Our second stay in this exact cabin. Quaint and right on the lake. It's so peaceful. We sat and made a fire both night, ate s'mores, and enjoyed nature. It's also a bonus Mackinac City is 10 minutes away. Owner is nice, communicates, and is available if you need anything because he lives on the property. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay, great communication with Ritchie. The place is in such a beautiful and convenient spot. My 4 year old son was enamored with the rustic cabin feel! Very close to Mackinaw city for a day trip to the island or a drive to the UP. Thanks!

My kids and I came up for my Grandfather's memorial it was a nice place for just a couple of nights. Great view of carp lake.

Terrible vacation

The cabin was less than inviting. Our neighbors had twi small dogs and one attacked my larger dog which made me keep him inside due to the no leash policy even though Michigan has a leash law. The lady next door decided to swim bottomless while my 10 yr old was fishing on dock. . Dogs constantly barking and coming into our space. .last day there 2 more dogs show uo so now 4 yapoing dogs and add in squeeky toys. We left a day early for peace of mind. Smelled of mildew and my son and myself never stopped coughing the while time.

My husband and I booked 5 nights at the cabin. During the first night there was a storm that knocked out power the next day. We stayed hoping it would come back on but then also lost water in the cabin as well. There was no resolution offered nor communication about the situation. We’re left after the second night. Highly dissatisfied.

Warm and cozy cabin stay!

Great warm cabin for a one night stay that was halfway to our final destination. Amazing communication with host and greeted us at arrival. Good location in quiet neighborhood- only struggle, we thought was due to time of year, was the amount of restaurants open the night we stayed. We did find a good spot and toured a quiet downtown of Mackinaw City with snow. Would recommend!

Beautiful getaway!

Clean, warm cozy cabin with a beautiful view and access to the lake! Highly recommended. Did a little ice fishing, lake had enough ice!

Thanksgiving family get a way

Family get a way for thanksgiving break. Great cabin, the weather is a little bit too cold. On the way back home, lots of snow.

It was exactly what me and my wife were looking for. We stayed here for our honeymoon and after all the wedding planning and chaos, this cabin was a perfect recharge station for us. I booked 2 nights, but I wish I would've booked it longer. It was peaceful and a nice change of pace for us. We are planning on making it a yearly tradition going forward.

Born and raised in Northern Michigan, I’ve worked with the special needs community for over 30 years. By recently purchasing a little 7 cabin lakefront resort, I was able to transition my career to incorporate my love for camping, outdoor activity, and local history in a way I can share with others. I offer vacation rentals of vintage rustic lakeside cabins that were established in 1929. I welcome guests who love the camping experience while venturing to the Mackinac area historic sites, adventurers who come to enjoy outdoor activities, or those who are simply here to relax and enjoy the area’s natural beauty.

A hybrid word, combining the Anishinaabemowin word wah'goosh (fox) and the French word anse (cove). This 2 bedroom, 528 sq ft cabin is named after a nearby peninsula off the northwest coast of Michigan's lower peninsula.
