The property is exactly as the pictures show. The ground floor has a separate bedroom where my son, wife and baby slept, a sitting area with sofas that convert into beds - my 18 year old son slept in there, a small kitchenette, laundry room, toilet, and a rustic shower area. Up the winding staircase there is a large lounge area, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Outside decking had two tables, plenty of wooden chairs, loungers, charcoal bbq, and lighting.
Everywhere was well cleaned and maintained. Little additions like plenty of towels, beach towels and mats made our stay more comfortable. Lee and Kim were great to deal with and very responsive to the couple of questions that we had on arrival.
This was our first time to Surfside and we definately enjoyed the beach, and our time at Kismet. I would recommend this house to you if you need to accommodate a large family, or even two or three smaller families could easily fit. If you haven't been to Surfside, it is a lovely beach. Remember though that as there is nothing much to do around there, take your own entertainment. The house itself has a selection of movies on dvd and tvs in every room, along with a number of board games. We also took games and balls, skim boards etc for on the beach. The sea was cool so not many people were in it but the weather was hot and we got a little tan or burn - at the end of March! Praise the Lord for Texas weather!
We did not eat out while we were there so can't comment about the food but there are a few restaurants close by, with one being a short walk down the beach. We would have probably eaten there if we did go out as it is right on the beach.
