We had a really lovely stay at this property. The garden was lovely and the kids loved it! The views from the balcony are beautiful. It was a perfect home for our family of 4 to enjoy the beach. We hope to be back!!

This is a very comfortable property located in easy reach of several beaches. Although thousand steps beach is closest, we found that Strands beach was easier to get to and friendlier for swimming. The weather was comfortable, cool by the coast, which made enjoying the patios and kitchen porch great. The house is clean and comfortable and contains all of the basics you might need. The kitchen is very functional and we were able to prepare meals in it easily.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It was so nice to sit on the deck each morning with our coffee and gaze at the ocean in the distance. The cottage is nicely furnished and very comfortable. Hope to return for a longer stay!

I enjoyed my week at this beautiful little beach cottage. The views from the back decks and kitchen are stunning. It is a short walk from the beach (though a steep one, so be prepared) and an easy drive to Dana Point and Laguna Beach. The house was well appointed with linens and beach supplies. There is no AC, which was only noticeable during the evening when the bedrooms are in direct sun. Fortunately, the evening were cool and there were plenty of fans to sleep. All in all a great home base for my week in Laguna.

A fun little property on a steep hill above Thousand Steps Beach. One very small bath. Delightful garden and a view of the ocean from the kitchen deck and bedrooms. Comfortable beds and adequately furnished. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Laguna retreat

Excellent space centrally located off PC HWY. You are surrounded by lush green patios which draw you outside for meals and conversation. 1000 steps beach is directly across the street from the neighborhood which was perfect for teens. Absolute must for Laguna travels.

Great location

A gem of a bungalow in Laguna near one of the best beaches in the area. We enjoyed our stay. The property manager was helpful and generously mailed back a charger that I left behind.

Quiet and quaint place with amazing view

My friend and I loved our stay. Check-in was easy, no issues. Location was wonderful / just a quick walk to one of the most pretty beaches. Easy access to the free trolley. Very quiet neighborhood which was nice. Among beautiful homes. Backyard is awesome! It was a bit cool while here, so I did not get to enjoy the backyard as much as I wanted. The hummingbird nest and hummingbirds hanging around was such a nice treat. They had all the amenities we needed.

South Laguna Rental

We spent our holiday at this rental and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is on top of a small hill with views of the ocean from the kitchen window and kitchen balcony. It had all the necessary Amini ties for a family of four. It is in walking distance to the 1000 steps beach. It is actually 206 steps down to beach front. It is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Laguna yet close Enough to drive or take the trolley which has a stop down the hill from the house. Just a block away there is an acquaint shopping center and a Gleason grocery store…..a bit over priced but fantastic quality. I would stay at this property again and Alexandra was very responsive.

Return to Beach Cottage

Having enjoyed our previous stay at this classic and comfortable cottage, we decided to rent it again for our annual visit to Laguna Beach. It was a familiar neighborhood and a starting point for the various activities we had planned. The highlights were the beautiful garden and balconies. We can’t wait until next year!

This cottage has occupied this enchanting property since the 1930's, initially used as a guest house for a well known east coast family. The cottage has been updated yet kept its historical charm. The garden is full of flowers, plants, and trees (including an endangered California Redwood), with a view to the ocean and ever changing Laguna Beach sunsets. While within a short walk of Pacific Coast Highway, 1000 Steps Beach, South Laguna Restaurants and a Laguna Beach Trolley stop, the property is very private and quiet. The fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill with lots of indoor and outdoor seating provides the perfect environment to enjoy your culinary skills or just an a refreshment in the shade. After looking at dozens of properties we fell in love with the tranquility, beauty and charm of this typical Laguna Beach Cottage.
