Every morning started the same, I would wake up, brew some coffee, plop down on a chair, and look out at the ocean. Usually my wife and kids would join me shortly after I woke up, but that solitary time spent staring at the serene view of surf crashing into rock, that's what I think about when I need to unwind.
My family and I stayed at this spectacular retreat for two weeks over the summer of 2014. It had all the features you could want from a beach house. It had tons of bedrooms, which came in handy when my daughter asked if her boyfriend could come on the trip. Robby had a fine time sleeping in a completely separate apartment-style room. I could see that room coming in handy for any renters that want to bring friends, but want their friends, or family, to have a space of their own.
The ease of access to the beach was also a huge advantage. Even staying a block from the ocean can be burdensome, having to drag and haul all your stuff across the PCH is never enjoyable. Thankfully a quick hop down the private stairs was all that was necessary here. My family must have walked up and down the stairs a hundred times in the time that we stayed there, and I wish we could walk them a hundred more.
The owners were very accommodating, and were always quick to contact me back whenever I needed something. Their daughter, Danielle, showed us around the place, and made sure we felt like we were at home. They even told us where to find an HDMI cord when my son forgot his when he tried to setup his game console. Overall they were excellent owners.
The close proximity to town, the convenience of beach access, and the view, oh the view, are what makes this home a terrific rental. Thanks Maureen and Bob!
