Welcome to your holiday villa in Quinta do Mar, about 800m from Ancão Beach between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago!



This refined, modern 5-bedroom retreat blends glamour and comfort in a privileged Algarve setting. Picture yourself unwinding by the 12×6m overflow pool with jacuzzi after beach strolls, grilling fresh seafood on the BBQ for 10 under the stars, or enjoying sunset cocktails amid lush gardens. Ideal for families craving elegance and space.



Step inside to five spacious air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms across two floors. Ground floor: double with bathtub bathroom, twin with hydromassage shower both in chic white/grey/black tones. First floor: double in white/gold, plus two twins (brown/beige and white/bordeaux) each with jacuzzi bathtubs; the brown-toned room has a sea-view small terrace.



The elegant kitchen shines with dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and direct BBQ/pool access. The bright open-plan living room features high ceilings, fireplace, cable TV (English/Portuguese channels), whole-house sound system, central AC and Wi-Fi. Basement leisure space offers snooker, card table, and TV sofa.



Guests rave about the outdoor oasis stunning 12×6m overflow pool (0.75-2.20m depth, 4-person jacuzzi, heating April–October with 48h notice/extra cost, weather permitting), expansive garden, 10-person shaded dining, plush outdoor sofas/chairs, kids' play areas, and a table tennis.

Fabulous holiday!

Villa Mar had everything we needed for a great week away with the family. It is in a fabulous location close to the beach and within walking distance to several of our favourite restaurants. It was very clean and the management company was very friendly and helpful. We also appreciated all the TV channels and made the most of the pool table.

Amazing Villa.

Breathtaking surroundings. The photographs did not do the place justice. Absolutely fabulous. Highly recommended. We’ve had the most wonderful week. We stayed at Villa Mar for a family holiday. The villa itself was perfect for 5 adults and 5 children. The 5 double bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The living areas were ideal for spending time together. The outdoor areas were beautiful. Check in and out was seamless. The local area is fantastic for children and adults with beautiful restaurants and beaches. All in all a lovely break, didn’t want to come home.

Beautiful villa; just missing the mark for perfection

We all absolutely LOVED this villa! Exactly what we needed with mixed family groups. The Positives: Very spacious & comfortable with the added leisure facilities (pool & ping pong) such a bonus. Our bed was SO comfortable, and the linens lovely. Fans in each room plus air con if required. The pool & garden are stunning, as well as being private and secure. Close enough to coastline for a lovely walk, and Uber taxis generally cheap & available to get to more built up areas/beaches if you don’t want to walk more than a few kms (best beaches not near villa, but some mega restaurants)! The property management were brilliant; barring the pool heating issue I couldn’t fault them. Very responsive & very helpful. The negatives: Take your own pool towels! This wasn’t stated at all, and didn’t find anywhere to buy any locally. Take your own washing up/cleaning/hand washing materials. I ordered some with our shop that were taken off as “provided” but none were provided. Pool heating/take a thermometer- we paid for heating for the week but not having been before we weren’t sure how warm it should be. Turns out the heater was broken, replaced on last full day and morning of departure was like a bath. Still charged for 6 days (my own fault for not realising the pool temperature was in fact colder than the sea, but upsetting nonetheless). The built in bbq isn’t there anymore sadly; we had a dirty gas one instead. Pool spa & wooden decking- has some very sharp edges the kids cut their feet on. Not something we worried about overly but others might (also worth taking photos on arrival in case; we didn’t, but got worried when the property manager was taking photos prior to our departure!)

Good pool, although jacuzzi kept tripping out. Pool pump failure quickly addressed and sorted. Good barbecue and patio area Initial location instructions could be clearer, including house number (8) and road name would help Downstairs play area dart board and darts very tired Outside bin broken Table tennis balls need replacing Pool towels should be included not an extra Two sets of keys and gate buttons should be included so that groups can split up and be more flexible Provision of plug in mosquito deterrents would be good

Beautiful house in beautiful location.

We stayed in Villa Mar between December ‘19 and the end of March 2020. The house itself is lovely with a fabulous pool and outside space. It’s well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen and an abundance of towels/bedding etc. The air con is great but during these winter months we used the log burning fire which was beautiful. The staff at seashell were excellent, they came back to us promptly with any concerns we had and attended to the very minor issues we encountered during our stay extremely quickly. The staff were friendly and the maintenance, garden and cleaning teams were brilliant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this highly professional company and would recommend a stay at Villa Mar for families with kids or just on your own, it was really sensational. I’m not sure I’d say anything here, we were wholly satisfied.

Excellent location Fantastic swimming pool Very spacious Clean Good wi fi The beds in 3 out of the 5 bedrooms were rock hard and not usable. This would stop us re-booking the property in future. General upkeep could be improved, half the light bulbs did not work. A mid week towel change would be useful. More and improved umbrellas around the pool are required.

Amazing villa some updating required

This villa is absolutely perfect for large groups and is able to hold 10 people comfortably. However, there were some issues that need to be resolved. We were unable to have access to the villa until 4pm on the day of arrival which is quite late, we arrived to be told that it was not ready and were unable to gain access until 5:30pm. The property should have been cleaned after one week, the cleaners did not turn up until 5:30pm on the second Monday, only 4 nights before our departure. The refrigerator was inadequate for the potential number of people advertised to stay in the property, it was far too small leaving an insufficient amount of room for food and drinks to be stored. This was a problem for us as we spent a lot of time by the pool. We chose this property for the amazing garden and pool area which did not disappoint, it is stunning but lack of sun umbrellas was a problem there was one to share between 11 sun beds. I feel that if the above issues can be resolved this property would make the perfect holiday destination.

Toller Urlaub im tollen Haus

Das Haus ist tatsächlich noch etwas schöner und besser, als auf den Bildern zu sehen. Nette und unkomplizierte Betreuung vor Ort von der Familie Seashell. Wir hatten nichts zu bemängeln und hatten eine sehr schöne und erholsame Woche in dem Haus. Wir machen einmal im Jahr mit befreundeten Pärchen Urlaub in Villen in Europa und diese war bisher unsere beste Wahl. Absolut weiter zu empfehlen. Eine Besonderheit war, dass alle Schlafzimmer und Bäder ungefähr gleichgroß und gut ausgestattet sind. Da gibt es keine Diskussionen um das beste Zimmer.

Fantastic modern villa

Had a great week at the villa, which is in a nice quiet area, everything was perfect, Seashell staff were very helpful, beach 10 min walk, with a few bars and restaurants, no shops in walking distance, would recommend a car, or using the very efficient "Cheekylittlemonkeys" taxi firm (a must!). My only criticism is that you cannot have access to the villa until 4pm (which is on the website - but you are not reminded of this at any other stage of the correspondence - you can drop off your cases) so an early flight isn't much use! All in all a fantastic villa, with everything you would want!
