Great Host and Wonderful Property

My family and dog enjoyed our stay at the Rivershore Retreat. Janie was readably available in communication and/or responsive in a timely manner. The property was quiet, well kept inside and out, and had nothing but excellent cleanliness and hospitality. It is much better in person than what a picture can depict. The property owner family is respectable and genuinely cares about their home, guests, and neighborhood. Great people, home grown environment, and feels like family. The home was beautiful, the grounds are well taken care of and the scenery and river access is phenomenal. Great place to stay and I would definetly visit again!

Amazing

The home was great. Using the boat ramp allowed access to excellent fishing and a nice cruise to oriental by boat. Any grocery, shopping, and restaurants are a little drive but well worth the peace and quiet.

AWESOME SPOT

We had such a great stay. Beautiful spot. the yard was huge and our Great Dane had so much fun running around. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the secluded beach down the road so our dog could run. Will be going back next year!

The view

This place has the best porch, with the best view. Second time staying and the porch swing was awesome. Great yard for the kids to play in, so quiet. Absolutely love it!

The property had a wonderful view and beach vibe. Quiet and serene surroundings. We all loved everything about it. The Host was very helpful with information and answering our questions regarding restaurants and attractions. We loved the front porch and actually ate all our meals on it. would definitely recommend it as a place to stay and visit again.

Perfect on the water

We had a great time! Clean and comfy space. The screened in porch with a swing is the perfect place to hang out and enjoy the view.

Hot Days Of Summer We had a good trip. Very hot most days. Great view of the river.

It is a ways out,but private area. Great views of river. We filled hummingbird feeder. We had 5-7 most days. Swing on screened in porch,loved it. Clean,everything you really need. Except for your food. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed staying there. It was very quit

.The fish was awesome. There was a dock right by the house and there is a place right there that you can leave your boat all week and you can sew it from the house. One thing I love the most is that it is PET friendly.

Truly a secluded hideaway

We really had a great stay. The property is lovely, secluded and super quiet. The hosts were very communicative and super nice about altering our stay when we had a change of plans. Our dogs loved romping in the yard and playing in the water. I will say that the expectations for cleaning were not clear in the listing. I don't mind tidying up after myself, but doing all the laundry and making the beds was not explained in my initial view of the property. Honestly didn't damage my view of the place. We would recommend, just budget the time it takes to wash and dry all the laundry before you leave!

Nice clean and very convienient location for fishing!

Great place to stay. Quiet and peaceful! Boat ramp and small dock onsite. Cant wait to come back next year!

South River

Trailer needs updates to the floor. The view and water access are both great. There was plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. "No hustle or bustle" was expected, but.....we were unaware of the red drum tournament. The neighbors all had boats join them and theirs, which led to alot of traffic and boats in and out of the area for 4 of our 7 days. We would stay again just not during 2nd week of August. FYI, the really nice beach in the photos is only accessible by kayak or real small boat due to the shallow sand bars.

Boonies..

Though it's like 30 minutes or so from nearest store, it's great.peace and quiet.beautiful clear view of water. Water was a bit choppy for the men on the boat.but they caught a few fish.the screened in front porch is where we spent alot of time .i even took a nap on the wicker couch it was comfy lol.when I say boonies I mean it.u away from everything out there.it rained heavy on our last day.so it dampened my plans to explore downtown Beaufort area.but we will be back.

Clean quiet place, perfect for what we were looking for, boat ramp and dock on site. Watching the eagles and 4 otters from the front porch kept the kids to occupied for hours!

Excellent experience

Janie was an excellent host. Everything was exactly as described, clean and ready for us. Communications was excellent and she was one of the best travel guidance we ever had while on vacation. Will definitely book this place when we go back for deep-sea fishing.

Much needed peaceful disconnect from this hectic world.

This vacation was like a step back in time to my childhood on the farm, with the added benefit of riverfront living! My boys and I had a great time on our boat every morning catching fish for our fishfry. Most evenings the whole family went on an evening sunset cruise. I would reccomend this property for anyone needing to disconnect from the hectic life. The owners and neighbors were all very friendly and helpful. I hope to go again very soon!

Great place to get away

We had a great time, it is very quiet and peaceful here. We brought our boat with us and enjoyed going fishing and to the beaches every day. We also enjoyed the kayaking, the kids really loved it. The Masons were very helpful and great to deal with.

Peaceful property

We enjoyed our 6 days here. A very nice area to kayak and fish in. Took owner's recommendation of fishing charter and were very pleased with them (Noah's Ark Charters). Followed owner's directions to "beach you can drive to in 5 minutes" - a nice little spot for the kids to swim. Used the comfortable front porch a lot; thank goodness it was screened in. Owner was extremely helpful and easy to deal with. Property was nice and clean. However, a few improvements are needed: None of the mattresses were close to firm. My son is a restless sleeper and the twin mattress was so "springy" that it actually moved and came off the bed overnight. He gave up and put it on the floor to sleep. Those beds cannot be slept on by adults. The shower for the non-master bath is pretty crappy and the kids ended up using ours - the master bath is very nice. Finally, the wifi in that twin bedroom is non-existent, although it worked relatively well in the living room and master (where the router is, the other end of the home). I don't want to make this a negative review, because we really did enjoy our stay. I took off only one star because the price for the property was very good.

So relaxing

Our kids declared this “the best vacation ever”. Rental was clean, owner very responsive. We enjoyed their kayaks and canoe each evening. We even saw dolphins one night! Can’t wait to visit again.
