Great house for family reunion!

50 people for a family reunion! We never had to leave the property! Fantastic place! So much space, large rooms, two kitchens, beautiful grounds.

Magical Christmas

We had an absolutely lovely stay at The Black Stallion. It was the perfect location for our company holiday party, and our team were blown away by how perfect everything was. Thank you so much to the entire Black Stallion team that helped make this possible. They made the entire process from start to finish so easy, and helped us create a really special event. I would totally recommend this property to anyone interested in coming to the OBX area, and I'd love to stay there again in the future!

Wonderful property!

We had the most incredible time at the Black Stallion. Communication was fantastic and we had plenty of space for all our guests. We had many different options for where to host the events throughout the weekend. It was just perfect for our small wedding!!!

Annual Super Bowl Family Trip... Awesome OBX Experience!

**OUTSTANDING** We travel to a different place every year for Super Bowl and my family can not stop talking about this Beautiful Amazing big house. The Black Stallion has enough space that you don't feel over crowded with 44 people. This was the biggest we have ever gotten and it was a great experience for all of us. This beauty is well maintained. All of my family members enjoyed their big rooms and extra lounge spaces on the floors. We love to cook wherever we go and Chef of the group had a blast (her only request was a food processor) 😂😂. Our clean up crew only request was to have two updated dishwashers😘. The pictures and video of this house are amazing but it is to die for in person. I definitely would book The Black Stallion again. The staff was great in this whole process. Even though I did not get my clothes I left in the closet back. I still give this property 5 stars. Thank you to everyone involved!

Destination Group Travel, LLC Gives 5 Stars to Black Stallion!

When we searched several sites to find a vacation home for a large family & friends group of 50 guests, of varying ages (4-78), we were quite challenged. When I discovered The Black Stallion and reviewed the gallery of photos, I knew I had found a gem! The pictures do not do this place justice! The rooms are immaculate and more spacious than expected. The kitchen is fully equipped for large meals. The house is located in a secluded cul-de-sac, bordered by thick trees. The young 20 somethings in our party were able to play their music late at night and hang out at the pool as late as they wanted--and the place is so large that the other guests were not disturbed. There's a sound system that can be played throughout the property (indoor and out) in designated areas via bluetooth app. The elevators really came in handy during check in and check out and when transporting food and supplies to the pool house for parties. The location is close to the beach, the Sound, the grocery store, the seafood market, the welcome center for ORV passes, WINGS, etc... and lies within a Golf Resort! We received wrist bands allowing complimentary access to the Currituck Club and all it has to offer--including a shuttle for group trips to the beach, shopping etc. The only place our guests actually had to drive for was a trip to visit Nags Head Pier for fishing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and ensured that we had all we needed to have a great stay. Annette is truly amazing and was very patient with my constant questions... The only issue we had was with towels... If you're bringing a large group, I'd advise that you bring your own. The linen service crew shows up daily to change out towels that are left in hampers in the laundry rooms (there's one on each floor). I'm not sure if a guest was hoarding towels or what, but each day we had guest who had to launder towels from other guests because they had none. The towels are also not the best quality--so yes, bring your own. All in all, the Black Stallion was the perfect place for what I’m sure will be one of our families most memorable vacations. Extraordinary!

We rented this for a family vacation to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. The house is outstanding. It is well maintained and very well stocked. There is a ton of space for everyone to spread out and lots of activities to keep everyone entertained. I can't imagine anything you would need during your stay that isn't provided (except maybe pool towels and hair dryers, which is stated in the communications prior to your arrival). The location is good, albeit not ocean-front. It was not hard to get to the beach though. We wished there were umbrellas or more shade at the pool. The main parts of the house were very well cooled by the HVAC system, which is remarkable due to the size of the house and we were there in very hot July. The bedrooms were a little uneven - some were cold and some were warm. We fiddled with the vents and couldn't get it right but there are ceiling fans in every bedroom so it was no big deal. Overall, it was magnificent and a great time was had by all. The caretaker who works directly for the owner (not KEES) was outstanding as well.
