Perfect house for our couples weekend! The only real issue we had was with the downstairs hall bathroom. The shower wasn't working and the sink was leaking. Someone was sent to repair it and said it was fixed but it wasn't.

Beautifull house by Indian Lake

The house had a great location that met all our needs. Great views of the sunrise! Being near the RV park gave us a front row seat for the fireworks show Sunday night! Overall, a great experience!

Good location for fireworks

Nice and clean house, the Wi-Fi is terrible and people in the campground and pool are rude , but other than that a good stay

Family funeral

Very convenient location and good accommodation for our extended family for my mother’s funeral. The separate living quarters allowed us to put the children to bed and allow the adults space for socializing at night. The kids loved the pool and playground. I have to say, the sofa sleepers were truly horrible. Thankfully we brought blow up mattresses and all was well. I would not count on the pull outs as a realistic sleeping option as they were springs with a thin layer of fabric. If you plan to cook for a crowd, the kitchen is not well stocked for that. We’ve rented many homes at various locations through VRBO and I would say this home is over priced but suited our needs for the few days we were there. If we were there for a full weeks vacation, I would expect more.

Family Vacation

Great experience! We had a blast while staying here. Pictures of yard/lake access are misleading but it didn’t matter. We had so much fun fishing, playing on the play set and swimming at the pool. Great fire pit! The camp ground people were all very friendly as well. We joined in for their community Street fair/dancing. Our kids loved it!

Beautiful cottage, great location, close to the play ground, pool and fishing pond! With in walking distance to Rock the Lake also!

3rd Year At House

As usual the communication and check in with owner was prompt and effortless. Home well cleaned and prepped for our stay. Bummer that the steady price increases will probably end our stays there, but if you are looking for a home for your large group at Indian Lake you should consider this one.

Great space for multiple family groups

My family and siblings (and their families) all stayed for a week in June. We all had a blast! Being directly across from the pool and playground was wonderful. We had several kids all under 6 who had a blast fishing with grandpa, swimming in the pool (locked fence for the parents' sanity too!), and flying kites in the park across the street. We spent many evenings on the lower deck visiting, and mornings watching the sunrise of the upper deck. Perfect setup for multiple families with little kids. There is enough separation of living and sleeping spaces that we were all able to enjoy ourselves and the kiddos still slept!

Problems

It took us some time to check in because the owner forgot to send the code. That night we had problems with the shower drains and flushing the toilets. We could not use the water the next morning. Contacted the owners, they took a while to respond but by noon the problem was fixed . We asked for a discount due to the plumbing problem, owners never responded.

The place was everything we needed and more!

We had an amazing experience with our stay! From the owner allowing us an early check in to the amazing cookies they provided as a welcome gift! I had a boat booked for the morning so we headed up from Cincinnati, well the weather turned and our boat was canceled. We were stuck with nothing to do, so the owner let us check in early which I was extremely thankful for! The owner was also quick to reply to any of my questions! The house was really big and was very charming. I have already forwarded this home to 2 different people to book because we liked it so much!

Family Getaway

Our entire family came here for a mini vacation!!! Everything was amazing! Perfect location for adults and children! The house was amazingly comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the fishing, sitting out by the fire and beautiful views! Thank you for being so accommodating and welcoming us with some delicious cookies! We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Family Vacation Getaway

We had 10 people 6 adults and 4 kids ranging from 8 mo to 5 . Check in GREAT, they let us check in early. Walking trail across street awesome, campground nice to ride bikes and big yard to play in. Nice pool even though closed sunday but gave us a bit of a refund due to inconvenience and had lights around pond ( and fireworks) Kitchen had all pots, etc needed and store close to go get necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, food) very convenient to beach (1/2 mile down road-can take walking trail or drive) Kids had a ball. House great divided with upstairs with kitchen and bedrooms and downstairs with kitchen and bedrooms so could have some privacy between families and kids. Hope to come back sometime. Very friendly campground area. Really enjoyed THANKS!

Family Vacation 2020

The reason for 4 stars regarding location is I didn't understand the camping was near the cottage. However, this was not an issue during our stay. We had a great time!! The campers were very friendly when encountered and we played bingo with them on Saturday evening under the huge shelter area. There is a stocked pond near the cottage. The walk/run/bike paved trail is across the street. Boat loading docks and beaches are a close drive. The pool was awesome for the kids and adults. Our reservation started during the week and we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Saturday there were more people, but still able to do social distancing. The bench swing under a huge tree in the back yard was great and used by all of us. The cottage is very spacious. The bedrooms are roomy with closets for hanging clothes, as well as dressers. The second floor has views of the lake and sunrises from the deck. There is also a deck off the downstairs kitchen / dining area. Provided plenty of setting for us, 11+. The kitchens included pots and pans, dishes and silverware. We did most cooking in the downstairs kitchen. And grilled one evening. The property managers were very responsive to our questions before and during our stay.

The key code was not visible in my email, good thing cleaning crew was still there at 3:50 pm. Convenient location to beach, pool, bike path, playground and fishing pond. Nice shade tree in the yard. Everybody enjoyed all the activities together. We like campfires so the fire ring was utilized. Kitchen is very small, we used the back patio for most meals. Brought our kids picnic table along, worked great. The covered swing in the yard was used a lot but is a poor design, everybody kept hitting their heads on the top. So watch it if you are over 5'9". Critter trap along the house must have caught something, leaving a foul odor in house after day one. Overall, fun time!

very nice property-we did not receive a code to enter the house and we could not find an office on the property. i called the 800 # and left a message but did not receive a phone call. we had hoped to boat that day, but spent time trying to get in. received an email around 5:45 i believe with the entry code- the day before we were leaving, i believe i met the property manager-she said i would receive a call -but did not-

Great Family Getaway

Family vacation

Property was nice. Room for all of us. Yard big enough for yard games. Pool very nice. Misleading info about the campground. It states house and 2 campers. There are actually closer to 100. Luckily it was only the weekend that was crowded.

Great house!

Wonderful place for family time!

After moving out to separate new homes we refurbished and began using it as a rental so others could enjoy what we called home. Our family has undergone many changes since 1990, but our love for this home continues.

Our family has owned this beautiful property since 1990. It underwent a massive beautification in 2015. The views from the home of beautiful Indian lake are amazing and often referred to by locals as a million dollar view. The home is very spacious, with two living rooms, two kitchens and tons of bedrooms and living spaces. The arches that greet you as you enter rooms were maintained in this centuries old home. Wood floors greet you in every room and the beauty is amazing. You will simply feel at home-

The home sits inside of a campground. There is an additional home next door. The property has a fishing pond, large playground, expansive shelter house and a very large swimming pool which is heated and open from Memorial day to Labor day. (some years it is open later) Finally there is a basketball court and tons of activities that you are invited to join in at the campground.
