Great Townhouse

This was a great space with attentive and responsive owners. The unit is immaculate and well kept. The location is ideal for accessing Austin. We highly recommend!

Really Nice & Comfortable place in Austin~

Sally's place was comfortable and super convenient. Nice neighborhood. Sally was easy to communicate with. The home was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked. I did alot of cooking so that was helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the place in general was well decorated and welcoming~

Lovely unit

This condo is super clean, very comfortable and has a great view in the back of a beautiful creek. We loved it!

Great for long-term stay

We stayed for over five weeks and the condo worked out well. The beds are comfortable and the property had everything we needed. Great to have off-street parking and a washer and dryer in the unit. The owner was very responsive to all our requests. We would stay here again.

Great place to stay

This remodeled townhome is in a great location with serene backyard view of a creek. Sally has gone to great lengths to anticipate her guests needs and has successfully done so. More than just a place to sleep this felt like home away from home. I also want to say I was very impressed with how quickly Sally responded to messages and questions. Great host!

Great stay!

The home is very well updated and comfortable. We found everything we needed to cook and entertain for a small group of 4. The hosts were available to answer all of our questions by text. We really enjoyed the balconies and view the trees and creek. Our dog enjoyed the yard.

Lovely property!

We had a great stay at the South Austin Retreat. Great comforts and décor. The kitchen was stocked with everything we would need to cook and entertain. Our dog loved the 2 outdoor balconies where he could soak in the sun. He also enjoyed the fenced back yard that backs up to the creek. We enjoyed the balconies for morning coffee. The backyard has loads of shade and trees. You can hear and see the squirrel jumping around enjoying themselves.

Mixed review on a nicely remodeled duplex

The response time from owner for booking was almost 24 hours, after I sent an additional email at 23 hours. The response time for other communication was delayed, sometimes more than 24 hours. The home has been lovingly renovated and there are many nice touches. It is clean and nicely stocked. It is near many local, eclectic spots, and not too far from most attractions in SW Austin. My husband and I felt very comfortable inside this older updated duplex. Occasionally we heard the neighbors, but it was not really an issue. Inside is as shown in photos. However, the main reason we rented this particular home was because they allowed pets. It is great inside for pets, as the home has vinyl planking throughout. The downside is the yard. It is on a relatively busy street and has very limited space in the front yard. Also, due to the large amount of rain lately, the weeds were pretty tall. We were able to walk across the street and up and down the sidewalk. The backyard is very shaded with no grass, and the access is under/behind the unit. We used it twice in 6 days. Fortunately we took a large flashlight for evening walks on the sidewalk. If you are looking for a long term rental, and don't have pets, I would consider this one. With pets that need a yard or place to walk, maybe not. I feel that the price we paid was over and above what should have been paid once we saw the yard and neighborhood. The street is often busy, and near a very busy cross street. Be sure and get the address and choose for yourself. Compared to other vacation homes we have rented, not a top contender.
