Mellow Escape near Top of the World!

Wonderful two week stay in the middle of summer, escaping the Arizona heat. Looking for value on multiple levels, this home is your answer. Phenomenal location up on the hill with ocean views, walking distance to the Top of the World trails, and 5 min ride down to town and the beachfront. Karen’s home is lovely and so very comfortable. Great deck with lovely views and mellow breezes, huge private spa oasis, fully loaded with amenities, and plenty of quiet space to work remotely. Bonus: Karen also has a lovely built in pond with tropical fish that became our best friends. :-). Winning rental on ever level!

A truly unique and vibrant experience

The home was perfect for our family of 5, plenty of room for everyone to spread out and each find our own special “zen”. Clean and well-appointed. Home is surrounded by gorgeous original art, something to discover and enjoy in every corner. A lovely stay!

Beautiful home with charm and character

The house is exactly as it is advertised. It’s a very charming place with great views. A morning cup of coffee on the balcony leaves you in great spirits to face the rest of the day. The host is wonderful. Overall, I’m very satisfied.

Incredible

Karen was an incredible host and made us feel right at home. She was accommodating when we arrived, along with being available if we had any questions during our entire stay. Her home is updated with everything. The views from the front deck are incredible day and night. The backyard jacuzzi and garden are so peaceful, especially with the waterfall being on. The home was spotless as well, you can tell everything was cleaned from top to bottom. Our stay was amazing, thanks to Karen and her home. We will defiantly stay at this property again, next time we come to laguna.

Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood

Had a wonderful time enjoying this lovely home in the hills overlooking Laguna. I enjoyed my coffee in the mornings on the outdoor deck and loved hiking the many nearby trails in and around Laguna. The jacuzzi was really fun and the home provided us with plenty of enjoyment. Thank you Karen.

a perfect Thanksgiving

My family spent Thanksgiving at Karen's wonderful home. We really enjoyed our visit. Everything we needed and more was there, and Karen could not have been a finer host. The house has lovely views, expansive decks with ocean view, and multiple common rooms for extended family to subdivide among the most extroverted to least extroverted members. While a group enjoyed conversation and music in the Zen Den, another group worked puzzles in the great room and yet another played rollplay games in the dining room. Everyone had their space! The bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed, as were the bathrooms. It was great to have a washer/dryer too. We cooked a lot and enjoyed the kitchen as well. We'll miss the fish (especially Spot--he was the favorite), as well as Karen's warm hospitality. Thank you, Karen, for a special holiday!

Beautiful Laguna Beach

We loved our time at Karen’s property in beautiful Laguna Beach. The house was fun, comfortable and beautiful. The views are spectacular as well! We enjoyed using the spa and grill for our 4th of July celebration with a few friends and had a wonderful stay with our new baby. Karen was so sweet and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property if you’re wanting to visit the area.

Laguna Beach Sanctuary is a paradise for families!

Laguna Beach Sanctuary is a paradise for families! We had some of the most memorable moments in a long time. The house is located perfectly just above town and is easy to get to the beach or Top of the World Park. What a nice luxurious escape for my family. The house has beautiful art in every room along with ocean views and the backyard has a tropical waterfall rock Jacuzzi that the kids loved to splash around in during the day. The house is perfect for large families with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs with 2 entertainment floors I between, so it was peaceful and quiet for all. Let’s not forget the koi fish in the entrance to greet us. The gourmet kitchen was spectacular to cook in also, AND the views are breathtaking. I highly recommend LAGUNA BEACH SANCTUARY for families to come together anytime!

Perfect

Karen's house in Laguna Beach could not have been any better. We were visiting our son and his fiancé for Christmas and we thought renting a home would be a better choice their were five of us and we needed four rooms and a bigger space for our family to celebrate the Holidays, it turned out perfect. We would rent Karen's home again when we are in the area. We absolutely recommend this Beautiful home. Thanks

House, Views and Host Exceptional

This multilevel Laguna Beach hillside home was perfect for my family and me. With bedrooms on the top and ground level there was plenty of room for the five of us. The two "living" levels gave us all plenty of room to relax. The home is spacious, fully equipped and beautifully decorated! The wrap around deck offered plenty of beautiful views, day and night. With lounge chairs for sunning, tables with chairs for eating/drinking and an umbrella for a little shade it was my girls' favorite spot to hang. Another deck level came furnished with an umbrellaed table for eating, gas grill and and the incredible stone jacuzzi with waterfall. Another fave spot with the girls! All this at "home" and you're only 5 minutes away from Laguna's restaurants, shops and beaches. In a word, perfect! My review wouldn't be complete without a couple words about our host. Karen is great! She was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Very friendly, fun and full of information about the area. She made us feel very much at home!

Stunning Views. Amazing House.

Karen's home is architecturally stunning, a multilevel design that takes account of the home's hillside perch and the magnificent views of the ocean. We were graced with unlimited visibility, a view of Catalina Island and fiery sunsets. The house is roomy, afforded plenty of space for our family gathering, and with the multilevel layout gave each of us a sense of privacy when we retired for the evening. The kids loved the downstairs bedrooms. Karen herself is a pleasure to deal with. She's pleasant, straightforward, and helpful. We'll be back!!

The Greatest Experience of our Lives!!!

