This is a gorgeous little cottage right on the water with magnificent views. It was perfectly equipped for our remote work trip, very comfortable, and it had to be the cleanest place I'd ever stayed at. The property manager was in touch with us to make sure we got in OK, and let us know that the place was ready if we wanted to check in early. We had no issues for this stay - they were very responsive when we messaged to ask about closing procedures. We will definitely stay again!

This little cottage was ideal for us! We wanted a place close enough to Newport that we could visit the mansions several times, which we did. We were pleased to find that it is located in a beautiful location and there are several restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The host was also responsive and so helpful. We've stayed in many rentals all over the country and this one had the best towels, so fluffy. But the BEST part - the view! We spent many relaxing hours watching the birds, the boats, the rising moon. Even on a rainy day, it was beautiful. All in all, a perfect stay.

Cute cottage on Sakonnet River

This cottage was perfect. A beautiful view, close to Newport with a very nice Food Market and Coffee Shop nearby. Very quiet, in nice neighborhood. Would highly recommend it.

A perfect place by the water

This cottage was perfect for our weekend R&R. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was clean and as neat and cozy as in the pictures. The check in process was easy and our hosts Liz & Andy made the place very welcoming with some local products. The location was great - a short drive to Newport and many nice area restaurants. We look forward to returning to Serendipity in the future.

Beautiful Weekend

Weekend away

We loved our stay at this cute waterfront cottage! The views were stunning and the water was great! So much fun paddle boarding and hanging out by the water! Very convenient drive down to Newport center as well.

Peaceful

My stay in Portsmouth in the cottage was wonderful. Cottage was clean and warm well lit and the view was magnificent. I would definitely come back in September or October so that I could use the kayak. The cottage is also very close to Newport so the drive to Newport was very easy. I have only good things to say about the cottage

Amazing house with a beautiful view and attention to detail!

This house was incredible and had everything we needed. Waking up to the view of the beautiful river each morning was so relaxing. The house is only about 15 minutes from Newport too which was perfect! We had a great stay here.

A great spot for two or four. Nice property and great view. The thriving tree house coffee is a must go. The muffins are excellent and the sitting lawns are charming. Also go visit the Little Compton beach.

Absolutely Worth it!

Relaxing Waterfront Stay

We stayed 2 nights in June, and we wish our vacation schedule had allowed for longer! The views are gorgeous. The cottage is small, but well equipped, very comfortable, well decorated, and was perfect for the four of us! My son really enjoyed using the paddleboard, and we all enjoyed watching the ospreys dive for fish. Sachuest Point nearby had some great hiking trails and lovely beach! Highly recommend!

A really great, quaint find

Nothing but positives to say about this place. It's a bit smaller than the pictures make it look, but just perfect for a waterfront stay. The property manager was highly communicative, and everything went smoothly. Many little touches, like a gift card for local coffee place and a paddleboard and kayak available for use. The only complaint we had was a bit of bad weather!

Lovely Rhode Island Cottage

This Portsmouth cottage fulfilled all our expectations. This was our first trip to New England coast & we couldn't have picked a more perfect rental. Cottage was clean, great seaside location (easily visited Newport, Providence and New Bedford, MA), well equipped, and cozy. View is wonderful; sunrise magical. Beds comfortable, water pressure great. Instructions clear and communication with hosts smooth. Fresh flowers and wine on arrival very nice touch! We'd love to return.

Terrific location, just as expected. Website photos need to be updated to match current furnishings and density of placement.Washer/dryer is a plus.3 suggestions: Screens needed for the huge sliding windows facing the water (who doesn't want to hear the water lapping up on the shore?), Shaker pegs or similar for the bunk room for hanging clothes, and a table for eating on the patio. The patio is filled with cushioned and heavy pieces, with a wonderful gas grill and no place to eat outdoors. Gone are the plastic Adirondack chairs (in the photo) that we were hoping to move down to the shoreline to sit at the waterfront.Cottage size was fine for 2 people (2 adult single friends). Overall I think the owners and property managers are doing a good job with this property and it is ideal for a young family with small children.

Wonderful, quiet New Years and lots of birds.

This was a great place to spend a quiet long weekend. The cabin is exactly as it looks online. The bed and furniture were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The views of the river from the cabin are great and if you are a birdwatcher in search of winter ducks it is perfect, saw 26 bird species from the property including a Dovekie! It is close to National Wildlife refuges and an easy drive to Newport. There is a lovely grocery store 5 minutes away. The owner sent us a couple texts and was very nice. Definitely a place we would love to return to.

Beautiful views in Portsmouth

We had a great stay at this cute beach cottage. The views are fabulous, and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. There are steps down to a rocky beach- this area is great for sea glass and rock hunting! Though small, the house was perfect for our family of 3. Beds were comfortable, shower had great pressure, and everything was clean. The kitchen is small, but well stocked. We heard from both the owner and Evolve, so had no worries about who to contact if there were problems (we had no problems). The wifi isn't amazing, so it might be hard to work from this cottage if that is what you are looking for. It did not bother us at all! Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the kayak and paddleboard as well as the outdoor shower!

4th of July Getaway

Really enjoyed our stay here with my wife, son and his girlfriend. Property is right on the water so the view is really really nice. There is a kayak that we each took out in the water so that was good fun. The property is small but perfect size for 4 people as it has two bedrooms. One room has bunk beds and the other has a standard big bed - can’t remember if it was King or queen. The unit has a stackable washer and dryer so we used that which cut down on packing. There was also a couple of folding chairs that we used to go see a 4th of July parade. The kitchen was nice. We didn’t really cook but used dishes for breakfast and lunch. There is a microwave. Nice TV in the living room with lots of channels. Wifi worked great. The owner was very responsive with any questions we had. Really nice place. I would definitely consider renting agin if we come back to this area.
