Upon arrival at 4:00 pm, we were required to contact an agent to get the entry code. At that time, we were told that the owner would be by shortly with a complimentary case of water, a nice gesture indeed. We waited. Colin (the owner) showed up after 7:00 pm, unannounced. During that interval, we explored our new home. The home was clean and nicely appointed with fully stocked kitchen appliances, pots and pans and comfy furniture. The pool was beautiful, just as pictured in the listing. Our decision to book this property was based largely on the backyard and it’s amenities, such as the outdoor kitchen, loungers, furniture, and tropical cabana. Those were all a huge disappointment! The cabana is literally falling apart and a real safety hazard. The outdoor kitchen is non-operable, as disclosed by the owner when he dropped off the water. Upon closer inspection, it was not only non-operable but full of rat droppings and debris. Quite disgusting. There were no shade umbrellas, as pictured, and the lounger’s rattan was rotted and unsafe. All of the outdoor furniture was dirty and clearly had not been tended to for some time.THERE IS MUCH MORE TO THIS COMPLAINT I NEED TO SUBMIT. HOW DO I DO THAT? I look forward to your timely response. I’ve attached photos of the current state of the property. These should be compared to the photos in the listing to highlight the massive discrepancies. Suffice it to say that the property listing was inaccurate and extremely misleading.
