Lovely apartment, clean and safe!

This apartment was very well maintained, clean and my family felt very safe staying here. I would recommend this property. One thing to note, it is not really within walking distance to most of the major sights (we used taxis to get around). However, I would not recommend booking this through VRBO. It's almost like the company is half using VRBO. I could not pay my final bill on VRBO and, also, it was not accurate - they charged me additional money for "tourism tax" at the end. It was difficult to access info and contact the company through VRBO as well. Also very inconvenient was that they expected me to come pick up the keys to check-in. I've never had to do that with a property before - no one wants to have to deal with that when they are exhausted after traveling and carrying all their luggage. I would highly recommend that they start meeting clients at the properties with keys. But the apartment itself was lovely and I would recommend it.

Perfect apartment for our family trip to Barcelona!

This place is as lovely and welcoming as it looks in the pictures. The living room and kitchen space are fantastic gathering areas to dine and hang out, as you plan your days ahead. Very closely located to the main train station, with 2 subway lines even closer. Quiet building served by only one tiny and slow elevator. If you opt to walk, it's 5 flights of stairs so take that into consideration when booking. As a family of four- me, my husband and our two boys (18 and 21 yo) the space was perfect. The boys went out at night and didn't wake us when they came back in the wee hours. It's a 3 bedroom/2 bath that could comfortably sleep 6. But you should note that the shower stalls are VERY small- typical in EU but tough for larger people to navigate. The beds were very comfy and the property was very clean. The kitchen had all you need for cooking/serving meals but no basics- salt, pepper, coffee, etc- were provided. Also, no ice trays. Again, that is common in the EU but Americans tend to like their ice. Washer was located on the terrace off the bath. It was small and we did not use it. The apartment looks out on to an old prison... it's no longer active and (I think) is now a museum. The one complaint- and you see it in nearly every review- is the key pick up. Though it was -in theory- easy to do, it was well out of the way and added extra cost in a cab (no Ubers in Spain) and extra time away from our vacation. We arrived via train, which was less than 2 blocks from the apartment. But it was a 15 min cab in heavy traffic to get to the place to get the key. All instructions for key pick up were easy and accurate, but it would be much easier if the key was made available AT the property. Property management was great with communications and correspondence, though we never met anyone in person. We would definitely stay here again, should our travels bring us back to BCN.

Nice place but be aware

Overall this place is nice. Be aware of a few things before you stay. (1) understand the square footage, the pictures are as compared to the actual size (2) the only thing this place is really close to is the main train station Sants, a metro stop - a plus, and it overlooks a prison that is now a museum which is actually pretty cool. (3) VRBO does not handle the whole check in process which is a pain. You're required to travel to another part of Barcleona to get the key and the online checkin via the property manager was last minute and errored out a few times. (4) the third floor is actually the 5th which is typical in Spain. All that said, our family of 7 (including in-laws) had a nice time in this clean and overall nice place.

Great Apartment

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a large apartment and had plenty of room for the four us, and was well appointed with many modern updates. It is located close to the main train station which was very convenient. We would definitely stay there again.

Great views nice decor off the beaten path, and the two bathrooms with laundry was great.Clean stocked with all basic kitchen needs no Street noise secure and easy access to anywhere .I understand why it remains booked.Plan ahead for this one.

Barcelona spring break

This was a most wonderful experience. Our apartment was incredible; large, modern, clean, bright, and well appointed. We were 1 block from the Entenca metro stop and were able to easily get anywhere in the city. The local neighborhood had a supermarket, cafes, and restaurants, including a great local tapas place. The people at EnjoyBCN were great to work with. I will absolutely be returning soon. Thanks

Centrally located and clean

Overall, we had a very positive experience staying here. The apartment is a 1 minute walk from the Entenca metro stop and there are grocery stores within a 5 minute walk. Picking up the key is inconvenient, but when you check out you can just leave the keys in the apartment, so at least you don't have to go somewhere else to drop them off. The apartment was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There is plenty of hot water! We had 7 people staying here and never had a problem running out of hot water. One family next door has a baby and a toddler and on 2 out of our 7 nights we could hear the children crying very late at night, but it wasn't terribly bothersome. The apartment is 99 steps up if you want the exercise, or there is a small elevator that will hold 4 people. There is a prison next door that closed in 2017, so the street is relatively quiet since it's not very busy. The prison opens its doors for self-guided tours on Saturday afternoons and all day on Sundays. We took advantage of that and learned a lot! We would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment in a handy location

