Family getaway

Great property for a family or group to share with 3 separate bedrooms and 3 toilets/2 bathrooms - 2 great living areas too and straight across the road to a beautiful beach - central to everything in Nelson will def stay again

Close to beaches and dog-friendly

Polly's View is a great place to stay with a group of friends! Also v dog-friendly so if you've got a pup with you, I highly recommend staying here. Upon arrival we got a care package, and amenities were more than was expected! Checking in/out instructions were very easy to follow too. Thanks again for having us!

Beautiful property

We had a relaxing weekend away. The property is large and well catered. The beds and linen were comfortable and good quality. And the views were amazing, we would definitely stay again. The check in was slightly confusing with an email form that needed to be completed prior to arrival, but couldn’t be submitted due to a technical problem. All sorted once we collected the key from the property agent.

Thoroughly recommended

We had a lovely time staying at Polly's View with our dog. The house is very clean, modern and well-appointed. A short walk to Bagnall's Beach. Netflix and Foxtel available. What made the difference though, were the little details often missing in holiday rentals, eg enough kitchen towels, serviettes, toiletries, a scourer to wash dishes, dishwashing tablets, remote controls that actually work! A lovely welcome pack with snacks and wine even! Made for a very pleasant experience.

Wonderful!

We will be back! Very happy with this accomodation. Great location for us - but be aware it is a 15/20 minute walk (not all of which is flat) into the main centre. There are beaches across the road. A very well equiped kitchen - thank you! Easy after hours check in. Lots of space for a family of 5. Lots of stairs so probably not suitable for toddlers or elderly. On the main road into town so some might find it noisy.

Highly recommend!

Booked a break for 5 nights for family (2 adults, 3 kids (14, 13 & 11) & 2 dogs (Labradors) and was very happy! The duplex was fully equipped (and I mean FULLY equipped) with everything you need. We generally take things we need with us, but didn't have to as everything in there. Apartment was very clean, fresh and modern. We are hard markers on accommodation but we felt at home immediately in this place. As it does span over 3 levels, we wouldn't recommend young children or elderly guests. Our dogs were fine outside, however there is no grass or soft area's so I'd recommend bringing a pet bed or blankets for pets to sleep on. We chose this place due to it's proximity to Bagnalls Beach (a dog beach) across the road and it was excellent. If you are looking for a beautiful, comfortable, well equipped place for a break away, I would recommend.

Suits older families

Really lovely property, clean and well set up inside with everything you could need, as per all the other reviews here. My only concern would be the stairs. There's 4 levels at this property, the master bedroom is on the ground floor, garage & 2 bedrooms on level 2, lounge on level 3 and kitchen/dining on level 4. My family are older, so we were fine, but it makes for a long walk from top to bottom. Also, the front balcony was filthy, covered in sticks, leaves and crusted on bird poo. It was clear it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. It had the best views but was unusable for us, even after we swept and mopped it ourselves.

Very dirty

Dear management,The property was felthy when we arrivedSpiders and cocorages were everywhere.I have taken some photos if you want to seeIt sounds like you’ve had quite a stressful situation! Here’s a refined version of your description:My nephew was stung by a spider inside the house, while sitting on the couch.I had to wash all the bedsheets again because there were small ants on them.I would appreciare if you understand the importance of this complaint.I would really consider some sort of refund as a compensation to this matter

Everything you need and much more!

We wanted a short break away from the early chill of Canberra, and stumbled across Pollys View as we wanted to be close to the beach and could take our furry friend. We liked the look of the place from the website, but on arrival discovered the pictures dont do the place justice. This is a beautiful and comfortable home in a great location. Within an easy walking distance to the dog friendly beach (2 minutes), town (10 minutes) and harbour (15 minutes). Recently renovated and incredibly clean, everything you need and more is provided. The kitchen is complete with good quality appliances, cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and every gadget you could possibly need. Lots of room in the lounges to relax and watch Foxtel/Netflix/free-to-air listen to music on Spotify. (easy to interpret instructions that even my dinosaur of a husband could follow are provided for everything). Random thoughtful extras such as the wine and biscuits welcome pack, books, board games and mobile cooler pack to take to the beach. Cant recommend it highly enough - we will definitely be back!!

Severe water damage

While at first look the property presents well, however this quickly changed. This place needs extensive repairs. When the rain came it came inside, running down the walls, leaking through the skylights. This caused me to fall on to the stairs where I slipped down and hurt myself. The water caused flooding in the master bedroom creating concern when having to get my phone charger from the water damaged wall and power outlet. The curtains and walls have clear evidence of mould. To spend out vacation cleaning and managing the water damage is not relaxing and we are very disappointed for the amount we spent.

Fantastic Property!

Polly's View was a lovely place to stay. It's very well appointed with many unexpected extras including a great espresso machine that makes great lattes, every piece of kitchen equipment you could ever need, although the kitchen knives need sharpening, great technology, TV's with Foxtel & Netflix and it even had 2 dog food bowls and a pooper scooper for our furry family member. The place is clean & bright and very well laid out with tasteful artworks & interesting nick-nacks. It was truly a home away from home and like staying in someone's actual residence. Very highly recommended & we will be back, I'm sure. The owners should be congratulated. Well Done Guys!

Great house in good location

The house was great for a family/group as there are several areas that people can relax in. Modern kitchen appliances as well as many other mod cons supplied. Our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed the off leash beach (Bagnalls) which was right across the road from the house. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at Polly’s View! The property was clean, spacious and had lovely views. We appreciated all the extra touches- kitchen hamper, wine, board games and bath products. We look very forward to returning!

Brilliant family holiday

This property is wonderfully kitted our with everything the whole family may need to have a luxurious holiday. Everything worked perfectly and all little details considered. The owners went above and beyond with a lovely Xmas tree and hamper to add to our beach Xmas . Doggos loved the free range beach just down the road. Fantastic beach house - we would love to come back!!

Great property at a great location

The property was fantastic and had everything we needed. It was very clean and had a great layout. The check in service was difficult. We had to attend a key hub and use an iPad & locker system that was faulty. The phone numbers listed for assistance didn’t work and we wasted an hour trying to return the key on our day of departure. It’s a shame that the house itself is great but the check in service was so frustrating

Superb accomodation

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Pollys’ View for the weekend. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing break with lovely water views. It is beautifully styled, very clean and has been set up with everything you need - coffee machine, bbq, 3 TV’s, board games, Foxtel and even an iPad with an awesome playlist! Highly recommended accomodation. You will not be disappointed.

Great weekend getaway

What a fantastic location, with views across the bay and a choice of pet friendly or swimming beaches. A 20 minute walk or a short 5 minute drive to the marina and the choice of cafes and shops. The house provides everything for people including a welcome basket and wine, choice of 3 bedrooms, multiple living areas, and a fantastic dining area. The pets are also taken care of with a fenced and shady area in close proximity to the people enjoying the house. Fantastic!

Holiday Heaven!

This property is an absolute credit to the owners. Immaculately presented with every possible comfort and luxury you need for a perfect holiday. We absolutely loved our stay. Even the dog didn't want to leave having enjoyed all the creature comforts provided for her! Watching the glorious sun set from the top of Mount Tomaree on our final evening was a bonus. The location is spectacular and we can't wait for our next holiday at Polly's View.
