Couldn't be better!

This was the best equipped and nicest of all the Fiddler Lake resort chalets we've stayed in over the last few years. The kitchen had everything we needed, the fireplace, the hottub that fit 5 people, the giant screen TV, the comfy beds and cozy linens, the quiet and the privacy, all were super! Thanks Svetlana!

Amazing Isolation

We had an excellent time at this property. Our initial trip was for skiing but the hills closed due to COVID19. We had no shortage of things to do though. Sliding, building snow sculptures, outdoor games, walks, hot tub time, pool tournaments, games and movies. We had lots of space for everyone and an excellently stocked kitchen allowed us to eat amazing meals! Thank you for giving us a place to disconnect during this crazy time!

Wonderful Family Reunion Location

Spacious cottage with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Everything was sparkling clean, beds were comfortable and house was well-equipped. The location in the the woods was lovely especially with all the leaves in full autumn colour while we were there. Our three generations had a wonderful time. Check-in and check-out process was easy and throughout Svetlana was very easy to communicate with and prompt at answering any of our questions. Great stay!

Un chalet de grande qualité. L’environnement d’une grande beauté (automne). Tout est inclus à l’intérieur, un vrai 5 étoiles. Peu importe la température, il y a des activités pour les jeunes et moins jeunes. L’ensemble du séjour a dépassé nos attentes. Nous sommes déjà à penser au prochain séjour.

The perfect spot for a long weekend with a 3-generation family

What a delight awaited us upon arriving at chalet #43 in the Fiddler Lake Resort just outside of Ste Sauveur. Stepping inside, we were met with a magnificent open plan living/dining/kitchen space with vaulted ceilings, bright colours, a huge fireplace, and best of all, a dining table that fit all 10 of us - grandparents, parents, and four children ages 2 to 8. Svetlana was available from the first moment we arrived wth answers to our questions - we are perhaps a bit high maintenance in the sense that we know what we want and are not timid about asking for it. Everything in the kitchen worked, including the blender, toaster, four appliances, nespresso and filter coffee machines. The hot tub and the sauna were fabulous, and the area was a delight to explore with our whole family. And to top it off a pool table, foosball, and lots of toys and games. All 5 bedrooms very comfortable, 3 bathrooms fully equipped and well laid out, good quality linen and towels. We highly recommend!

Wonderful getaway spot

We’ve enjoyed many stays at different chalets at Fiddler Lake over the years and this one did not disappoint. It was very clean, and had all sorts of amenities, including a hot tub, pool table and large screen smart TV. All rooms and beds were comfortable for adults guests and the kitchen was well stocked with all we needed. Would love to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the large screened in porch and outdoor fire pit.

Très beau séjour

Nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour, le chalet est très beau et propre. Seuls petits points, il n’y a pas assez de linges à vaisselle et nous avons trouvé que l’eau du spa était trop chaude. De plus, à notre arrivée, il faisait très froid dans le chalet. Ce serait bien que le chauffage soit programmé pour une heure avant l’arrivée.

Great Getaway

Beautiful cottage with all the amenities we needed for our group of 11. Host was always quick to respond to all our inquiries/questions. I only gave 4 stars for location because although it was a beautiful area and we were not right on the lake we were disappointed to find no dock at our only lake access. There was only 1 kayak available to us so we didn’t even bother using it. Wifi was very slow as well, but overall we had a great time.

Great Place

The property was stunning with a beautiful lush forest surrounding. The only thing was the wifi and TV weren't functioning. The owners were very cooperative in responding but the wires were down and it was beyond their control. They reimbursed us a portion to compensate for our troubles. Still a great place to spend with family and freinds! Cheers

Beautiful cottage at Fiddler

Overall the house is nice and has very nice features. It would take some increased cleanliness and maintenance to make this place great. The Oven was really dirty, the BBQ doesn’t work very well, the hot tub was unusable after two days due to filter and pump issue making the water smoggy. The owners should provide dish washing liquid, dishwasher tabs, washing machine detergent and toilet paper. We did not have enough and needed to go out to buy mid week. I am confident that all these can be rectified with communication to the owner.

Hello Felicia, We are sorry about the hot tub issue, unfortunately as I’m sure you understand, sometimes these things are out of our control. About the oven, we’ll look into it because usually it’s cleaned between guests. However, the BBQ works fine, there is ALWAYS dish washing liquid (on the sink), dishwasher tabs (under the sink) and washing machine detergent tabs (on the shelf above the washer and dryer). We put a total of 13 toilet paper rolls (the additional ones are always in the cupboards under the sinks) for your 5 nights stay for 2 adults and 4 children (and you were actually more because there were at least 3 cars). In fact, after your stay, in the downstairs bathroom’s cupboards there were still 2 rolls left untouched. Thank you for your feedback, we’ll make sure the oven is properly cleaned.

Beautiful cottage but very murky waters

Cottage was nice and big. Beautiful log building with cedar finishing inside. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna. We Would have enjoyed some outdoor activities but unfortunately there was only one kayak when we showed up (we were told there would be two), and the water was so murky and full of weeds/moss that we decided to tan on the deck at the cottage (no where near water). I’m sure this would be a fantastic cottage during winter, but I would not rent it again during the summer since we did not get to swim or enjoy the other great summer activities cottages offfer. In addition, the oven was so dirty that it started to smoke up the entire cottage within seconds of putting it on so we had to cook all our food in smaller amounts and longer periods over the BBQ. When I informed our host of all these inconveniences, I was only offered an apology with no solutions, additional help fixing these problems, or compensation. We were disappointed by their customer service and their lack of interest in making our stay enjoyable.

Hello Natalie, We are sorry avout the experience you had. As I explained duting your stay,1 kayak actually got stolen. As for the lake, you asked in advance if the water was clear and i told you: “Yes you can swim in the lake, but there is no sand, it’s rocks and moss on the bottom. For the oven, you wrote to me saying that there was smoke coming out, but that you found a solution of cooking on the BBQ (which made sense to me since it was summer). I apologized for the oven, but after that until the end of your stay you did not write a word to express your unhappiness, so we assume you are satisfied. You mention that you were not able to enjoy all the ither great activities thst you usually do during summer st the cottage. What other activities? The description of the cottage is quiet clear, it mentions everything that is included, what other activities were you expecting to find? Lake, kayak, soa, ssuna, outdoor fireplace, pool table, baby-foot table, other outdoor games such as a set to play badminton. We are sorry that you left unhappy.

Mini vacation

Wonderful chalet with lots of room for everyone.. very clean nicely decorated.. very impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked up.. grounds are impeccable we saw deer and wild turkeys! Will definitely be coming back!

Very enjoyable stay

We stayed for 3 nights at this very well kept chateau. The location takes some very winding road to get to, but it's in the midst of very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Love the big dining table. The game area has ample of space to hang out. The owner was prompt and very helpful. The place is well suited for us, about 1 hr drive to mount Champlain and 1 hr to Montreal. The fiddler lake looked great and you have two private kayaks to use. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy them. It was overall a great place to stay. Thank you!
