Lovely property

We had a lovely time, shame about the weather but that’s one thing you cannot control. The property was exactly as described and Frederick and his family were wonderful hosts, even moving the horses so our dog could run free. The property is perfect for dog owners with lots of outdoor space and wonderful walks nearby.

Peace and Quiet

Spacious property for the two of us and our dog . Generous grounds and excellent pool . The air con was a real bonus in the very hot weather and Frederique made us very welcome Hopefully we will return !

Raymonde and Frederic welcomed us on our arrival and showed us around the beautiful rustic house and grounds. The house is in a very peaceful area but only a 15 minutes drive to the restaurants and shops of Perigueux. The house is very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. There are two shower rooms, two toilets and 3 comfortable bedrooms. The enclosed pool is a welcome addition in the hot weather. Raymonde’s beautiful horses are kept in a field close by and are tame and friendly. There are many beautiful villages within a hours drive that are well worth a visit. We would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday in the Dordogne.

Fantastic!

Spent two weeks here with my family, wonderful setting, very very peaceful. The house is very well appointed, clean and all the facilities you would need. Amazing swimming pool which was used a lot as it was very hot during our stay. Less than an hour from most sightseeing and only 20 minutes from major grocery stores. Would definately return!

A fabulous tranquil getaway

The gite had everything we needed for a tranquil stay in this lovely region of Dordogne. The kitchen was well equipped with little extras which meant we didn’t have to buy them at the supermarket. The owners, Jacky and his wife Raymonde, were absolutely lovely, discreet and non intrusive but very friendly and welcoming. Jacky loves his horses and as horse lovers ourselves we enjoyed time with him and them. The gite was away from it all and was incredibly peaceful, but was only 20 minutes from the supermarket at Tresillac and well located to access all of the local places to visit. We definitely plan to return.

French Countryside at its best….

Beautifully restored stone farm building with all facilities for travellers. Away from the busy main towns with easy drives to the historic villages of the Dordogne. Enjoyed the views from the outside eating area. Great swimming pool. Clear prior information about the contract, the bond and cleaning would be helpful. Would revisit if in the Perigord region.

A wonderful holiday destination!

Have just returned from this delightful and well equipped gîte in a beautiful rural part of the French Dordogne region. Frederic and family are very welcoming and the property, finished to a high standard ensures a very relaxing holiday. Historical Perigueux is only a short drive away, and the Dordogne chateau's, castles and villages are easily accessible. A week was too short to enjoy the sheer delight of the sunsets, wildlife and quietness that this property provides.....we'll just have to return! Thank you for a wonderful family holiday.

Rural tranquility

We had a really relaxing stay. The property is in a really lovely rural location, set in a big plot, with a great pool, really quiet, and beautiful countryside views all around. The property itself was well equipped, well furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. Fred was a great host, he met us at check-in. and was very welcoming, and then on our last day. Other than that he left us to our own devises. Enjoyed it a lot!

Perfect!

We had a wonderful two weeks in this beautiful and clean house. Lovely people who own it, couple meynard. Very helpful and kind. The house is very well equiped, clean and lots of space. We stayed here with our three young kids and had a great time. The swimming pool is perfect, and safe because of the fense. Great holiday and we can recommand this place to everyone! Amazingly beautiful place, lovely secluded and tranquil location, charming and spacious house, fantastic swimming pool with a great view, kids loved it! House was clean but with quite a lot of dog hair round the corners. Dogs also come to visit and made themselves at home at times. Some confusion prior to arrival as host asked us to sign a long contract in French which stated we had to bring a 500 cash deposit. After researching Vrbo's regulations we argued that a cash deposit is indeed not needed, which ended up being fine, after which we were happy to sign the contract.

