Great location!

Cute property and the owners were very helpful and responsive. Property had everything we needed, bikes, extra sheets and towels too. Four stars instead of five on cleanliness due to the window air conditioner needed cleaned. It was very hot in VB during our stay and the a/c unit couldn’t keep up. It was a bit hot and stuffy at night but luckily the ceiling fan and desk fan helped.

Beach Time

We enjoyed the property. Beach access was easy, and we were in close proximity to restaurants and shops. The property itself was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and quiet.

The beachside condo was so cute and had everything we needed and wanted for a relaxing stay! We loved being close to the beach and restaurants. Suzy was so responsive and gave us great recommendations for dinner and things to do!

The Beach

Absolutely nothing but great things to say about Suzy's Place in Virginia Beach!! Crazy clean at check-in & the ability to walk to the beach in 90 seconds was AWESOME!!Suzy was quick to respond, via text, to any questions we had. The location was ideal. The parking situation was unique ( across the street on a separate piece of property ), but doable.Thanks Suzy & VRBO!!

Overall stay was good. Had some difficulty finding the unit and parking. We did not use laundry facilities, that area looked a little scary.

Our Stay

We had a nice and comfortable stay! The place was decorated aesthetically pleasing and it was a great location. The only negative really was the lack of any water pressure in the shower. It was truly pitiful and didnt tealy get hot. Also, it would have been nice to have coffee available. Aside from the shower issue, it was lovely.

Oceanfront, on a quiet end of the boardwalk. Very nice pool and outdoor seating.

Great Condo - Great Location

The condo is located very close to the north end of the beach/boardwalk. Many things to do and great places to eat within walking distance. The condo was accurately described, well maintained and very cozy. Suzy was a pleasure to work with and checked in during our stay to make sure everything was okay. I would highly recommend staying here and would stay here again if we are ever in Virginia Beach again.

Perfect location

Perfect location, parking, and host communication. Interior was clean and decorations were cute and beachy. Pool was sparkling and looked inviting (we did not swim). Exterior could use a bit of power washing and a refresh, but I'm assuming that is up to the POA not the host. An overall great stay.

40th st studio

Pros- 1. Owner is very nice. 2. Studio is furnished well. 3. Dishwasher works really well. 4. Location is nice since it is on the last part of the boardwalk. 5. Check in was a breeze. 6. I like that the studio had enough towels. Cons- 1. My husband killed two cockroaches while we were there in the bathroom. He found cockroach spray under the sink, So they know it’s an issue. Secondly, we also saw two cockroaches at Doughboys, so maybe VA beach just has a bug issue. I was grossed out by this at the studio and restaurant. 2. Cookie sheet does not fit in the oven or dishwasher. 3. Needs more options for glass instead of plastic in kitchen area. 4. The laundry place needs a desperate clean out, the clothes had an extremely weird smell after washing and drying. 5. The stove needs to be cleaned because somebody who stayed there previously to us had badly burned something on the outdated burners and the fire alarm went off anytime we cooked on the stovetop. 6. The oven needs to be cleaned inside also.

Very Helpful

I want to thank the hosts for their customer service. They were very helpful when I had questions and were willing to go out of their way to help. Unit was very clean, two minutes walk from the beach, and within walking distance to multiple stores and restaurants. The only real drawback is that there is only one parking spot available and no very convenient place to park if any other guest has a car. Public garages are available but not on a 24 hour basis.The unit is located at the very rear of the building. It is a bit tricky to find as you have to walk through a restaurant outdoor seating area to the back of the alley behind it, but it is much quieter than the front of the building.The unit has a full-sized kitchen and kitchen ware to serve four people. It also has a portable dehumidifier, which is a nice touch as the air is very humid. The hosts are willing to make suggestions about what to see and do and suggest possible additional local parking spots.

Peaceful and Convenient

I wanted to spend time with my feet in the sand without hassle. No long walk needed and it had to be quiet. This nailed both. The building is the northernmost property on the boardwalk. The unit is tucked into building facing northeast with pool view in forefront. Pool was rarely used. Nice quality beach chair, umbrella, beach towel and small cooler were provided. It took less than a minute to walk from door to boardwalk. Making it super easy to come and go. Never needed a car but if I had, the parking was literally the closest possible-directly across Atlantic Ave sharing the corner with the 7-11. I grabbed an Uber from airport to grocery store Harris Teeters and bought groceries. Grabbed a second Uber from there and had a 10-15 minute ride to unit. Only needed 7-11 once, but appreciated knowing it was there. The bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows. Bath stocked with quality toiletries and towels. Air conditioning and a portable humidifier both worked great. I loved the keyless entry aspect. Took the bike out to explore area There was a festival with live music and vendors 3 of the 5 days yet I couldn’t hear anything yet could walk down to check it out. The higher energy and crowds were well managed while “my” part of the beach remained calm. I especially enjoyed sitting in the lounge chairs overlooking the beach in the grassy common area only for guests. Great alternative for beach views while reading or sipping a cocktail. Definitely would return in a heartbeat!

Birthday weekend

Had a wonderful time…right on the beach. Pool was nice. Our room was clean, comfortable and on the quieter side of the building. Suzy the property owner was accommodating. She allowed us to check in early and we could reach her for any issues. Recommend highly and we will be back!

Perfect for us

The little studio was darling. The location was great! We loved having the beach almost to ourselves, just walk down in minutes. The cute lawn area was perfect for morning coffee. Having the bikes available was great fun. Then being able to walk over to Tulus was a treat for eating and feeling fancy! The only , and I mean only, problem was the jets flying over got to be annoying. But no one has control over the US Navy.

Beautiful getaway

My husband and I spent our 10 year anniversary here and we absolutely loved it. Steps from the beach and it wasn't super busy. Lovely place we will attempt to come back to.

Unpleasant

I found the property to have an infestation of both ants and cockroaches. I contacted the host regarding my concerns, and they offered to stop by to spray some Raid. I chose to decline this request. I found the property to be held to a lower standard of cleanliness than other places I’ve stayed. I wish there’d been a review like mine to deter me from booking.
