We were very disappointed with the overall condition of the home. Upon arrival, it was clear the house had not been cleaned at all after the previous guests. There was an unpleasant musty odor throughout, and during my stay, we also encountered a mouse inside the house, which was extremely unsettling.Our first night was essentially lost due to the time and effort required to clean the property before it was usable. We had also messaged the host, prior to our check-in date with some questions about the property and noone responded. After reporting the issues upon arrival directly to VRBO, as we could not get in touch with the host/property manager, the host sent the maintenance man to help us clean, which we appreciated. Don, property manager, later sent a message through VRBO apologizing and issued a small refund, but his overall communication was poor. We were disappointed that Don did not call us directly to apologize or discuss the situation in a more personal and professional manner.Given the overall condition of the property, inability to reach property manager and the lack of accountability from management, we cannot recommend this rental. We hope the owner takes the necessary steps to improve cleanliness, maintenance, and communication for future guests.

Roomy ranch with Beautiful river views, situated in a quiet neighborhood on a dead end street. It was just our style. Gorgeous sunrises. Evenings watching people fish on the river. We appreciated the generous seating in the livingroom. And the screened porch was a bonus. We had a wonderful time.

Location excellent for activities along the Crystal Coast and Morehead city area. Property was as advertised and in a quiet neighborhood with none disturbing neighbors. Excellent response to cleaning and service request to the Property manager resulting in a very smooth check in and check out procedure. Check in/out procedures should be describe some in the message/e-mail on using the property manager access number for direct check-in/out procedures.

Birthday getaway

It was a nice house and it was on the waterway. However we did encounter water issues. We had no hot water while staying there. The water would start hot and immediately turn cold in the showers. That was the main problem we encountered. We did see a few cleanliness issues but our main concern was the water.

Quick getaway

Property was pretty much as described. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful views and very spacious. Just a few cleanliness issues(nothing horrible) overall we had a very enjoyable time and loved the property and location.

Peaceful Abode

We stayed at the Sunrise over North River Beaufort House for 10 nights at the end of April to the beginning of May. We had two adults, a pet and a service dog in our party. We were grateful to have a peaceful location with all the amenities of home. The updated main living areas are very nice. The TV, recliners, and view out the sliding glass door were a nice retreat from hectic days.One thing we enjoyed was spotting wildlife and sunrises. The home is filled with tasteful reminders of life on the waterfront.

Incredible views.

Incredible views. Great location. Beds were comfortable. House was so-so. Not as clean as others I have stayed in. After a 3 day road trip, the home was not ready when we arrived, so we ended up staying in a hotel the first night in Beaufort. Cleaning crew came the next morning and we were able to move in. We did not try the jacuzzi tub, but it looked nice. Furniture was very tired and uncomfortable. Kitchen cabinets were unorganized. I had to empty and organize pots and pans in order to cook a meal. Home smelled musty. In spite of some negative issues, we had a great time in this lovely area.

What a view!

The trip is worth it just for the view of North River. Roomy house, lovely screened porch. Harkers Island and Beaufort/Morehead areas very accessible.

Labor Day with friends

This home filled the bill of a one level spacious and quiet home for 2 couples. Screened in porch was extra nice. Rooms were super quiet and location was perfect. Quick access to Morehead and Beaufort.

Great space, quiet neighborhood

Plenty of space, great air conditioning, screened in porch, quiet neighborhood, no problems with internet, easy to get to downtown Beaufort and Atlantic Beach, also great to have a washer/dryer.

Very relaxing

We needed a quiet, peaceful getaway and Kathy and Jack's home on the river was the perfect place. Felt very comfortable, cozy and homey but spacious. Very close to downtown Beaufort and not far from Morehead city/Atlantic Beach.

We live near Charlotte, NC on the waters of Lake Norman and are blessed to have two vacation homes - "BeaufortHouse" in Beaufort, NC and "KingsView" in Blowing Rock, NC. As our children grew up and moved away, we began offering both houses to vacationers so others could enjoy them.

My husband and I travelled up and down the coast of the two Carolinas for years looking for just the right town. When we spent our first weekend in Beaufort, we knew that we had found our ideal place to have a vacation home. The town is charming and the locals are very friendly. We love the fresh seafood and the many small coastal villages nearby.
If you are looking for a place to stay that feels more like a home rather than some cookie cutter condo, look no further. The kitchen is equipped with just about anything that a cook could want, but what we love most are the spectacular sunrises over the waters of North River.
