Nice people, but late meeting us for check in, even after phone conversation. Apartment complex where unit is located is low-income area, although does not appear to be dangerous. Interior of unit looked modern and nice, much different from the outside. We dropped off our luggage and headed out for the day. When we returned after dark we were greeted by thousands of unwanted insect guests. At first it was only a highway of ants entering the back door, traversing the entire apartment, and eventually exiting the front door. As disturbing as this may be, this was only the beginning. I entered the kitchen to find it occupied by a plethora of roaches, large and small. Droppings and body parts on the counter, under the toaster, etc, around the sink, and all over the floor indicated a serious problem. Chris showed up quickly with bug spray, but this infestation was way beyond what could be handled while residents occupied the unit. We wanted to stay, but after a roach crawled out of the sofa and up my wife's back and shoulder, we quickly packed up our items and left. There was no way to convince us to return to the unit or others in the same complex as the trash filled alley behind the unit was sure to house untold quantities of creepy critters. Note that the owner refuses to refund the costs of the stay despite the acknowledged health hazards of this infestation.
As nice as these people are, the property appears to be mismanaged and we were told that there are simply bugs in Guam so a few critters should be expected. Even the inexpensive Days Inn does not have a critter problem like this, and no reputable property could ever survive like this. I trust they realize this and are taking steps to clean up the property. This property may be relatively inexpensive, just know what you're getting for the price.
