Great spot to enjoy the beach

Just a short walk away from the beach, you get to use the resort amenities, and you get a great view from your living and bed room.

Awesome Vacation!!

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful resort & condo!! The beach was gorgeous & so was our condo…everything was just as pictured & so perfect!! The staff were so friendly & accommodating & they made check in & out super easy! Cannot say enough good things about our stay & we can’t wait to return!!!

Great Trip!

We had a great time in Destin and this condo was perfect for our family of four. It has a great view and was right on the beach. They have tried to keep the condo updated. The furniture was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. Having the washer/dryer was nice. It is in the beautiful Sandestin Beach Resort area which we were so happy we chose! We got there at a perfect time, after most of the schools had gone back so the beach wasn't crazy busy. Overall it was a great vacation and we would love to come back and have this same condo!

Absolute Perfection!

Our unit was amazing! The views from the balcony and master bedroom were unbelievable. The layout of the unit was perfect. Clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed for our stay plus some! This is truely a beachfront property. Access to the beach….literally an elevator ride to the water. Would never visit the area again unless I was able to stay in this condo!! Thank you for an amazing trip! ❤️❤️❤️

Great Location

We love staying at Beach Side 1. It is our favorite place in San Destin. It is so nice that the beach in front of this building is private. It makes it so much less crowded than up and down the beach in front of other properties. At busy Fall break we had plenty of room on the beach. On the busiest day we were only 2 groups 'deep' on the beach and down the beach the chairs were stacked 4 groups 'deep'. This condo unit is very clean and well appointed. Everything is nicely decorated and comfortable. There was even a boogie board and beach umbrella for us to use. We have never stayed on the 9th floor before. Usually we are lower. However, I didn't mind being this high up. It gave a great view of the water. Would absolutely stay here again.

September Stay 2024

🔑Check In: Sent us to wrong building with wrong codes and wristbands for building two. We were exhausted from a long trip and it was late and we didn’t catch it. After a small adventure we got the new codes and the right building quickly but didn’t think about the wristbands saying building two and the check in desk did not mention it either. We wore the wrong bands for two days before being confronted by Building 1️⃣ property manager.. Check in desk delivered correct bands to our room within 30 minutes. Note: There seems to be some politics around Building 1&2 and owners and management companies and their lack of care. 🏢 Building 1️⃣ inside common areas had a strong mildew smell overall. A box fan was always going in the lobby. 🏠Unit 4092 was very clean and well appointed. Kitchen was clean and updated. Beds were VERY comfortable and I slept GREAT!! The unit also smelled like mildew when we first arrived. Mildew smell may be due to past rains and a rainy week from Francine and the carpet walk way outside to get to all the rooms was always wet .I am mentioning this for individuals that may have allergies . I had to use my inhaler several times and came back with a cough. A tad of mildew stains in the bathroom shower ceilings . 🏖️ Views were FANTASTIC!!! Amenities were wonderful. Pool area was always kept and attractive. Overall we loved our stay and I would give it a go again in a dryer time which may make a difference in the dampness and the smell I mentioned.

Pros & cons: clean, great view, awful management

We’ve gone through VRBO and had several great stays in Sandestin with no issues until this one - managed not individually but by the main “resort”, which was a mistake. The check in directions were not helpful, as they vaguely said to “check in at welcome center” and the address just takes you to the middle of the main road. No further instruction on how to get to beach or pool but it was easy enough to find. Getting into the pool or on the beach was another issue, the gate codes didn’t work, and the resort wasn’t answering the phone, mailbox was full as well. My husband drove over to the welcome center and someone said they’d look into it and call us back. They never did. Other guests gave us their code to the pool and beach, which worked. The pool was “under maintenance” one day, the sign didn’t say what was wrong or when it would be fixed. Same issue as with the gate code - couldn’t get anyone on the phone from the resort, drove over, employee said they’d find out and call us, never did. The room itself was very clean but needed updating and basic toiletries. No paper towels, dish soap, or sponge. Very old coffee maker with cheap coffee (didn’t use), old blender and toaster. I would stay in this building again given the great location but not if managed by the Sandestin resort.

VRBO does not disappoint

I'm very used to staying at this property. There were two issues that should have been better represented on the site. Many of the free rentals were no longer available after Labor Day. Secondly the construction on Beachside 2 is very extensive and created quite a bit of noise for those on the beach. All in all the experience was very enjoyable however.

Sandestin Peaceful Place

The views of the ocean and beach from this condo are amazing! We recently enjoyed a months stay at this condo. The heated pool and hot tub are beautiful and relaxing. Security at this building is a plus. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is nice but the dryer needs to be replaced. This was reported to the management. Otherwise, this condo and facility were amazing!

Excellent accomodations

This unit was clean and modern. It was right on the beach, with incredible beach views from the living room, balcony, and master bedroom. Beachfront access is most important to our family when we travel, so this place was perfect. The only suggestion we had was for the owner to stock the kitchen with a few more basics- we had to run to the store for things like paper towels, napkins, coffee filters, and a dish sponge. But overall, we had a wonderful stay, and would definitely stay here again!

Best Family Vacation

Best family vacation! Went to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday! Sandestin Resort was a amazing! Only fault was our codes wouldn’t work at first ! Got those fixed also the pool area for Beachside 1 is getting a total remodel so didn’t have a pool .. the shuttle service takes a long time about 20 mins! But overall was a great stay and condo has an amazing view! Definitely would stay here again !

Perfect family vacation

I could have sat on that balcony forever - what a gorgeous view! So convenient to simply ride the elevator down and walk out to the sugar sand beach! The condo was just as pictured and even had a beach umbrella and a couple of beach chairs stashed in the closest (which was an awesome bonus since we flew). The pool isn’t a resort pool by any means but when there’s a gorgeous beach steps away, I didn’t mind much. Would definitely recommend this condo to a friend - you’ll love it!

Awesome Experience!

We came down for a long weekend to enjoy the beach and a little golf. The weather was fantastic for January and the condo was exactly what we hoped with awesome views of the sunset over the gulf every day. Everything about the place made you feel at home. It's right on the beach, but there's also a heated pool and a hot tub downstairs. The golf was great too with many highly rated courses all less than 10 miles away in addition to those at the resort itself. I totally recommend this property!
