Beautiful apartment, fantastic location

Apartment is perfect! Well stocked, beautifully appointed. Location cannot be better. Walk to Royal Palace, Opera, restaurants, market. Host, Manuel, was totally accomadating! Would absolutely stay again on return visits to Madrid.

Great Stay! Highly Recommend!

This is a great property for 2, located in the heart of Old Madrid, close to the Opera, Royal Palace, Mercado de San Miguel, La Gran Via, Callao Street, Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Property is very comfortable, super clean, everything looks brand new, and the host is amazing. You can rely on him for whatever you may need or concerns you may have.

Week long stay at Ilaia Madrid Palacio

This apartment is great when visiting Madrid. Major sites are within walking distance. Plaza Mayor and Mercado San Miguel are a 10 minute walk away. Close to Calle de Preciados and Gran Vía but offered a quiet escape from the city. Manuel is welcoming and provides a great overview of the apartment and surrounding area. Will definitely stay here again.

Modern style condo

Manuel's condo was a very spacious one bedroom con do with all conviences. Excellent & quiet location in the center of Madrid. He was very helpful and we use whatsapp to communicate which helps with translation between english and spanish. We highly recommend this place.

Wonderful apartment in heart of Madrid

We have stayed in many HomeAway apartments but this is my favorite. It is centrally located and perfect for exploring Madrid. It is fully equipped with all amenities and very modern and hip. Marisa is wonderful and very helpful all questions we had were answered promptly. The welcome basket provided was amazing. We hope to return someday. You will not be disappointed, six stars!

Perfect addition to our Vacation!

Absolutely perfect location (Metro & Trains) and the apartment was gorgeous!!! Better than the photos (which are good)...apartment is spacious, very clean, modern but comfortable, well equipped (all that you would need and more). Marisa and José are the perfect hosts, so friendly and welcoming, they even texted a couple of times to see if we needed anything. So if you’re vacationing in Madrid stay here...you will not be disappointed! Our stay was 8 nights. Thank again Marisa & Manuel!

Beautiful Apaetment in Old Town Madrid

This apartment was perfection. It is centrally located in Madrid and we were able to walk every where. Marisa and Manuel thought of everything when designing and decorating this apartment. I have stayed in many Home Away apartments and homes and have never seen a kitchen so well stocked. Marisa and Manuel kindly met us at check in and also left us a beautiful basket of coffee, snacks and wine. Even though the apartment is located over a local cafe it was very quiet and the bed so very, very comfortable. We look forward to visiting again.

Amazing stay

Where do I begin. My stay at José Manuel's apartment surpassed my expectations in every possible way. The hosts took plenty of their own time to make sure I was comfortable and that I understood how everything operates in the apartment. The apartment itself is very cozy, comfortable, and has a 5 star hotel suite feel to it. Everything you might possibly need to feel at home is provided to you for your stay. Very central location within walking distance to most of Madrid's main attractions and restaurants. I will definitely be staying there again on my next visit to Madrid. Thank you for a great and memorable stay.

Beautiful apartment/fabulous location. . . but the real gem is your hosts. They were in touch appropriately up until arrival and in preparing the apartment have gone to great lengths to anticipate their guests every need. The art work is fabulous/architectural detail interesting, It really was all that. . . (and as we say in the states) AND a bag of chips! Enjoy.

My wife and I do a bit of traveling and have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world, and I have to say that this apartment toped it all. It was beautifully appointed, latest technology in audio, video, heating & air-conditioning, privacy screens, etc. All the materials in the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen are of top quality. The owners have thought of it all. The location is nothing short of perfect. Fantastic!

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in this fantastic apartment, and cannot say enough good things. It was even better than the pictures, perfectly appointed with such an attention to detail - the welcome basket, clearly marked containers of everything from spices to laundry soap, and even extra toiletries. The location was perfect, and we could walk to all of the main attractions. Excellent double glazed doors meant practically no outside noise...we could go on. Lastly, Marisa and Manuel made sure we had everything we needed, and checked in while we were there to be sure all was going smoothly. If you have the chance to stay in this apartment, don't hesitate!!

Absolutely Fantastic

Manuel has a fantastic apartment in a great location He was there to greet us and had a very well prepared information package that covered everything about the apartment My wife and I commented that it looked as if it had been newly renovated but we found out that it has been that way for 7 years Manuel is very proud of the transformation he undertook and showed us some photographs of the renovation process. The location is very close to the hustle and bustle of the Gran Via but on a quiet street. There are lots of places to eat nearby and a grocery store is close by. We didn’t spend enough time in Madrid and will be back and hopefully stay at Manuel’s apartment again 5 stars for sure for a couple visiting Madrid

Absolutely stunning apartment!!

Let me start by saying that Manuel and Marisa are excellent hosts of their property! They really took extra time and effort to make sure that we were relaxed and comfortable for our stay in this exquisite apartment. The apartment location and ambience is perfect! The furnishings and style of the apartment are gorgeous. If it were a hotel, it would get a five star rating. This is not an exaggeration! I have never slept so soundly as on the bed in this apartment. I wish our bed at home was this comfortable! Location is perfect. Close to everything yet just off the beaten path to give you a sense of peace. I would recommend this apartment to any person that has a sense of appreciation for fine places to stay!