This was the last apartment we stayed in whilst in Europe and it was definitely one of the best. It is only a short walk from the Barcelona Sants train station, which was handy when we arrived as it was amidst a taxi strike! Luckily we arrived on a Sunday so my husband got an Uber to pick up the key, which is a slight inconvenience actually. If we had arrived on the Monday there is no way we would have been able to get the key at the other location as there were absolutely no taxis users or cars available anywhere! There is a lift in the building so very handy with luggage. The apartment was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. We really felt at home after 7 weeks of travelling, comfy beds, sofas and everything we needed in the kitchen. It has heating which was very efficient. And the washer dryer was really handy. There were four of us, two adults and two teenagers, any more than that could be a little cramped. Plenty of storage for clothes etc. Plenty of TV stations to choose from when you are at home relaxing. The neighbours were very noisy unfortunately and had a small child which kept my daughter up during the night. There was quite a few supermarkets nearby which is a must, as we did not find many restaurants to eat in that were any good nearby. The train station is handy for getting to the sights. We bought a T10 ticket which is a multi person ticket with 10 trips on it, and caught the R1 or R4 to either Santa Catalunya or Arc de Triumph station to see the sights and it was only 5 minutes on the train. A little tricky to work out to start with as we were getting different information from different people at the station, but we managed in the end. I would definitely recommend this apartment to stay in.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay in a quiet location close to the city center.

Safe, secure, quiet neighborhood and apartment. Elevator is small by US standards. Definitely needed if staying on the third floor (101 steps otherwise) Apartment was clean, neat, and nicely appointed. Limited English language television channels/selections. Close to mass transit and taxis.

Ottimo appartamento per 7 persone, rinnovato completamente si trova vicino a due diverse linee della metropolitana che ci hanno permesso di visitare comodamente tutta la città. Vicini anche due piccoli supermercati in cui abbiamo trovato quello che ci serviva. Noi siamo arrivati alle nove di sera e andare a prendere le chiavi non mi era sembrato molto cortese, fortunatamente il servizio di taxi Cardelux che ci avete contattato è stato la soluzione migliore perchè siamo riusciti a ritirare le chiavi in cinque minuti e a raggiungere l'appartamento tutti insieme comodamente.Da consigliare sicuramente.Grazie di tutto, è stata una splendida vacanza.

Excellent apartment!

Check-in was super easy and convenient. The apartment is in a quiet location and super close to subway lines. It was very well stocked with everything you needed and we were most impressed with how CLEAN the apartment was!! The beds were very comfortable as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and Convenient

The apartment was clean and well represented in the photographs/description listed on the HomeAway site. Wish there had been wash cloths and a dryer. There is a towel for each person (7) and a washer but if hung out to dry, towels ended up very stiff. Warning: I completely misunderstood that the key had to be picked up a couple of miles away from the actual apartment. Not sure why a lock box couldn’t be installed in the same building? Shopping and transportation was nearby, very convenient. There was a new baby in the apartment across from this one, which kept some of our family members up overnight. I believe we are still waiting on our deposit refund, 2 weeks have gone by. We would stay in this apartment again if ever in Barcelona in the future.

Perfect apartment!

Wonderful apartment, clean, quiet location and tastefully decorated. Property managers are helpful and responsive and even called us prior to the trip and offered to decorate the apartment in balloons for our daughters 18th birthday! Just wonderful!

This place was amazing. Walking distance to food and bars. Easy to get a taxi. Beautiful, comfortable place to stay. Felt safe. Roomy for 7 people. Great Location. View of a prison across the street but it’s inactive. Would definitely stay here again. The staff was just a phone call away and very pleasant. Willing to help with any accommodations. Bel appartement très bien localisé!

L'appartement a rencontré nos attentes selon ce qui était mentionné sur le site. Les indications de prise de la clef sont claires et précises. Il y a deux stations de métro à moins de 5 minutes à pied de l'appartement et la visite de la ville et de ses environs se fait fort bien par les transports en communs. L'appartement est clair et comme il est situé au 4me étage (avec ascenseur) nous avions une belle vue sur la ville. Nous l'avons trouvé bien rangé et très propre. L'immeuble est bien calme de jour comme de nuit. Pour les écolos, il y a des bulles pour le recyclage toutes proches de l'immeuble! Il y a de nombreux magasins à proximité pour faire les achats pour la préparation des repas mais il y a également beaucoup de petits restaurants et bars à tapas à proximité si le coeur vous en dit!. Un très bon choix d'appartement pour une visite d'une semaine et plus à Barcelone et dans ses environs tels la Colonia Guell et Monserrat.
