Our family stayed for 10 days at Pelican Point and could not be happier. Eddie, who is a caretaker of the property, was the highlight, he is kind, friendly, concerned about our wellbeing and knowledgeable, what a gem! We travelled around the island for a couple days and coming back to Pelican Point certainly felt like “coming home”. Air conditioner worked like a charm, but just opening the doors during the day kept a great breeze flowing. You can walk out onto the beach and straight into the water, the sandy beach lives up to its name, the sand extends all the way into the water, no rocks or coral to avoid. I’m a rockhound and enjoyed searching for shells and sea glass every morning, both in great supply! There are a few eating joints within walking distance, prices are comparable to the states (Oregon, in any case). (In our opinion, Tamboo, directly next door was overpriced for the small portions you receive.) Edwards Famcoop was the place for all your food (and alcohol) staples. Thursday in Rincon art walk was a fun experience, Rincon in town was a perfect spot for hanging out or buying souvenirs! Love Pelican Point, the housekeepers and most of all Eddie!
