Massimo met us at the McDonalds in Lucca just off the highway, and then escorted us to the farm hoiuse which is quite remote. It is the second to last house on a private road and getting there is only for an experienced driver as it becomes very narrow and suitable only for a medium sized SUV or smaller.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa which had superb views over Luca. Massimo, the owner, was lovely and spoke very good English explaining the places we should visit. He was very tolerant of us as we left things behind but rang us to let us know before we had gone too far! Thank you

Beautiful Tuscan Villa

This is a beautiful Tuscan villa situated on the top of a secluded hill. The view was amazing and the house was very cozy. Massimo was so nice throughout our stay and told us of the many nearby attractions. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return again

Perfect Location for a visit in the Toscana

From this location you can visit Lucca and the historic gardens. The house has a wonderful view and a wonderful atmosphere. It is in a very quiet area where you can relax. The owner was always approachable and helpful. We would book this house again at any time.

Private/Relaxing Retreat

This was exactly as described, Massimo was very engaging and informative, he told the history around the house and surroundings, the place is quaint and cozy, (especially the little wood stove), it was exhilarating to come home to after visiting busy, noisy Florence and Venice, climbing the windy little road was an experience in itself, if you love peace and quiet this is the place. We loved staying here for a month. ❤️

Our landlord Massimo picked us up at the meeting point in Lucca and drove ahead to the house. He is very friendly and the house is beautifully situated. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the quiet. Just great.

Wonderfull stay at this charming house in the hills

Everything was as expected or more. Only thing i need to address is that the road up to the house VERY narrow and requires consentration while driving. The view over lucca is spectacular and we spend every night watching the lights come on. Remember to turn on the outdoor light an watch the geckoes catch flies.

As fantastic as expected

The house was exactly as advertised, beautifully decorated, clean and with a spectacular view. While the weather was not as good as hoped the location made more than up for it and we loved our little 'home' far from home. Massimo was an exceptional host, very attentive and helpful. Old World Charm

This little farmhouse is 100 years old and still had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, nice showers and plenty of hot water. It gave us a taste of a life lived long ago. Views were beautiful and the town of Lucca was 20 minutes away by car. Shopping there is great. The farmhouse is remote, quiet, and in the middle of olive trees. Wi-Fi was good, and the parking was a nice amenity. Massimo provided us with a lot of local information which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Tuscany stay

My daughter and I spent a lovely week there. We loved it. If you want a week away from it all you couldn't do better. Most mornings were in the garden just reading in the sun. The small farmhouse is very peaceful with great views. The house is comfortable and everything worked (incl Wifi). It could do with a bit better seating area inside for the evenings, it's ok and you are normally outside. A small point. Lucca is close by and fascinating, worth taking a guided tour. Good (very organised) beaches 30 min away at Viareggio.

Beautiful Lucca

This stone home full of charm and history was the perfect place to spend 3 weeks. On our visits to Italy, we prefer staying in a place where we can experience a homelike atmosphere and we were not disappointed. Coffee in the mornings and returning in the evenings to enjoy a most beautiful view from the patio was so relaxing. The home is described as a Charming Rustic Villa with a Fantastic View - this is not an exaggeration in the least. Only a few minutes from Lucca, the house is located on top of a hill surrounded by hundreds of olive trees overlooking the lights of the city. Massimo made sure we had everything we wanted or needed as he is a truly gracious person.

Fairy tale house

Massimo's house is absolutely charming and comfortable. We felt like we were living in a fairy tale house. The view is beyond spectacular. We ate and shopped at some of the places he recommended and enjoyed them all. The drive up can be a little frightening at first but if I can handle it, anyone can. The view makes it all worth it! We also enjoyed the cats who visited us outside a few times (I named one Figaro). Massimo is very friendly and helpful. We hope to come back in a couple of years to explore Tuscany even more!

Wonderful Tuscan farmhouse

This was our 3rd stay in Massimo's properties ( both previous time in Casa Ministro). We had a lovely week. Casa Tonino is typical old Tuscan farmhouse. It has been sensitively renovated, tastefully, thoughtfully decorated and outfitted with modern conveniences while retaining original features and authentic character. The house set on a mountainside with spectacular views. The host Massimo is very helpful, careful and charming person. Thank Massimo for the welcome pack and the gift to the youngest member of our family. If was it possible, we would give more than 5 stars. Grazie mille.

Tonino’s house!

This lovely Tuscan farmhouse is a wonderful view ( yes the view from the hilltop is to die for)of a storybook lifestyle. Massimo is a wonderful host, always available for help, and has the house spotless and ready for visitors. He’s upgraded with 20th century amenities while keeping it in the style of the old stone farmhouses. Plenty of hot water, good Internet, BBQ & microwave and a wood fire stove for extra warmth. Surrounded by olive groves, you are nestled in the hills amongst the other stone houses & villas of the Tuscan countryside. Lucca about 20 minutes away! Pisa is about a 1/2 hour by train, bus or car! I’d definitely stay again. For me, once in a life time trip due to special friendships. Thanks MT. Ciao!

Such a gem.

We saw this property on line and were very so surprised to find it is just as wonderful as it showed on VRBO. Massimo was a delight and met us at McDonalds and escorted us to the house. The GPS stops part the way up and you would never find it. The property was very clean and he left us a loaf of fresh local bread and a bottle of wine. Massimo will also give you the shortest routes to attractions and places to park (important) The only part that was a bit surprising to me was we had to pay for gas for the hot water, range and heat as well as any wood we used for the fireplace. For five days it ran €25 for 4 people so be prepared for that or more to come out of your €200 deposit. Other than that it was a fantastic stay

Wir haben eine wundervolle Woche in der Toskana verbracht und sind absolut begeistert. Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer Massimo war von Anfang an sehr herzlich, unkompliziert und zuverlässig, er ist ein wirklich netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber.Das Haus selbst ist ein echtes Highlight ,liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Die Lage ist traumhaft: ruhig, mit wunderschönem Ausblick, und ideal als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung.Die Umgebung ist einfach ein Wahnsinn, typisch toskanisch, mit sanften Hügeln, Olivenbäumen und Weingütern in alle Richtungen. Wir haben jede Minute genossen und können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen.Grazie mille, Massimo, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Haus auf einem Berg mit Blick auf Lucca und die umliegenden Berge - einfach toll. Die Straße dorthin ist ein bischen Abenteuer, teilweise eng und steil, aber man gewöhnt sich schnell daran. Der Vermieter super nett, bemüht und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist zum Verlieben - alles stilecht Toscana. Insgesamt eine Empfehlung !

Ein sehr schönes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Er gibt super Tipps für Ausflüge, z. Bsp. Parkmöglichkeit usw. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten unsere Ferien vollkommen genießen.
