Stono River House, Relax and Enjoy

This 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home is located on the intra-coastal waterway, in a quiet gated community, 20 minutes from Historic downtown Charleston. This house, surrounded by live oaks, offers a relaxing Southern atmosphere. The wrap-around porch offers a variety of natural views. This 3 story home has elevator access to each floor. The top floor has 3 bedrooms with queen beds and an open bonus room with a double bed. The main floor boasts a large family room, a kitchen, and a dining room overlooking the Stono river. Just off the family room is the master suite with a king bed and a private bath with an antique claw foot tub and separate walk in shower. There is also a double bed located off the kitchen with a connecting half bath. This river home sleeps 10 to 12 people comfortably and is ideal for connecting with nature and relaxing. There is an elevator for luggage and ease of getting into the house. However the contractor chose to make the interior doors too small for wheelchairs.

If you are looking for a spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable house away from the hustle and bustle of Charleston/IOP/Folly, this is the place for you! Close enough to Charleston and the beaches if you want to go. Having a dock with access to the Stono River was a huge plus for us. We brought our boat and spent the weekend on the water fishing. Hosts were exceptional. We will definitely be back.

Great stay, house was COMPLETELY outfitted....really felt like staying at a HOME. Lots of room, and beds. Nice location, close tho all of charleston, but also in a non city setting with views of the marsh (and dock).

Kitchen was very well equipped. Weather was rainy for our stay and we were busy preparing for the wedding of our granddaughter so we did not do much activity in the outdoor area.
