This property was conveniently located to most everything we wanted to access in the area. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were clean upon arrival. The "short walk" to Otter Cove is a little over-represented, in my opinion. An exact distance would be more transparent.

The cottage is lovely-cozy and has all the amenities we needed. Central to hiking, Bar Harbor, Seal Harbor. The accuracy of the listing has to do with the restaurants listed that are closest—all but one with a very mediocre rating is still open. BUT Bar Harbor is 12-15 mins away and has plenty of restaurants if you have patience for parking. Amanda’s place made it easy for us to decide to buy groceries and grill!

Really lovely property in a great location! We enjoyed taking the half mile path down to Otter Cove several mornings, and this was a great home base for exploring Acadia (interspersed with toddler naps). Everything was exactly as described in the listing and Amanda was very communicative.

My family and I had a very nice experience in this cozy cottage. It is in a great location convenient to several trail heads. It has everything you need and the Otter creek store is a short walk away for the items you forgot.

Our cottage was lovely and equipped with everything you would need. It was a great location for park access. Our host was wonderful and replied quickly to any inquiries. I highly recommend this property.

Otter Cliff Cottage provided us with everything we wanted from the spacious open plan kitchen/dining area/living room to the very comfortable master bedroom. The location couldn't be better- within walking distance to the Southridge trail up Cadillac in one direction, and in the other, to Otter Cove and easy access to the Ocean Path on the Loop Road. What more could anyone want?

My family and I have stayed at Otter Cliff Cottage two summers in a row, both stays have been very enjoyable. The Cottage is clean, nicely decorated, quiet and in a great location. Amanda the host is very responsive and extremely nice and professional. We would highly recommend staying here at this cottage, we can't wait for our next visit.

Comfortable Cottage

The 2 BR, 1 bath cottage was slightly larger than expected. Furnishings were attractive, cottage was clean, bedding was comfortable. Check-in was easy, parking convenient, and neighborhood was quiet. Kitchen provided extras, eg spices, trash bags, soap, laundry, coffee, which were welcomed. Bedrooms and living area were furnished to be comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, appreciated the use of park guidebooks and would return.

A perfect family getaway

What a great little cottage! We just had the best family vacation here (2 adults 2 kids under age 5). One of the first things my wife said when we walked in was that it was even nicer than the pictures. I would give the location a 6 if I could. Right in the middle of Acadia and you can literally walk to the country store from the steps. Amanda was great and has everything prepared so nicely; the local flowers on the kitchen table were lovely. Our two girls had a blast sharing their room together, it was the perfect size for young kids.Sure it's a little close to the neighbors but on top them in any overbearing way. There's a yard for kicking a ball (whywe chose here) and a nice fire ring for smores and campfires. All the rooms have separately controlled hearing and air. In addition to being fully furnished the kitchen has a (loud) washer/dryer and dishwasher for convenience.

This house was beautiful! It was spotless when we arrived, well-equipped with everything that we needed. It was the perfect vacation getaway. We will definitely return on our next visit to Acadia ... which I hope will be soon. Thanks to Amanda, our stay on Mt Desert was perfect!

Beautiful stay

We were nicely surprised with the cleanliness of the house. The location of the house was within walking distance to trails. The fire pit was a nice addition. Very close to Bar Harbor. Us four adults had a great stay.

Perfect central location

We had theee days to visit Acadia National Park. This place is right in the middle of the park. Clean, comfortable, good knives and adequate cutting boards - a true test of a good place to stay!

Great Location & Property

We really enjoyed our stay at the Otter Cliffs cottage. It was well laid out, plenty of room, clean, and had all the provisions we needed. It is located in Acadia National Park, so we were able to hike right into the park, or it was just a very quick drive to it, as well. Also, a short drive to Bar Harbor. We lost power due to a wind storm that came through the area while we were there. Amanda was very responsive and compassionate. She brought water and other provisions we might need right away, but the power came back later in the day. All around would definitely recommend a stay here if you're in the area.

Perfect cottage in a choice location

The cottage was clean, very nice and well stocked. Perfect for my wife and I. The location was great for close proximity to Bar Harbor, Seal Harbor, and NorthEast Harbor as well as Acadia and many hikes We took a few hikes directly from the path by the house as well. So many hikes and so little time. Communication with the owner was great. Highly recommend!!

Great stay in Acadia

We loved our stay in this home. The location was great. As others have mentioned, it was super accessible to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, but tucked away on a quiet street. We love using the fire pit in the evening. The layout of the house was great for two adults and two young children - and very accurately represented in the listing. We would absolutely stay here again!

Delightful 3rd stay at Otter Cliff Cottage!

This was our third year staying at Otter Cliff Cottage, and we couldn't be happier with the accommodations. It is clean, comfortable, and convenient, and Amanda is a wonderful host. She continues to make some minor upgrades to the already well-appointed cottage, and she is always quick to respond to questions or problems. We'll plan to return next summer as well!

Wonderful!

This is our second year spending a week at Otter Cliff Cottage, and we had another fantastic experience! The cottage was equipped with many cooking supplies, pantry items, a washer and dryer, and comfortable beds! You can’t beat the location- close to Acadia and Bar Harbor, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Amanda was very communicative and super easy to work with. We’d love to stay again!

Surrounded by Acadia National Park

The Otter Creek cottage is a great spot for a low-key stay with great access to Acadia National Park. The cottage itself is in a small residential village that is virtually surrounded by Acadia National Park. You're within walking distance of several hiking paths and you can reach the carriage roads for biking or hiking within minutes by car or by using the Island Explorer shuttle. The town of Bar Harbor itself is very crowded in July but you can get there easily if you want to shop or dine out. The cottage was ultra-clean when we arrived and very well equipped. We were there during a warm and humid spell for Maine and appreciated the air conditioning.in every room. The owner was easy to contact but we had no issues at all during our stay. There's a sister cottage on the same lot so a larger group could stay together if both were rented. Definitely a 5!

Cottage did not disappoint

My wife, son and dog Maya recently rented Otter Creek Cottage. We found the Cottage to be clean, neat and organized. The location was perfect to get to Northeast Harbor, Bar Harbor and the Acadia Park. The property manager Amanda was very pleasant to work with, she returned communications very quickly and provided some nice suggestions. We are already discussing renting the Cottage again next year.
