This charming and tastefully decorated cottage is the perfect hideaway for couples (with a maximum of one child) looking for peace, romance and comfort. It is situated in the heart of the small, flower-filled village of Fanlac, within walking distance of an excellent restaurant. For most of the year, the swimming pool is entirely private. Pets are welcome outside the high season or on request.
Inside
The interior is warm, romantic and beautifully designed, ideal for two guests. Upon arrival, you enter a traditional French courtyard where the inviting pool immediately catches your eye. The cosy terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun.
Inside, you will find a charming bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. A connecting door leads to the open kitchen and living room, a comfortable and intimate space to relax, read or enjoy a home-cooked meal. Every detail reflects the character of the region and the owners’ love for this area.
During high season, the owners may occasionally be present and make use of the pool. Outside these moments, you will enjoy complete privacy.
Outside
The cottage offers a small, fully enclosed garden with a lovely private pool. Parking is available on the property. An excellent restaurant is located just 100 metres away, perfect for an easy and enjoyable evening out.
Surroundings
Fanlac is a picturesque “Village Fleuri”, close to Montignac and the famous Lascaux caves. Saint Léon-sur-Vézère is also nearby, as well as the medieval town of Sarlat, only 15 kilometres away. The region is perfect for exploring local culture, gastronomy and the beautiful Dordogne landscape.

Séjour paisible, calme et excellent

On a passé 1 semaine en couplé dans cette superbe réservation, on a pu déconnecter et bien se reposer car la propriété est vraiment bien aménagée, la piscine est parfaite pour ce type de séjour. Les équipements fonctionnent très bien. Il aurait juste fallu un petit accès à la machine à laver mais cela n'a pas été très gênant pour 1 semaine.

Disappointing

The property was small, dark and was not of acceptable standard for the price paid. Very difficult to find light switch in kitchen/ lounge as very dark. Remained dark when light on. Very low light over table which did not cast much light. 2 dim light bulbs in kitchen area one of which did not work. TV did not work. We were able to turn it on but no channels available. Tried to tune in 4 times but unable. No instructions in property. Unable to sit on sofa and read as so dark in the sitting area. Toilet was broken ie. Would not flush. We had to take off the cistern top and manually lift the ball cock to flush. The bedding and pillows on the bed were not of an acceptable standard. Only duvet cover and mismatch pillowcases on bed. Pillows old and lumpy. Bottom sheet made of nylon and had been washed so many times it was like lying on coarse sandpaper. It was 35 degrees and being expected to lie on an old nylon sheet is not acceptable! No window screens so we couldn’t have any windows opened. Many Asian mosquitos in vacinity of property. We stayed one more night tried to tune TV with no success. Had a bad night due to uncomfortable bed and bed linen etc. I contacted the owner by text and reported the issues. She said that she noted my comments about the bed linen and that she had arranged a plumber to visit at 2pm that afternoon.We did not want to waste a day of our holiday waiting for a plumber so we advised that we had vacated the property. No offer of refund from owner!

Séjour top

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Fanlac petite village avec beaucoup de charme (Village de Jacquou le croquant). Gîte très confortable, joliment décoré nous avons pu profiter de la piscine et du jardin fleuri. Merci à Alexandra propriétaire des lieux pour toute son attention. Emilia, Fabrice et Rose

Très bon sejour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Le logement était confortable, conforme au descriptif et aux photos. Piscine très agréable et nous avons surtout apprécié l'accueil de nos hôtes

Urlaub in stilvoll eingerichtetem Steinhaus in zentraler Lage des Périgord

Der Standort ist herrlich und eine sehr gute Ausgangsbasis für Unternehmungen entlang der Vézère. Das Haus ist umfassend und mit großem Geschmack ausgestattet; der Pool lädt immer zu einer Erfrischung ein. Lediglich die Matratzen müssten für Menschen mit Rückenbeschwerden fester sein, und am besten ist man zu zweit, da sonst die dritte Schlafmöglichkeit im Küchen-/Wohnraum in Anspruch genommen werden muss.
