Escape to serenity in this charming home nestled above Oak Creek. Located in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon, this picturesque retreat offers the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience, just a short drive from Sedona’s vibrant arts scene and outdoor adventures.

The sound of the creek gently flowing right outside your door creates an inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding or soaking up nature’s beauty. With spacious outdoor living areas, a cozy fire pit, and easy access to hiking trails, you’ll find plenty of ways to immerse yourself in the beauty of this canyon paradise.

The Space:

3 Bedrooms, 2 1/2 Bathrooms – ideal for families, couples, or small groups
Upstairs is the Master Bedroom with a King Bed. Bathroom has a walk in shower with dual shower heads.
Downstairs 2 Bedrooms, each with Queen Beds. Downstairs bathroom is a shower/bath tub combo. Two sinks.

Being located on the creek, please keep in mind, oak creek rises with incremental weather. Our home sits high above the creek so it won't flood the property. There are times our bridge is impassable, typically in spring with snow run off, but can also happen in the winter with a warm storm. Please do not attempt to cross in high water.

**We are positioned on two lots (1/2 acre), which has two homes on this property. We occasionally are at the bardominium (garage) next door when we are not traveling. We share a common gate to the property. You may or may not see us. Please do not park on concrete driveway in front of the bardo, so we can get into our space.

Great Location

The property is charming and close to Sedona and other activities. The picture of the house is somewhat misleading as it shows the whole house, and basically, you have the underside of the house and a makeshift kitchen. The two-bedroom basement portion is very nice and comfortable. The host was very accommodating and full of information.

Happy Stay

Check in and Cleanliness was great. The only thing we noticed was the listing mentioned a hot tub but there is no useable hot tub. Everything else was wonderful including the property manager communication.

Perfect, beautiful, and peaceful space for a family getaway

This was the perfect place for my family to spend the holiday. The house is in a great location, located in a gorgeous canyon and just a mile from Slide Rock State Park. It is spacious and accommodated our family of six adults wonderfully.

Excellent, well-kept home in a beautiful location.

We stayed at this property for a week, and could not have been happier with our choice. The home was in excellent shape, and had everything we needed. There were no surprises, and check-in was a breeze. The location in Oak Creek Canyon is beautiful. Nothing negative to report at all.

Charming and peaceful retreat

First, I'd like to thank the owners for providing detailed instructions on the location and operation of the home. The home is very comfortable and can easily accommodate 8 people. The floor plan is spacious with two living rooms where the kids can hang out and play on the giant bean bags downstairs and the adults can enjoy a conversation upstairs or on the giant balcony patio. A hot tub dip after a day of exploring was a very pleasant surprise! The home is located in one of the best parts of the canyon just minutes from town and about 2hrs from the Grand Canyon. We had a great time exploring the creek that runs behind the home. And you are just minutes from several fantastic hiking trails. If we ever make it back to Sedona, we will definitely stay here again! For reference, we stayed in May 2017. This is a perfect time of year to visit Sedona. Cool in the mornings, but warms to mid 70's during the day. No rain!

Reunion with childhood friends

The location along with the great feeling of a home, left the impression and inspiration of one of the most memorable trips we have had. It was like magic listening to the creek and the wind thru the trees. It's definitely worth a repeat visit.

Relaxing vacation home with everything you need!

My family came from different parts of the country to spend a long weekend in Sedona. Doc's Shangri-La was a perfect spot to relax with family - the main level is an open floor plan with an awesome deck and hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - there was enough rooms and privacy for everybody. Lots of amenities with this house!! The house is very nicely done and located in a secluded area within Oak Creek Canyon. We had a lot of fun exploring and it was only a short drive to restaurants and state parks. Highly recommend Slide Rock State Park which is only a mile away!

The perfect spot.

We had a wonderful week in Sedona staying at Oak Creek Canyon. The house was very spacious for two families and everything worked perfectly. We enjoyed the hot tub and back deck for reading. The kids also loved the bean bag chairs. The drive into town was about 10 minutes for dinning and 15 minutes for hiking. Overall, we were very happy and would stay again in the future.

Comfortable, relaxing home!

