Photography cannot capture the magic of this stay! It faces a grand cathedral on its courtyard and old cobblestone streets, closed to thru car traffic. 2 lovely cafes near the door leading upstairs to the apartment. In the heart of the city, everything is picturesque. The room with a view is dreamy, thick stone walls and floors, windows with wooden shutters to keep out the sun, subtle decor, modern accommodations, and a combo of fans and a/c units to cool it down when you're there in the summer. You are staying in the old urban core, but once inside it is quiet, home with elegance and artistic details that you don't find at the average B&B. I appreciated the coffee station & kitchen, nice beds and linens, sitting areas, the view...Jean has a system in place to check in and leave easily and supplies understandable instructions that were thorough and detailed. He is pleasant & available, even when we misplaced keys, causing him inconvenience and hassle, which was our error. He requires shoes off indoors and provides a shoe rack at the front door, which is something that I have tried to get my family to do forever! Though we had great weather, we easily complied.Being on the top floors of this very old building, stairs are required to get there, so it is up and down every time to come and go. Some may need to consider if it is doable. My fitness improved walking Europe & I am thankful! Some cookware was old nonstick, a minor thing that could improve for health.