WOW!!! Our party had an AMAZING time over the 7 days we were at Karen's property in Laguna Beach!!! Let me first start out by saying that the pictures on the website simply do NOT do this house justice! We had the amazing fortune to spend 7 days/nights at Karen's Laguna Beach oasis and it was worth every single penny. The home is massive: The living/great room (which provides a view to the ocean that is stunning) can probably seat an army of people and is surrounded by huge glass windows that allow you to see everything. The entry is huge and the kitchen is superb with Viking appliances everywhere...monster-sized fridge, pantry space to store enough food to feed an army and the "Zen Den" right off the kitchen allows you to relax in style but stay connected to what is going on in the kitchen. The bedrooms (yes, again!) are GREAT with tons of space...and with views to die for!!! The master shower is larger than our entire bathroom here in Maryland...no joke! The deck literally stretches from off the Zen Den around to the upper level off the great room/living room and we spent every morning and night up there enjoying morning coffee or catching the insane sunsets. Now to the Piece de Resistance: The hot-tub with grotto/patio/bar-b-que area off the Zen Den. Just beautiful...patio table with seating for many (with plenty of other space for using other deck chairs) and a massive bar-b-que. We spent just about every evening out there relaxing, bar-b-que'ing and just chilling - we loved the seating in the hot tub which wrapped around the entire unit with the waterfall and it gets really hot as well which was perfect for one or two chilly nights. In a word, the entire experience was just sublime...I am out of superlatives at this point, really. I also want to mention how AWESOME Karen is as well. The entire experience with her was exactly what we expected and she is beyond accommodating. We also really enjoyed a number of pieces of her artwork that hang around the home. I can barely draw stick figures and she has some amazingly talented pieces of art throughout all levels. There is no question that when/if we return to Laguna Beach to spend a week we will be reaching back out to Karen to get one more chance at some time in PARADISE!!! Thank you for everything Karen!!! A DREAM COME TRUE OR MY BUCKET LIST

I have always envisioned renting a house on the beach with my grandkids; I even went so far as adding that vision to my bucket list. So, in April of this year I finally decided to make my dream come true. I had spent several days searching web for the perfect beach rental. I finally came across a website called, Home Away, and came across a house in Laguna Beach. The pictures of the property were spectacular and the artwork displayed in every room was captivating. I immediately fell in love with the place. I rented the house for a week in the month of June. When we arrived we found that the pictures on the Home Away website didn’t do the place justice; it was gorgeous. The house was grandiose, it’s five stories high and very artistically furnished; it is literary, “On Top of the World”. Every room of the house is stunning and you can see the ocean from every bedroom window: the views were breathtaking. There’s a Rock Jacuzzi that was amazing; we spent a lot of in it and on the deck overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is huge and the pantry was very well stocked. The main bathroom was ginormous; I had to stand on my tippee toes, just to wash my face and brush my teeth. The shower was larger than my desk at work and had showerheads on the opposite sides of the walls. There was also a Koi fish pond and my granddaughter’s job was to feed the fish daily. We also visited the beach everyday and when we were tired, it was nice to know that we would return to this fabulous house. The owner, Karen was very warm, friendly and accommodating; the perfect hostess. She even took the time to write out instructions on how to operate the Jacuzzi, the barbecue, the TV and other things. She supplied all the beach equipment, toys, etc. I also found out that she painted all the artwork in house; she is a very accomplished artist. She also had a booth at the Sawdust Festival this summer and when I visited I purchased some of her artwork. I love her work! All in all my grandkids and I had a fabulous time and we look forward to going back again. Thanks Karen for giving us the pleasure of staying in your lovely house this summer.

Laguna Beach is our annual family vacation spot

Our family has made Laguna Beach our annual vacation for the past 8 years. We have rented numerous vacation homes and Karen's home is by far our favorite. The home is absolutely beautiful with amazing ocean views. Even though the house is 4 levels the stairs are not steep which is a plus for our grandchildren as well as my 84 year old mother. The waterfall and hot tub were amazing. Karen was always available if we had any questions or needs.The home was beautifully decorated and every area of the house had a very relaxing atmosphere. The koi pond was a favorite of our grandchildren who loved feeding them every morning. After our 3 weeks stay we were very sad to leave. It says a lot that we would not hesitate to rent this home again.

Beyond expectations!

Karen's home is stunning. There is an ocean view from every room. We especially loved the hot tub in the yard after a day at the beach. Karen is the best. Some of our party went to see her at the Sawdust festival and she was such a gracious host. Five stars all around.

Christmas in paradise

Our family spent an amazing eight days in Karen's home. Our three adult children and my mom joined us, and there were several nights when we entertained friends. The home is simply beautiful, and the outdoor spaces are so special. We spent as much time on the two deck levels as we did inside- even in December chill, the sun exposure on those decks made for wonderful sun bathing. The outdoor furniture is deep and comfortable. Inside, the living room with walls of windows was our gathering space, where we either played games or watched movies with everyone in a very comfortable leather seat. My personal favorite was being able to do my yoga practice while watching the ocean- everyone else's favorite was taking pictures of the breathtaking sunsets over the Pacific from the deck. We needed more room in our iCloud storage to keep all the pictures. Locally, we were minutes away from a great local market and a Whole Foods. The shops are amazing, the beaches spectacular. Knowing we had Karen's place to return "home" to was what made the stay so relaxing.
