I would highly recommend this beach cottage. The location is prime - less than a minute walk to the bay and five minutes to the beach. I really appreciated having a house vs a multiunit condo, and with our own outdoor space. This rental has a king sized bed which rare and it is very comfortable. It was so nice to have a parking spot, as we found renting a car was key to seeing all San Diego had to offer. Candis was very responsive to an issue we encountered. One side note I would offer is that as of the end of November 2025, the house next door was under construction. The crew respected the quiet hours and didn’t start until 8 am. The primary impact for us was that we like to sleep in on vacation. So if your family, especially those staying in the primary room (as it is on that side of the house), are looking to sleep in past 8 am wait to stay here until the construction is complete. They seem to be moving quickly.

This property was a great place for my family to stay during our visit. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the bay. The beds were very comfortable as well!

Perfect!

We really enjoyed staying here for the week. As a family, having the bay walk was perfect in the mornings and there is a lovely playground about 10min away. Also walkable to the beach and really appreciated the wagon with all the toys needed to keep the kids occupied. The house was clean and well stocked. Would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend!!

Property is exactly as described! We stayed with two adults and three kids (4-12 yrs old) and loved it! Beach is a short walk away with kids. They have a wagon and beach accessories to use. The host responds back fast and is super helpful. Neighbors were also very nice. Quiet neighborhood! Highly recommend!! We’ll be back!! The family loved staying here!

Nice little beach cottage

This is a very comfortable home with two good sized bedrooms and two baths. Everything was well-equipped, especially the kitchen. The owner was very responsive with every question and easy to work with. A car/uber is needed to get to most of the restaurants, but the neighborhood is very nice. It’s close to the jetty and beach and a very nice walking neighborhood. It’s close to the airport.

Our Home Away From Home

We call this “our house” when visiting San Diego. We love the location, the beds are so comfortable, and has everything we need. It’s easy to just show up and make yourself at home. We have returned to this rental multiple times, so that should say a lot! The host is extremely responsive and helpful. We will be back!!!
Here’s my favorite bike they have available for you to use! Our favorite thing to do is cruise the bay walk.
My teenage kids even have fun! Literally steps away from the bay and the ocean.

Such a nice escape!

We really enjoyed our time at this house. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and basics, the beds were comfortable, the house was clean and it was in a good location, quick walk to the bay and an easy stroll to the beach. Parking is a little tight in the back alleyway, so don't attempt with anything larger than a small SUV. There is street parking though, if available. I would definitely recommend this rental!

Perfect

We plan on staying at this rental again next time we come to visit San Diego!! The rental was fully loaded with any and all amenities you may need! From bikes to laundry soap and all the toiletries you could possibly need. The stay was absolutely perfect!!

10/10 Wonderful stay, especially for a couple

Great location, and great little cozy beach home with extra amenities (beach gear, bikes, BBQ etc). We enjoyed our stay very much. It's a lovely quiet part of Mission Beach and so close to the ocean beach, Mission Bay etc. We certainly will be looking here first on our next stay in SD. Many thanks!

Perfect Beach Cottage

This is a great little beach house that had everything to make our stay enjoyable at an affordable price. It worked out perfectly for 4 adults. We loved the location a few blocks from the bay, but still a very short walk to the ocean side. The beds were comfortable and the place was stocked with all the necessities + extras for the beach. Candis was very responsive and available if we needed anything. Wouldn't hesitate to rent again.

Great location

We loved the area of this property. The house was cute and perfect for two couples. It has a great courtyard in the front with a table and chairs and two lounge chairs. Quick walk to a few restaurants and the beach.

Wonderful Stay!

We stay at this cottage every year and always have a great time. The cottage is stocked with everything you could possibly need, and is always neat and clean. Candis is always available for any questions you might have. The perfect getaway cottage!

Best Beach House Location for Family!

This house exceeded our expectations and was the perfect home for our family trip. The bay was so close and so many items were provided to make the quick walk to the bay easy. We loved being so close to see Sea World fireworks nightly The front porch was wonderful! 3 doors open up from the house which makes a great cross breeze. Plenty of storage for items on the sides of the house, leaving the outside space clean and open. The house came equipped with so much- from brand name shower items to coffee filters. The beds were very comfortable and the linens smelled so fresh. This sweet street is quiet and filled with many, kind and happy year round neighbors. We have a GMC Yukon and had no problem parking in the provided space. A second smaller car could have fit as well. There is a great closed in area between the parking space that serves as locked storage. All rooms had ceiling fans, but the two air conditioning units came in handy on warmer afternoons. Candis was great to communicate with, when needed. We had the best week here, and cannot wait to come again!

SD Family Trip

We had a great time. Place was very clean and location was perfect. 1 block to bay and 2 blocks to beach. Wagon was helpful getting sand toys and chairs to the beach. Location was easy to get to as we did Legoland and SD Zoo while there. Walkable to the Belmont Park and restaurants.

Great house by beach

I loved this house! 2 houses from the bay and 1 block from the ocean side. So much in walking distance- a market (though pricey), coffee and breakfast shops, restaurants, etc. The house had everything our family of 4 needed. I would absolutely come back and stay here.
