The place had good updates. The canal view is nice, with a little view of gulf. Nice short walk to beach, longer walk to pool. Hottub near room is closed for repair. Poor storm devastated the area and it seems like they are working hard to clean things back up. The outdoor chairs are terrible on the patio. One leg on plastic outdoor chair is broken and my husband nearly busted his butt. We didn’t have a table, as shown in pictures. The master shower, bath has a broken shelf and shower head needs some attention. Plan to buy toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towel, dish detergent and maybe dish soap. We left some pool toys, dish pods and outdoor cups for the next visitor. The kids said couch was comfortable. The sheets were stained as well and comforters but all except for hideaway bed were clean. Overall, place was clean. Communication was ok, not all questions were always answered but responses were fairly quick. There was charcoal left for next tenant and a little tent. I would certainly recommend a wagon, cooler, beach mat, pool towels, fishing pole and shade canopy if you’re driving and enjoy those things. A noise maker if you sleep lightly, we enjoyed the music but the bar across the canal plays late and is loud. Bring your own shampoo. They did have a bar of soap.

No beach towels, no extra linens, font door broken, carpet had huge stain. View great. Just very disappointed for the price difference between a regular unit and premium unit. Will not stay in this unit again.

Large rooms with lots of storage. But whole condo needs upgraded - very old fashioned bathrooms and kitchen. Quite a lot of noise from nearby bars in the evenings.

Fall Vacation

The property was well kept,the condo was clean & comfortable with great views. My biggest compliant is the ridiculously loud music coming from the toasted monkey across the bay. It started daily at 6 pm & continued to 10 pm. It is so loud you can't hear your TV over it and actually rattles the windows of the condo.

The condo we reserved had a beautiful view, but I was very disappointed the condition the condo was in! It is very outdated in furnishing, furniture very uncomfortable, beds uncomfortable, bedding covers faded, cheap decor including kitchen silverware and plates etc. Basically every aspect needs updated badly! My daughter stayed in building 5, and there condo was top notch very up to date, very tasteful decor. It was so comfortable and perfect in every way, and we paid the exact same price. I’m disappointed!

This was a very dated unit. Because we were notified of that in advance it wasn't an issue. However, we chose it due to the location of a hot tub right next to the building. Upon arrival we saw it was out of order and were told it had been and would be out for some time. I feel we should have been notified of this amenity change as it would have affected our choice in building. The unit carpets, especially master bedroom, were filthy and all beds extremely uncomfortable. The biggest concern is it would have been helpful to know that very little was provided at the condo for our stay, for example no beach towels seems odd for a beachfront condo. Emerald isle had everything and then some as a rental of this price should.

We were able to observe dolphins and fish right from the balcony. However, the unit was not clean to our modest standards. The unit is advertised as for 6 people; however in reality only 4 people could sleep comfortably. My dad is 71 and he slept on the sofa in the living room which appears very old and it was extremely painful for him to sleep due to the hard ridge and the fact that it's very narrow. As of note my dad is slim and normally never complained re sleeping arrangements in the past. Additionally there were only 3 blankets and sets of linens for 5 people only. For our 5th person we found some old throw and just used that. Upon arrival to the unit we found the the balcony door would not lock. We arrived Saturday. We were told to wait till Monday for the lock to get fixed. I was very concerned about living the property unlocked for obvious reasons. So on my first day of vacation instead of relaxing and distressing I had to explain the management why it was important to have the lock fixed prior us leaving anywhere to protect owner's property and ours. I had to be convincing and even somewhat argumentative to get this lock fixed which caused me stress. So we invested a lot of time to create our vacation so that we arrive early enough in a day to run to the beach and sweem but instead we had to first resolve the broken lock issue. We had several other issues at a later time which got fixed with no problems. Regarding the beach, pro, water was very warm and gorg sunsets; con, sand was the dirtiest I have seen...stepped on glass bottle once, etc. I noticed sand was cleaned once in our 2 weeks stay. When we stayed in Sarasota it was often daily to compare. At the end of our stay the elevator broke and it was still broke when we were living. My 2 parents are disabled. It was extremely difficult to load the car when leaving without an elevator. We were compensated a few doll. for this but never Again.
