Lovely villa with beautiful gardens and pool

This is a beautiful traditional villa with some great outdoor seating areas especially those in the front made shady by an enormous vine canopy. The front garden was a lovely place to relax as well as for the kids to run around. The house was spacious and easily accommodated all 9 of us. The pool is a good size with a seating area which looks past the house and has views of the sea. It was a nice spot to lounge whilst watching the children jump around in the water. This is a traditional house so don't expect mod cons such as air conditioning and note that the five bedrooms are arranged in two separate parts of the house with separate staircases (2 in one section and 3 in the other). Antonio and family were extremely hospitable and Antonio responded promptly to any questions we had as well as being very helpful with recommendations for sightseeing spots and restaurants.

large relaxing place within ocean reach perfect for large families

rural object with large garden, mix of modern technique equipment and historical feeling. We enjoyed especially the breakfasts on the sunny terrace, the pool in the backyard and the time off with some excursions to Braga or Guimaraes. The reception was outstanding with great explanations and even fresh cake as a welcome. Thanks for having us...

Une belle propriété portugaise typique et charmante

Cette grande maison au confort simple mais authentique permet à chacun de profiter de son séjour selon ses envies. Les propriétaires sont très avenants, pleins d’attentions et fournissent de bonnes adresses. De nombreuses visites touristiques peuvent être réalisées dans les alentours

Belle maison en pierre dans un grand jardin

A quelques minutes à vélo des plages se niche cette belle maison en pierre aux fenêtres rouges dans un très grand jardin clos savamment fleuri planté d'arbres fruitiers , de vigne et de citronniers. La grande piscine à l'abri du vent, la terrasse sous les arbes , la salle de billard et bien d'autres merveilles invitent à la paresse et à la détente. Très grande cuisine à l'ancienne , cinq belles chambres et un vaste salon sont au rendez-vous pour un séjour placé sous le signe du plus grand confort. Une mention particulière pour les hôtes dont l'extrême gentillesse et le grand professionalisme donnent l'impression d'être reçu chez des amis. Les chiens sont bienvenus .

Heavenly garden, lovely location

We had a fab week here. The villa is ideally located for visits to great sites - Guimaraes, Braga, Caminha, Punto da Lima - and lots of fine empty beaches. Antonio (owner) and his mum (who also made us two amazing cakes) couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Likewise the beautiful cat (Mia) and the dogs! The house and pool was spotlessly clean and the large garden really special. We highly recommend this property (although it does need a new toaster).

Belle maison, beau jardin

Une grande et belle maison, un salon confortable avec de beaux meubles, une large terrasse très agréable à l'avant où la vigne protège du soleil, face à un beau jardin ancien bien entretenu. On peut prendre ses repas nombreux, dehors comme dedans. Le terrain à l'arrière est assez vaste avec un chemin en pierre qui en fait le tour et donne au fond sur une grande piscine en hauteur. La plage de la piscine fait un bon solarium à l'abri du vent, vue sur l'Atlantique au loin. La maison est dans le village, on entend les bruits autour mais c'est la vie de l'endroit. Antonio et sa maman étaient à nos petits soins, merci à eux.

A beautiful, traditional Portuguese farm house with large gardens and lovely pool

We had a very enjoyable holiday here. The house and garden are very spacious and there are loads of places to sit to enjoy the peace and quiet. We found Marinhas a good location for exploring Northern Portugal with easy access everywhere. Antonio was very accommodating and looked after us whilst we were there. His mother even baked us a cake! The photos don't really do the place justice. Highly recommended.

A wine estate experience

5 car minutes from the beach and 40 car minutes from Porto with many lovely small villages in the neighbourhood lies this comfortable little estate that was developed as an amature wine vineyard. The vineyards are mostly gone, but what is left is a very charming classical house with a lot of space. A charming front garden that is fully shaded by natural plants, and an big back garden with a lovely swimming pool. The house has sea views. The house is very comfortable and has sufficient space for 10. All rooms were equiped with small anti mosquito electrical diffusers that helped against being bitten. Antoni and his mother were very hospitable. One needs a car for this house.

SEJOUR MAGNIFIQUE

Nous avons séjourné une dizaine de jours dans cette grande et belle propriété plein de charme, dans un environnement calme et reposant. Des arbres fruitiers, des vignes, des légumes, à notre disposition dans le grand jardin. Les propriétaires sont des gens charmants, aux petits soins avec nous. Vraiment de belles vacances!

Classic farmhouse with wonderful views

Classic farmhouse with views of the ocean in front and the wooded foothills behind. A beautiful and quiet beach is nearby. Not for the Ikea crowd.
