Fantastic stay. We were only in Topeka for a couple of days to visit my 90 year old grandparents. The open floor of this home worked very well for them to get around. The kitchen and whole house has been remodeled and beautiful with lots of windows for natural light and upgraded kitchen equipment that made cooking for my family a breeze. The only suggestion I'd make would be a ramp to make it more accessible for folks that have accessibility difficulties. All in all 5 stars, would certainly recommend. As I told the host, we'll be looking for this place again for our next visit to Topeka

Family fireworks

Brandie is an awesome host. She sent the super easy check in and access process via email ahead of our stay. Having the address, door code and parking information made for a smooth arrival for all of us coming from different locations. The house has large bedrooms so everyone could spread out in their own space and come together in the living room to share meals and laughs. We were visiting family on opposite sides of Topeka so the central location of this home made for quick access to get across town. Brandie makes so many amenities available and thinks of everything to make our stay comfortable and fun. Two thumbs up!

Nice stay!

Very cozy home. Everything you need is available for a nice stay. Owners very responsive when we reached out to ask about using the fireplace. They are working on having it repaired for use. Very friendly owners. We’d rent there again.

Convenient stay from Stormont Vail Event Center

We stayed at this house during a 4 day horse show. It was super convenient, clean and comfortable! We had more than enough room for 2 teens, an 11 year old and 3 adults. I was a little concerned about the driveway parking for our large vehicles, but there was more than enough room right across the street. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time we're in town. Thank you!

Very comfortable

Loved it !!!! My father, cousin & I were all very comfortable There was room for others too. TV’s were confusing but the bedrooms tv we’re pretty easy to watch. I felt like I was staying inside of history beautifully decorated.

Hey guys, I'm Brandie!
I was born in the '70s and recently decided to slow down my horse show career to stay at home more with my two younger sons and husband.
In the past, I spent 42 weeks on the road per year, giving me lots of experience staying at vacation rentals while horse showing. This gave me great insight to understand what people want (or don't want!) while traveling for vacation and/or work. I've started this new chapter to help with income while I spend more time with the kiddos and I love decorating! So this really isn't work for me.
I'm a 3rd generation Topekan so I can tell you all the good places to go. I look forward to help make your stay in the midwest wonderful!

More information
The neighborhood began in 1880 as a place for professors and staff at Washburn University to live and has transformed into a neighborhood that has a tradition of preserving its history. .Walking distance to Washburn University, coffee shops, restaurants and bars.

Boswell Square Park is a wonderful part of the neighborhood, there is a little something here for everyone.

Located just north of Washburn University’s beautiful campus, College Hill is a historic neighborhood with a mixture of American Four-square, Victorian, Georgian Revival and Craftsman homes. College Hill is home to some of Topeka’s favorite local restaurants and businesses near Washburn Avenue.

The College Hill Fourth of July activities include a neighborhood parade, turtle races and other activities and finishes up with free ice cream sandwiches in the Boswell Park.
