Great home!

We were visiting family in Morrisville and stayed here for a long weekend. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable! Great place for our visit! Great game

Before even we got in the owner sort of threatened us with big fines

Owner was very rude in judgment of our group. We were all over 70 and she kinda threatened us with all don’t s and fines associated with it. Also she said that she was watching us through her surveillance camera outside the door and no more than 9 sleep there(actually we were 8). And also that she lived with her friend a few blocks away and probably spied on us. I have saved her email to prove it. I would NEVER EVER rent this property. You can’t judge people before they even arrive. We were all elders and not wild bunch. And by the way the beds were all caved in, indicating very poor quality of beds. We barely got to rest. She needs to improve in her attitude or stop renting all together. I have pictures on file when we got there and when we left. Just in case she tries to accuse us of something we didn’t do.

I’m sorry you felt this way, but I don’t judge or change my house rules based on who is staying. Unfortunately I’ve had to be explicit about specific rules due to guests who have not had the common sense to respect my home in the past. All the furniture and beds are less than 2 years old and typically folks ask me where I purchased my mattresses because they are so comfortable. I am also explicit about cameras so folks are not surprised when they arrive! Again unfortunately I’ve had folks abuse my home and throw parties in the past. No one likes rules, but I’d rather be up front based on my past experience so folks are not surprised. If you look through my actual house rules you’ll see that they are simply common sense courtesies. This is my home, not a hotel, and I rent it in the spirit of community and VRBO

Decent Home in Cary

If you are simply looking for a larger place to lay your head at night with easy access to a grocery store, this place is fantastic. I would ask for the FULL rules prior to booking. We were in Cary with multiple family members to visit other family members who reside in Cary. When we recieved the rules there were far stricter guidance on who could be in or out of the property. There are cameras at the front door for the owner to verify. We felt like we couldn't take Grandma back to our rental (if other family wanted to go off on an adventure) or couldn't have my 4 year old nephew have a 'sleep over' with his cousins because we were paralyzed in fear we could be charged an extra $200/person/per night. We really enjoyed the house and it was great for our family of 5, but I wish the full set of rules was completely posted prior to booking.

Hi Caitlin! Thanks for staying! Rules are specified in the listing before you book - there are no new rules sent after booking - that would be terrible! My rules are mainly to prevent parties, but I wish you had asked and I would have been able to provide you with guidance on everything! Having your Grandma over would have been completely fine! Also, the additional fee for additional overnight guests is currently $20 pp/per night, not $200. :)

Nice quiet home in Cary

Easy & comfortable place to stay . Worked out very well. Would have loved a few chairs / table on back deck & more wine glasses.

If you’re looking for a high end property this is not it. If you’re looking for a roof over your head with the bare basics then this will do just fine.
