Great Views

Amazing views on this property. Views of the Blackfoot River, a rock face w/big horn sheep, and the busiest hummingbird feeder that I have seen. This place was the perfect base camp for our family with lots of outdoor recreation surrounding us. The house is well furnished and the beds were super comfortable. The hosts were excellent, just good people who are sharing their spot. We hope to be back.

An Oasis

The title of oasis is as accurate as I’m able to describe this home. From the sheep navigating the sheer cliffs, river, garden, house - just incredible. I wish I had booked for longer, the kids already are asking to go back. So many hummingbirds that we had to (got to) refill the feeders twice in four days…. Owners are friendly and helpful. Bring your fly rod and binoculars. Highly recommend.

Lovely property

We enjoyed our stay with some family members. We were in town for a wedding. The house is comfortable, kitchen is well provisioned and the garden is amazing. Obviously a lot of love goes into caring for the property.

Awesome Montana House

Great house, owners, and location for fly fishing, Glacier, exploring Missoula, hiking and so much more! Love the river view, AC, TV, Wifi, big windows, tables, hot tub, yard, humming birds….one of the best houses that we have stayed in through VRBO for Montana. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Property great location

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our time at this property. It's just perfect for relaxing family fun, its far enough out to be secluded but close enough to amenities you can access them easily. Dale and Jeannie were wonderful hosts it was very clean and they were kind enough to allow us to bring our dogs who I think may have had the best vacation of all! We cannot wait to return!

Amazing home. Amazing vacation.

What a home to spend a week in! Extremely clean, great location, had all the amenities and lovely hosts. We would love to return to the gem. The 8 of us, 4 adults 4 teens had the best time during our week. Such a beautiful location with views to wake up to that made memories. Thank you, thank you.

Paradise on the Blackfoot

This property is stunningly beautiful, meticulously and beautifully decorated, landscaped like a "Better Homes and Gardens" cover, and the hosts are extremely helpful and attentive. Situated on the Blackfoot river, it is 5 miles from Missoula and surrounded by bluffs above the river.

Jeanie & Dale have done an incredible job with the home and the grounds! Conveniently located to both Missoula and the Kettlehouse Amphitheater. Interior is very well appointed with the most incredible views. The terraces leading down to the river have the most beautiful landscaping!! The deck w hot tub is perfect for relaxing! We loved staying here as did my Golden who swam 4 times a day. We will most definitely be back! Owners are so nice and helpful

Beautiful river property!

My family spent a wonderful week at this clean and comfortable home in a magnificent location along the Blackfoot River. The house and grounds are very well maintained and there is a beautiful outdoor living space with plenty of seating on the deck. We had a maintenance issue that was quickly taken care of by the owner next door. The owners were friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this property to others and I would love to stay here again if we ever return to this part of Montana.

Perfection on The Blackfoot

My brother and I had a long weekend here and everything was as described and then some. The river was low, so we were able to wade out into the water and fish as much as we wanted. The fishing was great. Location is close enough to town to get in easily, but far enough away to feel really secluded. The scenic views from the house were amazing. The photos don’t do it justice. We caught a concert at the Kettlehouse Amphitheater and the location to that venue couldn’t be better. We were back to the house within minutes after the show was over. I can only hope that I can plan another trip to the area and stay here again. Trust me, you will love it!

Beautiful home in a breathtaking location!

Besides the two black bears we got to watch frolick across the river and the evening entertainment provided by the Big horn sheep on the hillside above the river, the grounds, tiered gardens and riverside gazebo were amazing. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with everything you could need and the huge patio with outstanding view make this a wonderful place to stay. Dale and Jeanie were excellent hosts in an equally large acreage next door, but gave us all the privacy possible while answering any questions if we needed information . The house is well insulated from temperature extremes and noise, so a perfect getaway. There were only 2 of us, so didn’t use the upstairs, but the two bedrooms and bath were nice with great views. If you do require Internet access, it is very spotty and you only get PBS channels on the TV. We found it peaceful to unplug for a few days and it added to the lovely setting.