Fabulous Tranquil Holiday & A Wonderful Family

LA Farge Villa, is fabulous in all ways for us being on holiday there for 2 weeks. The location was lovely in the countryside but, near to all shops, supermarkets & some lovely small 🇫🇷 French villages to pass through or stop off to enjoy the French culture, scenery & the people we met 😍. The “Maynard Family “ are so friendly & lovely and they went out there way on several occasions to help us with places to visit.. Sarlat & Pergueuix & Bergerac & Les Eylies. Which were all beautiful and the weather when we were there was hot & sunny 😎 too. They also helped us with their local Vet before we returned to Scotland with our dogs 🐕 so everything was 👍👍great. We already miss our lazy days chilling by their wonderful pool & the amazing 🌆 sunsets we enjoyed whilst on the terrace with several glasses off lovely French Wines & Champagnes 🍸🍷 We are now back in Scotland with some rain ☔️ 😂now & we already miss this peaceful WEE gem of a place/villa but, we will be back again some time soon to enjoy it all over again !! 😎❤️😍 Lots of love & thank you to, All The Maynard Family, Udo & Nya 🐕🐶 See you soon, we hope Gregor & Lesley McLeod & Zak & Chester 🐕🐶 XXXX

Wunderschöner Sommerurlaub

Unser 17 tätiger Aufenthalt war super schön. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben direkt alles gezeigt bekommen. Es gab sogar landestypische Spezialitäten als Willkommensgruß. Das Haus ist richtig schön eingerichtet. Ein Schlafzimmer sowie ein Bad und separate Toilette im Erdgeschoss und zwei Schlafzimmer (eines davon mit getrennten Betten) sowie ein Bad und getrennte Toilette im Obergeschoss. Alles war sauber und die Betten richtig bequem. Genügend Handtücher waren auch vorhanden. In der Küche gab es sowohl eine Filterkaffeemaschine als auch eine Nespresso Kapselmaschine. Wasserkocher, Toaster, Mikrowelle, Backofen, Spülmaschine und ein Weinkühlschrank gehören zur Ausstattung dazu.Die beiden Klimageräte wurden nicht benötigt. Das Haus ist super isoliert und es war immer angenehm kühl. Der Außenbereich war fantastisch. Es gab mehrere Sitzbereiche (zwei Esstische, Couchgarnitur unterm Dach, Liegestühle am Pool und neben dem Haus), sodass jeder seinen Lieblingsplatz gefunden hat. Der vorhandene Gasgrill wurde von uns gerne und oft benutzt. Unsere Kinder und wir haben jeden Abend die Tischtennisplatte genutzt und sind viel in der Umgebung spazieren gegangen. Frédéric und seine Eltern sind sehr freundlich und helfen immer gerne weiter. Sind aber auch sehr darauf bedacht, nicht zu stören. Ihre beiden Hunde haben sich super mit unserem Hund verstanden und kamen gerne zum Spielen vorbei. Es war ein wunderschöner und erholsamer Urlaub. Wir werden bestimmt nochmal kommen.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette jolie maison de caractère, très bien équipée, avec des propriétaires charmants. L'emplacement est très calme, nous avons pu observer quelques chevreuils et surtout profiter de la présence des chevaux au bout du jardin. La piscine très proche de la maison est un vrai plus.

Fantastische vakantie

Het is een heerlijk ruim huis waar alles aanwezig is wat je nodig hebt. Alleen de airco op de eerste verdieping krijgt de slaapkamers niet goed gekoeld, maar dat is de meeste dagen ook niet nodig. De terrassen om het huis heen geven op alle momenten van de dag schaduw, en als het toch te warm is geworden, dan is het zwembad heerlijk ruim en chloorvrij. Verder zorgen de vier fietsen die gebruikt mogen worden, de tafeltennistafel en de aanwezige paarden ervoor dat niemand zich hoeft te vervelen. De kleine minpunten zijn de steekvliegen die vanwege de paarden rondvliegen en bijten en de honden van de eigenaar die heel lief zijn, maar soms op het gras poepen. Kleine herinneringen aan het feit dat je nog op aarde bent, en niet in de hemel.

Séjour dans une très belle campagne

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Frédéric et Raymonde. La propriété sur laquelle le gîte est implanté est magnifique. Entourée de grandes étendues vertes occupées par des chevaux, nous avons pu profiter de belles promenades.Nous avons même eu la chance de voir passer des chevreuils au pied de la terrasse. La maison était très propre et très bien équipée. Nous recommandons ce gîte à tous les amoureux de la nature.

Au calme dans le Périgord

Une belle maison avec 3 vraies chambres, deux salles de bains et un bel espace de vie. Une vue dégagée sur la campagne et le calme qui domine. Enfin, une piscine de taille correcte et sécurisée pour le bonheur des petits et des grands.
