We stayed for a week in late September, and found the villa perfect for our needs. Our very helpful host, Jose, provided every amenity and even lots of local produce to welcome us. The villa has wonderfully comfortable beds and lovely clean bathrooms. The pool is superb and very clean and there are enough loungers for everyone. A toilet and the washing machine are on the same level, with a place to dry clothes etc. The barbeque area is great, and there was enough charcoal for the first night - we cooked outside a lot.
The villa is near enough to Sesimbra town to walk if necessary, and also within walking distance of the castle - a superb spot to enjoy wide views of the whole area (including the villa!)There is a handy and excellent cafe and pastelaria at the top of the road for bread, croissants and of course, the best Portuguese custard tarts! All in all, it is a brilliant place to stay. As we were attending a local wedding, only some of us got the chance to go surfing further up the coast, and we didn't have time to try out the diving or the kayaking, both of which are on offer in Sesimbra. It's also close enough to Lisboa to take a day trip and explore. We'll have to come back - and will be happy to stay at this lovely villa again. Thanks, Jose.
