Although the weather was hot with most days above 33-35 degrees, a slight and constant breeze made it more than tolerable to hang around the villa on the warmest moments. The pool is amazing, as well as the many unique amenities (like the Pizza oven) the villa has to offer. Valerio and Paola are gracious and non-intrusive hosts that live in a house further down the road. They were most helpful many ways, both making recommendations and cooking delicious meals for us upon request. Hygiene is superb and everything on the recently renovated villa has somehow been thought through. We will definitely return to this location again.

Amazing villa in heart of Tuscany

What an amazing experience staying at the villa. The hosts were so helpful and available whenever needed and yet you never saw them unless called upon (they stay in the cottage just down the road.). The villa has all the key needs for a house. Full kitchen, furniture that looks rustic yet feels like new. Perfect location between volterra and San gimignano . Would recommend highly

A slice of Tuscan Heaven

A lovely comfortable house with plenty of space for our family group of 10 across the 5 bedrooms. The outside table and relaxing loungers were perfect for socialising and sharing meals together and offered shade and amazing views . The pool area is also excellent with a beautiful salt water swimming pool, loungers and umbrellas offering welcome shade . Paola and Valerio were excellent hosts , always available but never intrusive. We would strongly recommend taking up the offer of meals by the hosts .They were really delicious , extremely convenient and we all enjoyed them very much.

This is a wonderful Villa!

We heartily recommend Villa Le Ginepraie for a Tuscan holiday after a wonderful two-week stay. The villa is very large and arranged to comfortably accommodate the three generations of our family, including four grandchildren ranging in age from 13 years to 20 months. Separate sections of the villa allowed for privacy when desired and also gatherings in common areas. The deck at the back of the villa provides a beautiful western view of the Tuscan countryside with several wonderful sunsets during our stay. The pool provided a refreshing break in the hot late afternoons. The hosts, Valerio, Paola, and Viola, are delightful and incredibly helpful. Valerio made numerous calls to help us recover two pieces of lost luggage and tipped us off about Certola Alto – a charming medieval hill town with a castle, accessed by an inclined railroad. Certola Alto was not in our guidebook, and it was a wonderful diversion from some of the more heavily touristed Tuscan towns and cities. The villa is located in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, but it provides easy day trip access by car to Volterra, San Gimignano , Siena, Florence, Pisa, and Lucca. We had Paola prepare several dinners and brunches for us, and they were all wonderful with fresh pasta, delicious sauces, and fantastic baked dishes. Paola also gave a lesson in pasta making to one of our group who loves to cook. Valerio taught us how to set a fire in the stone pizza oven, which resulted in two great pizza dinners. In a short review it is not possible to say enough good things about this villa and the hosts.
