The house was lovely, great set up for one or two families with the bedrooms and TV room downstairs. We had a few rainy days and the house is bright and airy enough that we were still happy to be in the house playing board games with the kids from the stack of games in the closet. And the fireplace with wood provided was gorgeous.
The only issue we had was communication with the management company. When I made the booking, I immediately sent a message asking for early check in, but didn’t get any response. I called them twice and spoke with what sounded like an off-shore customer service rep who wasn’t able to answer my questions and said I would receive a call back about early check in. I didn’t receive a call back, so I called back again, and the same thing happened. I never received a call back.
Also, the check in time of 3pm and check out time of 10am is misleading, because what it actually means is that you can’t pick up the keys to the house at the office in Lorne until 3pm, and need to return the keys to the office by 10am. This is not made clear in the listing.
Overall, the house was in great shape, lovely space, but we were frustrated to not have better service from the company.
