Had a great February escape from the Iowa winter!

It had everything we needed and felt like home. The two king beds were soooo comfortable and we slept so well. The kitchen had everything . We cooked in a few meals which is great to enjoy the beach longer some days. We appreciate the two chairs that come with the room I just wish we didn’t have to go down so early and sit a few hours until she came around to reserve them since it states you can’t reserve them with a towel. They took our name down in past years and they put it on our chairs . But it was still wonderful and we will be back next year ! This resort is a well kept secret. We love the family atmosphere !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very pleased with our stay in Condo was great to have a full kitchen with cookware and all utensils. The condo is well maintained and clean. Beds were very comfortable. We needed additional beach chairs every day of our stay, which ended up costing us an addition $240. I would prefer being offered a cost for the week (for a lot less) or the option to pay a set amount each day verses one option.

Great location/not-so-great cleanliness

Unit is very nice and well laid out. Location is fantastic. Grounds are nice. Our unit, however was not super clean when we checked in. Carpets had not been vacuumed, every single coffee cup and several dinner plates in the cupboards were dirty. And not just a little dirty, really dirty. Almost like they’d been put in the dishwasher but the washer had been unloaded without running it! The garbage disposal did not work and there was no notice about that. So when we ran the dishwasher it started backing up. The worst thing though was the smell in the refrigerator. We think the prior guests must’ve gone fishing and put their catch in it. The freezer in particular was very fishy, but the refrigerator too smelled like fish. Every time we opened the door we’d get a huge nasty whiff. Very unpleasant. Housekeeping definitely needs to be put on notice!!! It’s a shame too because the condo is lovely.

Check in a disaster!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was great, the beach rental service was excellent, and the facilities were clean and well-kept.Unfortunately, check-in was a disaster. We arrived at noon and asked about early check-in—something we understand isn’t always possible. But we weren’t let into our room until after 5 PM, which is well past the standard check-in time. When we called to check on the status, there was no apology or courtesy—just a cold reminder that we had “signed an agreement” acknowledging this could happen. The reason given was a “high turnover day.” If that’s expected, hire extra help. Instead, we watched multiple staff members sitting around or taking smoke breaks while guests waited for hours in the lobby.We don’t expect special treatment, but we do expect basic hospitality and respect for our time—especially when paying a premium price. Sadly, this experience soured the start of our trip. Would not stay here again.

Great relaxing vacation

What an awesome piece of property! First time to Destin and what a wonderful experience ,right on the beach. Condo had everything we needed. Would love to visit again.

OMG!!! Great experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my first time staying at a rental property so I did not know what to expect however, it was a beautiful experience. Everything was clean and so nicely decorated. Everything you needed this rental property had matching dishes, pots, pans, glasses, blender you name it and they had it. I hated to leave and I will definitely be back. Did I mention how clean it was? Cleanliness is everything to me. The staff was very nice. Thanks 304 until we meet again.

Excellent rental!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental is my favorite, and we have been staying at Holiday Surf for years!! Beautifully updated, clean unit, with beautiful views! The first night, the battery died in the smoke alarm and the front desk sent someone immediately to fix it. Easy check in/out process and staff was amazing! We will be back next year!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been going to HSRC for 12 years now. The only thing I don’t understand, is why the beach service would not arrange our rooms beach chairs in a circle, or even together in a row. We are a family that rents four units from Saturday to a Saturday. Seems like it’s a small request.

Had a good stay in 304

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Room 304 is a nicely equipped and updated unit. The Keurig coffee maker was nice to have, and the appliances were great. The unit is clean, and offers a nice combination of easy access and good view.That said, there are a couple downsides to be aware of... If you are a light sleeper, I would consider a different unit as the A/C is extremely loud. For example, we had to keep shutting it off while we were in the kitchen or dining room so we could actually hear each other talking at a normal volume.For the master bedroom that has a window facing the ocean and a door to the balcony, there are no curtains/blinds that block out the light. Wasn't an issue for us, but if you're not an early morning person, I would suggest bringing along something to block the light.
