Sol Madrid

Perfect location. Roomy flat. Communication with host was a bit of challenge. I would highly recommend this flat based on location alone

I want to first say the only way I can rate this properly is to put the pros and cons of this property. Here it is: Pros, great location, lots of restaurants, walking distance just about any place. Building has a lot of character, in the room are spacious and theres lots of room to relax. Cons: wore out mattresses and couch pillows. No coffee maker was a total con and at no point did we feel like guest in this property. No attention to detail, every property we’ve stayed in Europe does little things like water bottles, coffee, sugar, even toiletries. The property offered, nothing. It felt like somebody’s income machine, and the place was showing it. Other guests in building had the same problem, checking in. What they don’t understand (host ) is that you can’t send somebody a link hours before you show up, to get access to the building through an app ( no keys) and we stood out the street for over an hour, the lady that lives in the building, let us in and we were able to talk to someone who had problems checking in and they showed us how to get access to the app that opened up the doors. Terrible experience.

Review

This property worked for a short stay. However, the bathrooms were not great. One shower did not drain, and the other bathroom’s toilet didn’t flush. Lacked several normal kitchen items like pans. Although, location was great and the beds were comfortable and clean.

Trip to Madrid

This property was very conveniently located. The building is nice and has an elevator. The apartment could use some upgraded furnishings, bed linens, and some kitchen wares. Instructions for using the washer/dryer would have been helpful. The water pressure in the showers was not ideal. The apartment needs a detailed, deep cleaning. Overall, I would stay again, hoping some of the upgrades are addressed.

Location

The property is perfect location. Issues with hot water going from cold to hot while taking a shower. Pictures and blind fell while were sleeping. Contacted the host on these but no one showed up to help. Later I learned that the property overcharged us $131 with no invoice or explanation. Had to call VRBO to get this resolved.

Good location.

I’ll start by saying that the price is pretty good and the location is great. We were second floor in an outdoor mall - just above mango and Zara. I loved that part. It was very interesting, being in this shopping area, but I actually liked the energy. Second, I’ll say that the communication w the property manager was awful. We had to show up in Madrid just hoping to God that the apt was there and available, as no one ever sent info until the very last minute. It was so stressful that we booked a secondary hotel just in case there was a problem. We arrived in Madrid and found the apt without a problem. The building was nice and felt very safe. Inside, the smell was terrible and didn’t feel very clean at all, which I didn’t love. The beds aren’t comfortable but also not the worst I guess. They need to clean up and update the furniture if they want better reviews. The shower was not great, and each person is allotted only one bath towel for their whole stay. That’s it. If you want more towels, tough luck. They did have a washer dryer machine that helped us with washing our own linens but you definitely do not feel pampered whatsoever. I couldn’t wait to get back to my clean home and clean bed.

DEPARTAMENTO RECOMENDABLE

UBICACION, ESTADO, BUEN GUSTO, AMPLITUD, FUNCIONALIDAD. ALGUN PROBLEMA TECNICO CON AIRES ACONDICIONADOS, AGUA CALIENTE EN UN BAÑO, FALTA DE LUZ DE EMERGENCIA EN CASO DE CORTE DE ENERGIA ELECTRICA (OCURRIO UN CORTE DE ENERGIA) Y PUERTA DE PLACARD SUJETA SOLO CON UNA BISAGRA QUE SE SALIO.
