Great Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay. The condo was just as advertised. Loved being on the first floor and the unit was clean and well equipped. The Valencia property grounds were beautiful and well maintained and the community was quiet and very welcoming. Enjoyed the heated pool daily which was close by our lanai. This was our first stay in Pelican Bay and the amenities were amazing. Loved the tram rides through the marsh, the beach service with chairs and umbrellas included, the beautiful sunsets and the beach front restaurants/bars. The owners were great to work with, very accommodating and always responsive. Would love to return.

An honest opinion

The positive: We loved the location and would have rented this unit again simply for the area if we were unable to find a different seasonal rental. The grounds were well groomed. Access to the beach and amenities were great. The opportunities: The apartment was a little dated. We didn't use the master shower given the water flow and did have to clear clogs in both the other shower and kitchen disposal. We found the couch uncomfortable. The landlord put in a claim for "wall damage" that was denied. We didn't cause this "damage". Even if we had, I as a landlord for 25 years, would view the need to repaint one small wall as normal wear and tear.

An honest response: We believe this is a 'sour grapes' review because, due to the damages, we decided not to rent to this guest again. The damage claimed was on 2 walls, in the kitchen and dining room, and was only noted because we had previously painted prior to this guests arrival. The only reason the insurance company didn't honor the claim, that was substantiated by photos, was because the guests would not admit to the insurance company that they did it even though the guests told us it was "normal wear and tear". The length of stay was 3 months and never was anything mentioned about the shower, disposal, or couch in all that time or on their checkout and departure. In the end, they wanted to come back again next year, we decided not to do that.

Well Situated

The condo is in an excellent location being only a 5 minute walk to the tram station and Commons which allows access to the beach. The condo is well equipped and very clean with easy access on the first floor. The owner promptly forwarded any information coming from the condo association informing us of all activities and planned events. He was also courteous and prompt to reply to any questions and inquiries we had. We highly recommend this condo to anyone wishing to rent in Pelican Bay.
