Family vacation to the Destin area for Fall Break. Very easy to communicate with the owner. Great location with a very short walk to the beach. 2 pools to choose from and plenty of seating. Condo was nicely furnished and very clean. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful Condo

We enjoyed our week at this property. Everything was easy to navigate including the location, check in, communication with the owner, and check out instructions. The condo was clean, comfortable, had all the necessities of home, was in a great location with an easy walk to the beach, and was well decorated. Will recommend to others staying in the area.

Buyer Beware, misleading property description. This is not a cottage!

Weber defines a cottage as a usually small house for vacation use or a small detached dwelling unit at an institution. The word cottage appears 8 times in the property description. We went on fall break this year expecting a cottage, but got a bottom floor apartment instead and all that comes with it... running and stumping feet above us into the wee hours of the morning and just when you finally dose off, the thunderous flush of a toilet above you at 3am or so every night like clockwork to ruin a good night's sleep and a vacation for that matter. Couldn't really enjoy the screened in patio because the guy next door was smoking and coughing up a lung for 2 days straight. If we wanted an apartment or condo, we would have searched for one as there were plenty of good options. Shame on you for misleading your guest! Buyer Beware, this is not a cottage, it is a bottom floor apartment or to be kind a condo at best

Overall great time, a last minute getaway

Very easy reservation process, the owner communicated well with me about damage deposit costs, unit very clean, kitchen well stocked (impressed there was a French press, I had brought my own), very relaxing time.

Family Fun!

Cottage was perfect for us (family of 4 with 2 teens), clean, spacious, and all the amenities we needed. Beach chairs and toys were handy too. Great location and nice property. Short walk to beautiful beach.

Spring break 2021

Great stay; the property is clean and comfortable, and lots of extras! Best stocked of numerous rentals we’ve stayed in at Hidden Dunes. Couch is super comfy, great large table for dining and board games! All items as listed, fast walk to beach or pools, easy parking. Responsive, hospitable owner. Would absolutely recommend and will return.

Quiet and family friendly

I brought my wife and 2 children (5 & 7) to this cottage for a 4 day weekend. We had a great time! The house is nicely decorated and conveniently located. The house was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again sometime in the future!

Amazing property - sun, rest and relaxation!!

We were looking for a relaxing, stress-free get-away and this property completely met our needs. While not always an option with rentals, we were fortunate (and lucky enough) to work with the owner for a slightly earlier check-in time which allowed our little ones to keep their nap schedule (and made both families incredibly happy). The owner and property mgmt team were on top of things and very attentive when we had a small issue with the refrigerator the first day. From there, we had regular check-ins with the owner to ensure all else was well. The property location to the beach was slightly more than 400 steps (JK .... we are shorter people so 600 steps wasn’t bad) and the pools were certainly refreshing!! We can’t wait to come back with our family!! A couple very MINOR notes if you have littles ones (and this isn’t a distraction from staying in this lovely cottage or property but rather prepare for your trip): there are a fair number of stairs once you get to the beach itself. We ended up leaving our wagons up top and carrying everything down in a couple trips. We recommend purchasing the chair and umbrella package down at the beach for your stay! So worth it!! Last, both of the tubs have fairly high walls so for us shorter mommas, we had to stand to give our little ones baths.

Originally from the Carolinas (me) and Atlanta (wife), we have lived in Houston, Texas since 2009. We have two children that spend every waking moment at the beach when we are there. We first visited the Destin area in 2013 and fell in love with the area. We can’t get enough of the sugary white sands and crystal clear waters.

Hidden Dunes is truly a hidden gem in the Destin area. We love the secluded and laid-back feeling you get once you pass through the gates of Hidden Dunes. The abundance of trees and landscaping give you a remote island feel for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The staff on site are extremely attentive and helpful. Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico means that nothing stands in the way of you and a relaxing day on the sugar-white shores of the Gulf. No more driving long distances to find a beach without available parking. This Gulf-front resort offers more private beach access per unit than any location in the area.

Hidden Dunes offers six championship Rubico clay courts framed by living windscreens, which uphold the resort’s reputation as the premier beach and tennis property on the Emerald Coast. Tennis enthusiasts flock to Hidden Dunes year round to enjoy seasonal tennis activities, tournaments, instructional programs taught by USPTA teaching staff and matchmaking services. The professionally staffed tennis center features natural vegetation that add to your privacy and assure minimal interruption from other players.

We love the location of the Hidden Dunes resort because it is away from the hustle and bustle of Destin traffic but positioned perfectly to get to everything you need. If the Destin Harbor, waterpark, or go-carts are what you are looking for then you are just a short drive away. If shopping is what you are after, the Silver Sands Outlet is less than a mile away. Most of the time we find ourselves turning right out of the Hidden Dunes entrance and heading away from the Destin area towards the slower pace you will find in areas like Seaside Beach. Just a 20 minute drive from Hidden Dunes, the Seaside Beach area has an outdoor amphitheater with live music on Wednesday nights starting at 7pm (Memorial Day – Labor Day). Surrounding the outdoor music you will find food trucks lining the streets of more upscale restaurants and outdoor shopping. Not up for a 20 minute drive? Less than 2 miles East of Hidden Dunes, we love to spend the late afternoon and early evening at the Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, featuring shops, restaurants and the Boulevard 10 movie theater.
