Not as expected

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Honolulu was a beautiful destination with lovely people but condo was disappointing, did not look like the pictures, clean but rundown and could do with some updating. Rust and buildup of dirt around air vents and water sprinklers, chipped paintwork throughout.

Absolutely Beautiful

This property was perfect for a family. We appreciated the convenience of having beach chairs and bogie boards. This condo is beautiful. I would recommend this property to anyone with kids, young or older. Stay here for a relaxing time.

The restaurant there is great! The only downfall was the noise from the city. I was surprised how much of the traffic and city noise we could hear from that high up. I’m a light sleeper and it kept me up at night and woke me up in the morning. Great location if you want to be between Honolulu and Waikiki. It was a great size for the 4 of us.

Unit needs maintenance

I had allergies the moment I entered. The vents and window air conditioners had to been cleaned in forever. There was mold in all of the above. The doors to the outside were very difficult to open and close. Sometimes we would need two people to close the door to the deck. The door to the twin bedrooms came off the tracks every time you opened them. This unit needs a very deep clean and some TLC.

Location & Great Spaces & VIEWS

Located just adjacent to the lagoon in Waikiki. Highly walkable to beaches and city. The floorplan is super family friendly. We spent lots of time on the balcony watching the water and the action below. Beds and bedding very nice quality, and a couple extra shower towels were available, and pool towels for all. Also the unit had beach chairs and a cooler which came in incredibly handy to us. We had some climate control challenges (primarily user error) and the management was very responsive. It’s cooled with ceiling fans and individual AC units and there were additional oscillating floor fans in both bedroom closets to help keep cool breezes flowing. Valet parking was notably efficient. Key code entry to the unit was also easy. The age may not come through in the photos. It’s not all shiny new. The building has a cafe, a market, an ice cream shop, and more all in the lobby. We loved our stay here and appreciated the many very positive aspects to our stay.

The complex itself is a little dated compared to those more recently built with the pool area poor by modern standards and the on-site restaurant below par. It does however have all the essentials for longer stays such as a laundry room. If you intend to use the beaches and multitude of good nearby restaurants and bars (as we did) then this a great spot to base yourself. It is an easy stroll into central Waikiki or to the Ala Moana Shopping Center and has a good ABC Store across the road. All the activity companies we used picked us up from outside the hotel (or very near by). We can recommend 'Snorkeling with the Turtles' (Hawaii Nautical) and the Circle Island Tour (Oahi Private Tours) and Golf at Turtle Bay Golf Club.

Nice view, but...

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit has a nice view, location, & living room furniture, it also has some issues renters should know. 1. The bed in the master needs to be replaced; it sags badly in the middle, & even though a thick foam pad & a topper have been added it’s just mushy. Two people would roll into the middle together. The topsheet was not a fitted sheet so it was loose the whole time. 2. The VRBO listing stating the unit had cable TV & TV in master...Not. The welcome book said on how to use the cable remote but there wasn’t one. The bedroom had a huge blob in the middle of the screen instead of a picture & broadcast signal in the bedroom was awful. We used the Ali’i app to request service; no response.3. The unit has two split A/C units in the living room but no air in the bedrooms. Running fans pointed into the bedrooms never cooled the master below 79°F. There are notes all over to turn off the A/C & close shutters when leaving the unit and on return it was 90° inside. It took Hours to cool the living room. Also the A/C units don’t work quite right, e.g., no panels to use Swing function. 4. The unit was clean, but had a few issues. The bathrooms have vents at eye level that prob have never been cleaned, so in the shower you look into a filthy vent - truly disgusting. Additionally there were two standing fans, which was helpful, but they too were disgustingly filthy.5. Miscellaneous oddities: the windows have floor to ceiling shutters so neither of the living room lamps can be plugged in until you open shutters and plug in.6. Our two maintenance requests regarding the TVs not working went unanswered, not even an acknowledgement. The Ali’i computer seemed to have trouble handling our two reservations (2nd one on Maui) so communication and signing into app didn’t work well. Ali’i on Maui was great, seems Oahu branch has some work to do!

True Gem in Hawaii

Truly a great location, as advertised, and a historic hotel that has a lot of charm. The view is great! Bell man is great as well who even brought up groceries to the room. Everything about the stay there was great.

Absolutely amazing!

I have stayed in Waikiki many times and decided to VRBO this time. I am so glad that I made the decision. Such a lovely place. Wish I would’ve done it sooner.

Sunrise to sunset perfection

We loved the views! Every morning, we'd sit on the patio and watch the sun rise, listening to the waves and the chiming of the ropes on the boats down in the marina. The hotel is located in a busy area -- lots of options for affordable food and shopping, easy walking distance all the way down Waikiki, and easy access to one of the prettiest part of the beach. Staff was excellent. Services were excellent. Easy to recommend and we'd be happy to stay here again!

Relaxing Stay

Beautiful view. Very clean. Well appointed. Just a few things that we see as needed changes. No cutting board to be found. Coffee not provided. Taking out trash was awkward. I believe this should be done by cleaning staff. Elevators SUPER slow. We had to evacuate two mornings for fire issues. First one clearly had smoke and heard a microwave exploded. Evacuation handled extremely well by staff. Second one, no smell of smoke and no explanation. Upsetting as it was 7:00 AM.

amazing property

Pictures do not tell the story...such beautiful sunsets from the balcony overlooking the harbor, comfortable seating, convenient food choices and store in lobby. Perfection!

Close to all things Waikiki!

Perfect condo for my small family. Close enough to the Waikiki hub, but far enough away to not deal with crowds! My little one was a big fan of the 10 min walk to the beach!

2024 Spring Break

This was a fantastic vacation. The only thing that didn’t seem accurate was the pool access. There are two pools that no longer belong to this property and have signage that states only their (neighboring hotel) registered guest are allowed to use them.

Beautiful Ocean View Condo

Our seven night stay was wonderful! The views from inside the condo and the balcony were fabulous! The location was convenient for shopping, the beach, and catching excursions. All this was a short walk! The condo was well stocked and just as described. We would defiantly recommend this unit and would love to visit again!
