Welcome to Whalebone Ocean Cottages- 3 Bedroom Oceanside Cottage!

Located in south Nags Head at milepost 16.5, this contemporary 3-bedroom oceanside cottage is sure to please; with 2 Queen bedrooms and a bedroom with a Twin over Full bunk bed for accommodations for up to 8 guests. The oceanside cottage is also equipped with a fully stocked kitchen for cooking when you aren't going to the many nearby restaurants.

All of the cottages feature the KEES standard amenity package including soap amenity dispensers, K-Cup coffee makers, high quality linens and bath towels and free Wi-Fi access. Take advantage of the KEES Flex-Stay System where there are no check in day restrictions or mandatory 7 night minimums. Whether you want to take a dip in the custom concrete pool, grill out with family and friends or step out onto the beach, Whalebone Cottage Court offers it all!

This property has 2 parking spots for guests.

**Private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on Memorial Day and close after Labor Day. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.

Great Time in OBX

We loved the property location - short walk to the beach and short drive to conveniences. The property was in great condition. We would have preferred more than one trash bag and roll of toilet paper and other essentials as we flew in and didn’t have the capacity to take it back.

Family beach Road Trip

Stayed at location as the last leg of a family beach road trip along the Outer Banks. Property was clean and well maintained, great area, check in was easy and as advertised. Communication with company was great and they were very responsive when contacted.

The property was exactly as presented in a sweet small Oceanside community with a pool. GREAT beach access! House was clean and well appointed. Would definitely stay again🙂

Good location

Overall a good place to stay. There were a couple issues which had been taken care of but one. Took a couple days to get to us. Place was not that clean bedrooms were bathrooms somewhat and kitchen not so clean when we got there place ciuld use a good clean dusting lights and ceiling fans cleaning cabinets and outside of appliances

Awesome location and beach access!

We enjoyed our stay at the Whalebone cottage. It was quiet, had a nice pool, awesome beach access with a short walk to the pier, easy check-in and check-out, and the location was convenient to everything! My only complaint was that we couldn't connect to the wifi. We did call the management company who said they would contact the owner and get back to us, we never heard back. I saw this was the same complaint from past guests. All of the other positives outshined that one negative. We will definitely stay here again!

Honest review to hopefully help others. We stay in vacation rentals at this price point quite often so I believe we have realistic expectations. Read the description carefully instead of looking at the pictures. You can’t see the ocean or pool from cottage A. You will receive one bath towel per person. Keep in mind there is no washer or dryer and no housekeeping service to refresh those or bring more. Be prepared to bring or buy beach towels. None are provided, nor are beach chairs or umbrellas, although you can rent from different places down there who deliver and pick up which is convenient. The beds are not the best. Cheap spring mattresses and linens. Our fitted sheet even had a hole in it. Couches are worn and stained. Otherwise, clean. First day after showering I realized there was no hairdryer. We did not pack one because the listing said one was provided. I called guest services and they were polite but offered no ETA and couldn’t reach housekeeping. We were late to meet family due to this and the fact that 3 men showed up to do a fire inspection inside our cottage which was not communicated to us in advance. Glad we were there! The only upside to this was one of them was kind enough to bring me a hairdryer from another unit. Interestingly, Guest Relations told me I couldn’t get one from another unit because they were all occupied. The man told me that was not the case and we were the ONLY occupied cabin, which was evidenced by us being the only car for days.
Couches. 3 total and all looked like this. Would have laid out towels to sit on if there were any extras.
