Very clean!! Everything you could possibly need is there. Cabinets are labeled which is very helpful. Very quiet neighborhood. Best beach area in Texas. Nice touch with the gifts for my dogs which they loved!! Perfectly managed property!! We will definitely be back, thank you so much!

5 days at Pelicans Pass with my grandkids was the BEST way to end the summer. This beach house was better than described. 3 screened porches. Beach & bay views. The sunset from the highest porch was picturesque. The beach just a 100 yards away. Pet friendly. And everything is provided. All you need to bring is food, beach towels and your family!! I will definitely be staying at Pelicans Pass again in the future, and will definitely recommend to everyone who is listening.

This was our 2nd time to stay here for July 4th and we loved it just as much as the 1st time. The views are beautiful from all 3 balconies! Perfect place to relax and take it all in.Everything was clean & perfectly stocked. EASY access to beach!! We look forward to coming back next year!

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely book this property again. The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and the master bedroom was especially nice. We also loved the amenities, especially the three screened-in patios, which gave us plenty of space to relax without worrying about bugs.The location was another highlight for us. It's just a short walk to the beach, and we had a great time catching blue crabs along the shore. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway away from the crowds, this is an excellent choice.During our stay, the refrigerator stopped working. The property management team responded quickly and had it replaced within two days. While it was an inconvenience, we really appreciated how promptly they handled the situation and their effort to make things right.The only thing future guests should keep in mind is how remote the property is. We personally loved the seclusion, but it's about 12 miles to the nearest grocery store, and both Galveston and Surfside are a bit of a drive. As long as you plan ahead for groceries and supplies, the peaceful location is well worth it.Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and we wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.

We loved the property! Everything we needed was there and locations were labeled so no searching. A big thank you to the cleaning crew - everything was spotless! The views from every porch and balcony - there were 4- were amazing. And the ramp instead of stairs was a big plus. The dogs loved racing each other to the top. Thank you to the 979 crew for having us. Hopefully we can return next year.
Fishing was fabulous on the beach!

Love this area

We have stayed in this neighborhood for several years now this was our first time as a smaller group so we chose this smaller house and it did not disappoint. Very organized and stocked with all the essential items needed. Great location easy access to the beach, with amazing views from every deck.

Great Vacation Spot

The house was clean, comfortable and ideally situated. The kitchen was very well appointed. We enjoyed a family get together just steps from the beach. Easy access to San Luis Pass too. We would definitely book this home again!

Amazing and Relaxing

It was the most relaxing way to spend our anniversary. The fact that this house is so close to the beach makes it amazing. We took our two little pups who had a great time. The views were absolutely lovely.

Amazing views

This property exceeded our expectations. The views from every room are spectacular! Just a short walk to access miles and miles of shell-speckled beach. Very comfortable mattresses, plush towels and bedding and very well-equipped kitchen.

Lovely Small Getaway

Well kept and clean home, perfect for a couples getaway! Even with mosquitoes prohibiting us from “beaching it up” in September, we had lovely views of the ocean from screened in balconies on all sides of the home. Highly recommend! We will certainly book here again!

Very good rental if you’re bringing pets and want something affordable in this neighborhood. Cleanliness was top notch. Some wear and tear but that’s expected near the beach! Our only downfall was the ramp, it was a little steep trying to get a baby carrier up and down. Overall I would recommend and stay again!

Family spring break trip

The house was nice. It had plenty of decks and space for my family to spread out. Loved the decks the most. The only draw backs was the huge ramp to the first floor. We would stay again.

Wonderful stay close to the beach!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was lovely, easy to find, and close to the beach. The beach was not crowded at all same quite clean. You are a bit farther out from restaurants and groceries, but we brought plenty of supplies. The only downside of the stay were the mosquitos so we highly recommend wearing insect repellent. Highly recommended overall!

Loved It!

Everything about this rental was perfect. The house is very clean, nicely decorated, with a well equipped and organized kitchen. The area is quiet and a short walk to a nice beach. Communication with management company is excellent. We loved our stay here.

One of the nicest, cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in. The kitchen was not only well stocked but everything was labeled making it easy to locate what was needed. Great location and while yes, there is a house being built next door, you really only lose the view from bed. All 4 balconies have great views as does the living room. There was enough space for everyone to relax. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect house for a beach getaway!

The house is really nice! It’s a little walk to actually get to the beach since they moved the beach access. Was perfect for our family of 5! Make sure you bring extra blankets and lots of trash bags! The ice machine never re filled so bring ice! We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home

Cannot say enough positive things about the home itself! It was beautiful, clean, had every convenience! The book (awesome idea) helped us with any questions we had including how to access the beach and where to take our trash! The only negative of our trip at all was all the gosh darn mosquitos if you book here (and you absolutely should) take lots of bug spray!

Home away from home

This is our 2nd time staying and we absolutely love it. We plan on returning again next summer. Our only complaint is that the new house next-door has so..many outdoor lighting that it totally ruined sitting on the screened in deck at night and watch the stars. Don't understand why they have too have that many porch lights on.

Peaceful haven with great views!

We loved staying at this property. Very nicely decorated and decks/views galore. The 2 screened porches were a haven from any unwanted insects (not that we saw too many) and offered a little extra privacy. A very short walk (about 3 houses away) from beach access. We used some portable carts to get belongings up the ramp and spent all but sleeping time outside. No problems and would definitely do it again. Kristi, our property manager contact was awesome as well!

Unfortunately, our stay was not a pleasant experience.For the first two days, we had to deal with a malfunctioning air conditioning system. The extreme heat made the situation especially difficult for my 75-year-old mother and our two young children. We were eventually offered the option to move to another property. While we appreciated the effort, relocating in the middle of our vacation after already settling in was highly inconvenient, particularly with an elderly family member and young children. Nevertheless, we chose to move because staying in the original property was simply not feasible.At the second property we encountered another major issue—the refrigerator and freezer were not cooling adequately. We reported the problem multiple times and were repeatedly told that it needed time to cool because it had recently been restarted and was heavily stocked. However, the issue never improved.This was particularly challenging because my mother and children do not eat restaurant food. My wife had prepared and brought all of their meals from home specifically for this trip. On Monday, 2 days after the move, we were told that a contractor had been notified, but no one ever came to inspect or repair the refrigerator. As a result, I had to purchase ice and store our food in a cooler to prevent it from spoiling.Overall, our stay was disappointing. We spent much of our vacation dealing with maintenance issues instead of enjoying our time with family.

We are truly sorry your vacation was overshadowed by not one, but two unexpected maintenance issues. We completely understand how difficult it was to manage these situations with your mother and young children, and that is certainly not the experience we wanted for your family. The AC failure at the original home was an unexpected breakdown, and when it became clear it could not be resolved quickly enough, we offered a move to another property so your vacation could continue in a comfortable environment. We know packing up and relocating mid-stay is far from ideal, and we appreciate your patience in doing so. Unfortunately, after the move, the refrigerator at the second property also experienced an unexpected failure. While this review appears on the first home's listing, it actually reflects issues that occurred across two different properties. It was an incredibly unfortunate set of circumstances that we rarely encounter, and we sincerely regret that your family experienced that "double whammy." Following the recent storms, our island experienced power outages and electrical fluctuations that can be especially hard on HVAC systems and appliances. While that doesn't lessen the inconvenience you experienced, it does help explain why these unrelated failures occurred so close together. We are happy to report that both the air conditioning system at the first home and the refrigerator at the second home have since been repaired and are operating properly.
