Just awesome!

This was one of my favorite places for our annual getaway with the family. So relaxing..the outside space was the best. A suggestion to the owner/ manager tho. A “how to” “find it” manual would be helpful. Had a few problems getting some things to work..but overall..definitely staying on the do again list!

This house was wonderful. It was well out of Scottsdale so quite a drive to get groceries and far from the airports. Roads were pretty rough. The patio was worth it. It was a beautiful view. We loved the house.

We were four golfers that wanted our own bedrooms and bathrooms. This house was perfect for our needs. House was had plenty of room, was very clean, had everything there we needed, everything worked and it was a pleasure to spend out time there.

Rio Verde Stay

The home is beautiful in a great location and looks just like the photos. We did arrive to find out that we only had two rolls of toilet paper and no face towels for us to use. We ended up having to go out to purchase essential items which was not good considering the price of renting this property. We had a few other minor issues but the house manager came and did his best to resolve those.

Beautiful house - well worth it

This house is absolutely stunning and so much better than the pictures reveal. The mountain views from the backyard are fantastic. We really enjoyed the hot tub. (Pool was too cold in January) The kitchen was spacious and very easy to prepare meals. There are enough coffee machines, cookware, spices, etc. It is very easy to lounge on the family room couch and the backyard furniture. I was also able to work remotely and the WiFi was consistent and reliable. Howard the contact person was extremely friendly and responsive to every question and concern. He made the entire experience that much better - just knowing you could contact someone with questions. We have stayed in many places in this area and this is definitely a favorite. The only thing to note was that this is in the country and on dirt roads. The grocery store is about 25 mins away. This was fine for us and we got used to it. Make sure you follow their directions about entering on 164th St. It is an easier entrance. Enjoy you won’t regret it!

Me and my lady and son had a great time at this house. Beautiful home in a very peaceful remote area. We loved our stay very relaxing. I’d definitely recommend and I will be back. The host was awesome. Very communicative and easy to contact .

Great house, awful management

We are a family of 6 who travel frequently. We arrived very late first night, turned up thermostats, & simply crashed. Up & out early on day 2, master bedroom without temp change (stayed 55 degrees), but we were out late again that day. Turned thermostat up again & went to bed. On day 3, no increase in room temp. Also tried to cook for first time that day...oven nonfunctional. Called property contact, Howard. Howard quickly informed me that the vacation rental company was supposed to tell me that the oven doesn’t work. They didn’t. And considering the property is fairly remote and on unpaved roads, it’s not the easiest commute to local dining. Plus it’s not inexpensive to eat out as a party of 6 every meal. Having an oven is part of why we stay in a VRBO rather than hotel. He told us we could use the convection toaster oven (admittedly a good size) and/or the BBQ outside. He also tried walking me through the nonfunctional thermostat/HVAC in the MBR to no avail and ultimately brought two space heaters for the room/bathroom. Said a tech couldn’t get out to property until after our stay. In response, I sent the following text: Ok. I will discuss our issues with VRBO and our credit card company. We have booked multiple properties through Vrbo over the years and this is the least satisfactory stay we’ve had. From the lack of communication regarding the nonfunctional oven (an issue for a party of 6 staying a distance from easy dining), the HVAC issue, to a broken coffee pot, a dead rodent on the front porch, a fridge full of perishable goods on arrival, etc, this has been a series of quality breaches. Very disappointed. His Reply: This is Arizona Lady We have rodents. I suppose in the summer you would complain about rattlesnakes or Lizards! As to perishables in the fridge They were not perished were they? The housekeeper leaves any guest goods that are in suitable condition. Condiments are left for your convenience. You will be the first guest ever to complain that we have left such food in the fridge. You have the choice of using them or discarding them. The coffee pot was fine when my housekeeper and I myself checked it, before you arrived. Did you break it? I dislike your attitude. Sorry, as a consumer paying for a hospitality service, we were underwhelmed & do not recommend the property due to the manager’s response. He tried to salvage things in the end, but too little, too late. Beware!

We had lots of fun. Grilled, hiked, used the hot tub. We had 8 people but it could easily fit 8.

Wow... just wow

This home absolutely exceeded expectations. The pictures simply do not do it justice. The layout of the home is such that you can have many guests but still have adequate privacy. Each room and bathroom is spaced perfectly to feel as though you have your own area all your own. Not only is the home huge and beautifully decorated, it also has some nice touches that make you feel completely at home. The living room and each bedroom has it's own TV and Apple TV which makes evening relaxing so much more comfortable. Binge to your hearts content if you like! The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the necessary dishes and utensils so you can go about your daily life as if you were home. The place is somewhat off the beaten path which means it's extremely quiet and peaceful. I will DEFINITELY be coming back. Highly recommend this place especially for a larger group.

Great house for a large family or several couples

Its a beautiful big home and very inviting. We loved the 4 bathrooms strategically located and pairing with bedrooms gving everyone their own space. The two outdoor spaces are great for outdoor living with a large group. We had a special request and were very thankful the owner accomodated us. Seemed like it took about 30 minutes to get to restaurants or stores but we cooked most meals at the house so not a big deal to our group. The house lacked hair dryers (were told they were provided), coffe pot/filters (were told provided), pool water was not clean, house had a few electrical issues. Since it is a new listing probably most of these issues will probably be worked out. All in all a great house.