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We stayed with our dog and two children. The kids loved the downstairs area with the piano, bean bags, and board games. They also enjoyed taking the dog for walks by the creek. One of the best parts about this home is the patio/ deck. We grilled almost every evening and enjoyed the hot tub afterwards. Another great thing about this house is the large windows and great lighting in the living room area and master bedroom. It offers great views of the canyon walls. The home was clean, and well stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and paper products. I definitely recommend this home as a base camp for your Sedona adventures. It's great for families and couples looking for a quiet get-a -way.

Perfect Spot for family or quiet getaway

We spent 5 nights in Oak Creek Canyon for my mother's 60th Birthday and this property was a perfect fit for our family! The kitchen and outdoor grill were perfect as we cooked at the house almost every night. The hot tub was a perfect way to wind down the day after a hike or bike ride. The neighborhood was super quiet despite being Memorial Day Weekend and had plenty of room for the six of us. The house was spotless and the owners were a pleasure to work with. Oak Creek Canyon is a bit off the beaten path but still easy access to all the sights of Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Would highly recommend for a family trip or quiet getaway!

Great stay at this property nested in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The house was very clean and very comfortable and had all the amenities you need to have a good time (barbecue, spa, great view, large comfortable sofa in the living room, wifi -connection is good enough to check your emails not enough to stream netflix- even a piano...). The kitchen was really nice and had everything you need if you're a serious cook. We stayed there with our three children (4 to 12 years old) and my in-laws and everyone enjoyed it. The instructions from the owner were clear and practical. The house is located in the middle of Oak Canyon in the middle of the trees only 10 minutes by car from downtown Sedona and 15 minutes from most hiking trails. The only cons I see are that the house is located close to a busy road and you can hear the cars from the terrace so despite the pretty secluded location this is a noisy reminder that civilization is never far... Also you have to cross the river through a low bridge to get there and it might get flooded when it rains, potentially getting you stuck on either side of the bridge for a few hours. If you're on a schedule you might want to considerer it depending on which season you're going.This has not happened to us but we got a little worried because it started raining on the day we left, luckily the water hand't risen too high when we left. These are the only reasons why I am not giving a 5 stars rating. We would certainly recommend this property to our friends or stay there again!

Quiet, Clean

Family get away in Oak Crek Canyon.

LOVED LOVED LOVED this property. We stayed here and loved the property. 3 adults and 3 children (6, 10, 17). We were here for 4 nights. The neighborhood is excellent and quiet. The neighbors across the way were very friendly. The private road to the pocket of homes was an added touch. The home had the out in the middle of know where feel yet close to why you go to the Sedona area. We enjoyed an amazing thunderstorm our last night. This home was plenty big enough to keep everyone happy and busy. The back deck was perfect to relax on and the couch inside was so comfy sometimes it was hard to get off of it. The younger children loved that the house had satellite TV. The downstairs room was really big and our youngest ones loved to use it. We grilled out every night. The kitchen was roomy and the refrigerator was plenty big enough for all of our food. The easy drive to Sedona was perfect as we went there every day. On the weekend Slide rock was tricky to get into as they blocked left hand turns into the park. We had to go into the canyon a bit and turn around. No big deal just a heads up. Also the park opens at 8 am and at 9:15 we got one of the last 2 parking spots there. The homes large front window could use a window treatment of some sort for when you want to keep the sun out. Pulling out of the private road onto 89A can be tricky as some people like to drive too fast and it is a slight blind curve to your left as you pull out. We will be doing this trip again and this house will be our first choice. My only regret is that we did not stay for an entire week.

Oak Creek Canyon Home

We stayed at this home for three nights with our two children. The home was perfect for our family. The kids loved the two rooms downstairs and playing in the beautiful front yard. My husband and I loved the big deck on the top level and the hot tub. Amazing views out of every window! The home is in a cute neighborhood that we loved to walk around in. Everyone was friendly! Minutes from slide rock and Sedona. The perfect get away!!

We have the best neighbors in a very small quiet community. The creek is right off the hill and we love hanging out there. This property is the perfect distance from the hustle in Uptown, just 7 miles. Quiet dark sky in our less than 25 neighbors.