Home Away From Home in Madrid

This was our first visit back to Madrid in some 30 years and we decided to make it our first VRBO experience. We were pleasantly surprised. From the moment we sent our questions to our host, Manuel, through the booking, the advice seeking, the pre-arrival prep and then on-site check-in and hospitality, this was an extremely favorable experience. Manuel's apartment is exactly as described -- modern, clean and geographically desirable in the center of the city. And then Manuel's "user guide" to the apartment, local restaurants and more made us feel like we had close friends in Madrid. We are an active senior couple and strongly recommend this rental on so many levels. Thank you, Manuel!

What an excellent space.

The posting for this apartment almost seemed too good to be true, but it was accurately listed and the other reviews on here did not over sell it. The apartment is beautiful and luxurious, is located in an upscale neighborhood close to shopping, restaurants, local attractions and the metro station. The host really went above and beyond here. He communicated with us leading up to our trip and met us at the apartment to go over all the little details and to answer any questions we had. He has a comprehensive guide that covers every detail of the apartment, and it proved to be a handy resource on several occasions. I don’t typically review things but in this instance I was truly impressed with the space and our host. If you get the opportunity to book this place I highly recommend it.

Perfect Four Days!

We have stayed in many flats in several countries and sometimes the pictures don’t match reality. This wonderful flat is better that the lovely pictures. Extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable. Marisa and Manuel greeted us and spent time to show how to operate everything properly. They also shared restaurants and other tips. Marisa checked in on us by email a couple of times to be sure all was good. We cook and the kitchen was wonderfully appointed. A five minute walk to the Royal Palace and 30 minutes or less to all of the major museums. This was my husband’s first trip to Madrid and he loved the city and this flat. We will be back and definitely stay here again!

Spectacular apartment!

I can't say enough about our stay in Manuel's wonderful apartment. It's beautifully renovated and decorated, with the thoughtful amenities you'd expect from a 5-star hotel including huge fluffy towels, bathrobes, extras you might have forgotten to pack, such as sunscreen . . . and a welcome basket with the essentials to get you started as well as a lovely bottle of wine and 2 cans of beer! and the kitchen is well stocked with spices, olive oil and vinegars. The central location meant we walked everywhere, and enjoyed delicious meals at a host of local restaurants. Manuel sent links to sights and activities before we arrived, greeted us at the apartment, walked us through and left us with a binder detailing everything we needed to know. We loved Madrid - you should go! And you simply can't stay in a more warm and welcoming home!

Exceptional in every way!

A fabulous apartment stay for any visit to Madrid. We parked our cans didn’t need it once. We explored near and far by foot; a perfect location. Manuel was the perfect host. He met us just outside the door and was warm and inviting. His tour was thorough and his book gad all the answers in writing. He really hasn’t forgotten anything . He even stocked things that you could use but would still go out and just buy for yourself. His gift bag for our five night stay was so very welcoming and kind and both fun. An outstanding host

Manuel, our host, has done a great job of renovating the apt. The apt is clean, well stocked, plenty big for two people, well-lit, has sufficient outlets, and good wifi. It has higher-end appliances (Bosch W/D, Nespresso, ...) and a little lounge chair for putting your feet up at the end of the day. The location is good, including for catching a cab since there's a hotel across the street where there seemed always to be a cab. A little grocery market is 2 blocks away. Our plane was delayed an hour so we arrived about 6:30pm - Manuel was waiting for us to give a walk through of the apt. Plus he had a basket with salad makings and crackers, exactly what we needed after almost 24 hours of travel. Thank you so much Manuel for your hospitality! I would absolutely highly recommend this apt.

Best place ever to stay in Madrid

We very much enjoyed everything about our stay at the perfect one bedroom apartment in a wonderful location in Madrid. Can't be beat! Everything in the apartment is to a very high standard and immaculate.The bed is extremely comfortable and there closet area is fantastic. Linens, appliances, fireplace, TV works really well. The apartment is very well laid out and efficient. We were met by the hosts who showed us how everything works which was extremely helpful and are lovely, checking in on us during our stay. We really appreciated the basket of goodies upon arrival as we had come from a long flight and didn't feel like rushing out to buy provisions. They also have some local tips. Groceries are nearby and there are a few metro stops close by so you can get anywhere. We highly recommend this apartment and will definitely be back! Much more than a five star rental.

Truly a delight and superbly presented. Right in the hear of Madrid.

We were met on arrival by Marisa and Manuel. The exciting designer apartment is exactly as in the photos. It is very well presented, clean and had all the necessary mod cons including air conditioning which was essential when we were there in mid July. We were impressed by the welcome hamper! The kitchen was well equipped. The bed is very comfortable for a good nights sleep. This location is super convenient and you can walk to numerous sites in the city. There are also a number of metro stations within walking distance. There are many restaurants and the hosts provided a list of their recommendations which is great. Madrid has a lot to offer. We spent a week at this lovely apartment. The only trip we made out of town was to Toledo, a must see if you can spare the time. My last comment is that the hosts made every effort to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we are back this way.

The most PERFECT stay.

The place is gorgeous. I was comfortable and felt like I’m at home. Manual is a wonderful and gracious host. Showed me how to use the appliances. He was available to answer my questions. I was highly impressed with how well thought the place was with towels, bedding, dishes and cutlery. The bathroom was very nice! Bedroom is large with a very comfortable bed. Manuel had a basket prepared for me. I will recommend THIS place to anyone going to Madrid. Everything is near by!! I felt safe in the building as a single female. Gracias Manuel! Rani, from Vancouver Canada. It truly was in the centre of Madrid with almost no trouble getting anywhere. Metro is 80m away, grocery store 90m away. Taxis outside because there is a hotel across the street.
