Relaxing, Beautiful Vacation

Perfect getaway.

Great cottage for a lake stay. Josh was great and easy to work with he even texted and said we could check in early. We will stay again.

Great place

Josh is an excellent host. We had a couple silly issues and he was very patient and helpful. The cottage and lake were very nice. Beds were comfortable.

Getaway

Property was very clean, good communication with Josh. Nice centralized location to restaraunts. Lake has options, whether wanting the peacefullness of the sunset, or chances to go tubing. It was a great place to stay. Quiet neighbors.

The location, neighbors, and house was great! Bring your sunblock and umbrella since the backyard gets 12 hours of glorious sunshine.

Nice area

Very nice lake cottage,. It was well stocked in the kitchen. Plenty of outside chairs with a nice fire pit. We had no problem using the public boat ramp to use our boat. Very quiet area..

Relaxing Time

We loved the cottage. It was perfect for our family. It was clean and comfortable. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed the days on the water and enjoyed campfires at night. It is in a quiet area and the neighbors were friendly. Josh was great to work with. He responded quickly to any questions we had. Thanks for sharing your place!

Cottage on the lake

Apon arrival the furnace didn’t work nothing had been cleaned bedspread was dirty mattress cover was plastic and torn. Everywhere you looked their were mouse droppings beds, vanity, drawers, cabinets, stove mice had a field day in the storage bin with napkins and toilet paper. Needless to say we packed up and left with a full refund!

I don’t blame John for leaving a bad review. Most of my reviews over the years have been five stars. This was my first bad review. John was the first guest of this lake season after an eight month winter cottage shut down. Unfortunately, a few places were a missed during the cleaning. I offered to immediately send our cleaner over to address his concerns, but he insisted on a full refund which I did not hesitate to give him. The guest that came after him left a five star review on ABB. The areas of cleaning concerns have been addressed and will continue to be addressed. The furnace issue was due to the fact that he removed the furnace door prior to the furnace kicking on and didn’t properly reseat the door to allow the furnace to kick on.

Much Needed Relaxation

1st vacation in years for "us Grandparents". Honestly, just looking towards the western sunset made our stay excellent. My wife and I only drove a couple of hours for this stay and we would have traveled much further (if needed). Overall, it felt like a home (away from home) for us. The time flew by very fast & that helps explain how our time was very enjoyable. We liked feeling so welcome, right from the start. We had a chance to enjoy water (right out the back door)... Fishing, boating, a great sandbar (just 25 min away) by boat, a campfire & grilling out, along with all of the amenities. This place is well worth it! We have this on our "Go To" list for future stay's (for several reasons). The adults were never bored and for a bonus, the kids (under 10) were happy the whole time also. A personal area to play in the sand, lily pads & turtles out back etc. made it great for everyone. A good bit of clean, fun nature made for an exciting (yet relaxing) vacation for all. Josh was easy to deal with on everything, And we really appreciate it. Until next time, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Kerry

Great location

Convenient to all lakes in chain. Beautiful setting. House was cutely decorated. Exactly what u would expect for cottage in lake. Had everything we needed. We also rented the pontoon. The boat had mechanical issues. Josh the owner was very responsive and did everything he could to correct the problem, including sending out mechanic. Unfortunately boat couldn’t be fixed without going in to shop. I suggest if anyone is renting pontoon, have a backup boat reserved at marina. We had to scramble and get another boat and all were already reserved for Saturday but we were able to get another boat on Sunday. Josh refunded all money for boat which was great but we were there to be on water. If we couldn’t of reserved one it would of put damper on trip.

We ended up purchasing a brand new outboard motor to ensure (as much as we can) that our guests have as little issues as possible. We sure hope you’ll be back! Thanks Josh

Just as described

Spent a long weekend here with spouse and two of our children age 13 and 9 . House was just as shown in pictures . The neighbor was friendly and informative . Upon entering it does have a strong musty smell from being closed up but that resolved after opening the windows for awhile. Bedrooms have oscillating fans and comfortable beds . We only had to use the AC once to remove the humidity and that worked very well. Our first evening there we couldn't find the remote for the DVD player. We contacted Josh and he brought a new DVD player first thing the next morning. He is a very pleasant and personable host . WiFi works well . We brought our own boat and enjoyed spending the days on the chain of lakes . You can pull up to Shorts Marina and they have everything you need from drinks and food to laundry soap. We recommend trying Oscar Brown's Tavern at the golf course , food was great with reasonable prices and good service. Would recommend for your Coldwater stay.

Perfect!

clean, friendly, easy access, prompt reply to all messages! The Cottage is so lovely and fully user friendly. The lake is wonderful, clear water, sandy bottom, nice fishing. Although it was just my husband and I, it would be perfect for a family of 4! My teen girls really missed out by not going!

Awesome cottage right by the lake.

Very nice and clean cottage right off the lake. My son loved the fishing there and I could watch him right from the patio, even though he is 16, I like to keep an eye on him by the water. . My spouse and I enjoyed our time there relaxing as well ! Definitely a little getaway of the busy life at home!

Lovely cottage on the lake

Absolutely lovely cottage and surroundings. Perfect for a visit with our daughter. Even nicer than the pictures shown. The house was perfect, with a comfortable and updated great room, the outdoor space was lovely, and the lake was beautiful- and we saw adorable Frogs on lily pads, met the neighborhood dogs, and enjoyed gorgeous sunsets every night. The property owner was responsive when we had questions, and the house was perfectly cleaned and sanitized before we arrived.

Great Cottage

We had a wonderful little getaway. Our 3 year old caught her first fish off the dock and played in the sand area the whole time. The cottage was cute and clean and perfect for our family. The view of the lake and the fire pit were an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing on Long Lake

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a 3 night stay at Just Breathe Cottage on Long Lake near Coldwater, MI. Very comfortable and clean accommodations. We had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Thanks, Josh!

Direct access to the Coldwater Chain of Lakes with miles of boating, skiing, and swimming at the sand bars. 25 foot pontoon is available at your own private dock with a ladder to swim. (Pontoon is an extra cost, rates listed in the description) Nice flat yard for playing yard games. Large shade trees. Plenty of parking. Large patio facing the water with outdoor patio set with shade umbrella. Quite location with one nice quiet home to the north. No houses directly south. Quiet neighborhood to ride bikes.
