A Perfect Getaway

Property is quiet and spacious and in excellent condition. About a mile from downtown Idyllwild but very private and away from the bustle of town.

Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood

This is a beautiful home set on the hillside amongst the trees. All amenities and conveniences are there to make your stay so enjoyable! The deck is perfect for relaxing with your coffee while feeding peanuts to the squirrels romping and chasing each other. It was perfect!! A truly beautiful home in a beautiful mountain community.

Beautiful woodsy home

One of the best vrbo we have stayed in. Clean, well appointed, quiet, and comfortable. This is the first time the departure rules and expectations were simple and sensible. If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely rent again.

Better than expected

What a wonderful place! The whole house was very clean and well maintained and felt like a real home rather than a vacation rental.Everything to cook meals was available and the WiFi was fast and reliable.Sitting on the deck was the real highlight. It was very quiet and peaceful and felt like sitting in a tree house. If you go in the summer definitely bring bug spray, because the mosquitoes were no joke.Location was perfect to go into town. Everything was less than a 10 minute drive away.

A wonderful getaway

We loved our time in this wonderful cabin. It was the cozy, comforting, quiet and exactly what we were hoping for! We also loved the convenience of hiking trails right close by, and our animals loved the place too! Our host was very responsive and welcoming. Will definitely look to stay again next time we come to Idyllwild.

Cozy winter wonderland

Cabin was perfect. We recieved snowfall all weekend. Really enjoyed the gas fireplace and building provided puzzles. Great food and hiking nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Exactly what you want when staying in idylwild

The house is spacious, comfortable and quiet. Everything was in good repair and worked as it should. Very clean. We couldn't recommend it more highly. We'll be back!

Idyllwild Getaway

My wife and I enjoyed our time at this lovely cabin. This cabin has become our “go to” when we’re in Idyllwild. I think this was our 4th visit and it never disappoints. The cabin is clean and cozy and beautifully decorated. It’s located in a a wonderful area with plenty of privacy yet close to town. Suzanne, the host, is the best!!!!

Exceeded Expectations

"Sunset Getaway" was a wonderful place to escape from the bustle of "High-Season" in the desert. We enjoyed the cold, fresh, pine-scented air and the solitude of being off the beaten path. The house is beautiful and extremely well-built. It was immaculately clean and very well-provisioned with all we needed for a 3-night stay. The owner/manager couldn't have been more welcoming and responsive.We look forward to returning for a much longer stay. We heartily recommend "Sunset Getaway" without hesitation.

Christmas vacation

Our first Christmas back in CA after moving to TX four years ago. We were only a few minutes away from my parents house and we had plenty of room for everyone for our Christmas candy bake day. House was clean and had everything needed for cooking and dining.

Everything about our stay was beyond wonderful. The cabin is located close to town and nice hiking trails. Everything in the cabin was exactly as was described in the VRBO listing. Communicating with the owner was effortless. We could not have had a nicer stay and look forward to our next visit with fingers crossed that this cabin will be available again. Love the Deck

Hideaway in Idyllwild

Four of us stayed at the Fern Valley cabin. The facilities were immaculate and well maintained. The squirrels, chipmunks and jays were entertaining on the deck. It was so quiet and peaceful, we quickly decompressed from our daily routine. Love this place!

Our favorite Idyllwild VRBO

This property is spectacular! We were blessed to have chosen ahead of time and didn't realize there would be lots of snow. The place had a great vibe and everything supplied that you needed! The best of all was Suzanne the Host She was very communicative and responded immediately! We really appreciate her having this space. We will be back for sure! We brought our Siberian Huskies they loved it just as much as we did;) Thank you so much! Definitely book it! You will not be disappointed! it inow our favorite place in Idyllwild

オーナー : Suzanne Weatherly

Hi--this is Phil and Suzanne Weatherly, and we fell in love with Idyllwild the first time we came up. It was in 2010 and we had just gotten engaged and I (this is Suzanne) must have made the mistake of mentioning it to the band at the local bar, so they announced it to the other patrons. We immediately felt like all the people around were our new best friends, and when we went back a few months later, people remembered us from that night (a far cry from city life!). So we've been coming up a few times a year every since as we couldn't imagine a better place for a second home. We are avid fans of vacation rentals as we've used them many times for ourselves and our families, so we're excited to be on this adventure of hosting guests and helping them enjoy fun and relaxing times away from home.
