Nice apartment, bad communication. It is in a great location, a nice neighborhood with small businesses and easy to walk to many sights in Barcelona. It's very quiet with dual paned windows. It was clean and functional, with some small repairs needed, but with one major problem:We booked this months ahead, and knowing that our flight would arrive early in the morning, we paid for the night before. We arrived and were met by a nice woman who works for the manager. Soon after she left we discovered that there was no heat and no hot water. We communicated back and forth, the nice woman returned, but didn't know what to do. Eventually the manager sent someone to fix it but we spent our first day dealing with this & waiting for the repair person, instead of showering after very long flights and exploring Barcelona. Communication with the manager was difficult and tense. I asked for a refund to compensate us for the 24 hours paid for when the apartment was not functional. The manager refused because he was miffed that I had called VRBO to ask questions about our options. Also, shortly before our stay, they sent an email saying that they offer an EarlyBird Pass so that people with morning arrival don't need to pay the full price for the night before, but when I asked, I was told it was too late to use it. We should have been informed of this from the beginning.Management should have known that heat and hot water wasn't working, and should have compensated us for our trouble.
